  1. No no no...bad photos. Show the front/sides without the hair clips as well please. Otherwise, good lighting. And give a breakdown of what went into the crown. Thanks.
  2. You are fine. Just do not run a comb over the area for awhile (ideally 3-4 months) and do not get it burned (by sun or otherwise). Relax and enjoy.
  3. Can't Decide: totally agree with your strategy. I am looking for the same. Can you share any before/after crown pics and current crown pics?
  4. I believe she meant that in cases where propecia is not tolerated for whatever reason HTs can still be planned well.
  5. Surgeons should never assume propecia will work or maintain. HTs should stand on their own.
  6. Lovely result. Janna, were any grafts placed in the crown or is this the result of meds? Thanks
  7. As in I would like to know what are the risks in the doctor's opinion because I see this approach all the time nowadays by docs--hitting the corners.
  8. Thanks Spex, your opinion counts a lot. Melina has a good advocate in you. I am sure we all look forward to the leading clinics putting up new results using her method.
  9. THanks Dr. a big transformation. Does he have any left for future use? How many grafts went to the crown?
  10. Folks, I am as excited as anyone for the temp SMP story to unfold, and very grateful for Spex, Joe and others who have helped move the ball forward. I finally found her website (I know we cannot link here) and a few examples of her work on another hair site. My concern mostly stems with the before and after photos, particularly where her work is being used on folks with a lot of existing hair. In those photos, a great deal of the time the before and after photos do not match up--it is really hard to compare. For example, she will have a before photo of a guy on his back with a harsh light overhead and wet hair slicked back. On the after photo the hair will be dry, brushed forward, the light will be different and the position may have changed. Again, very excited for this, but for those looking to use this as a toppik-like effect, I am worried at the way she presents her results sometimes. Thoughts? Again, sorry, I know we cannot link the examples here.
  11. Ne 3 vertex indeed, and he was looking good. What video game was that on the screen?
  12. I agree with Future's comments Steve in both respects--acknowledging your skepticism is well founded but also acknowledging dr. Wesley is looking to advance the cause via science in the first instance, developing new means to tackle an existing problem. His public updates on his double blind trial and stated intention to review the findings in October at the big hair conference are testimony to that.
  13. I am sure dr. Wesley will post at the appropriate time. For now all is speculation in all fronts.
  14. Lorenzo, Where did you hear that this new method is done that way? From the doctor himself?
  15. Hariri did u do the scar revision procedure over the summer?
  16. Options: Fue for a buzzed look: Fue plus body hair: strip but limited; micro pigmentation; some combination of these; hairpiece; shave head; do nothing.
  17. Good question. Hope somebody with the knowledge replies....
  18. Yes if you can tolerate propecia give it a try. I would say you will need future hair transplants in the future as you are only 27, but again drugs and family history come into play here. Keep in mind you will have scabs for at least two weeks and so I would say if you want to be sure plan for at least a couple weeks off. Also go conservative in your hairline planning.
