  1. That is great to hear. I am very happy for you and this speaks volumes for this clinic. Hasson and Wong are synonomous with cutting edge work and the highest committment to their patients. Look forward to your updates. Heal well and grow!!!
  2. So Bonker am I understanding you correctly here, Dr. Hasson did this pro bono?
  3. Good call, nothing but moaning and groaning from this guy 100% of the time.
  4. Gl Yogo, the more I see of Doc Konior's work the more I am impressed. Your first procedure is a stand alone result in my mind for sure. Your second pass should result in a fantastic looking head of hair. Congrats on #1 and gl on #2.
  5. Based upon your reluctance to take Finasteride I am quite surprised you would be so eager to take minxodil with progesterone considering progesterone is a female hormone that regulates a womans ovulation and menstruation.
  6. Those scabby things resembling dried up follicle matter are just that: scabs. Post op jitters are a bitch. Hang in there you've been through it before but welcome to the hurry up and wait phase.
  7. Some clinics do transplant long strands of hair and call it something like "immediate results" hair transplantation. You would look ok for about 2 weeks and then it would shed just like a regular transplant would. If you absolutely can't shave I would just go to a surgeon who agrees to work without shaving, most of the top docs will do that if requested. If you shave your chances of having a better outcome are increased because the surgeon can more easily see the direction of your native hair and mimic nature more closely. I would just ask for posters who shaved before transplants and had to go back to office jobs right away and ask them for their experiences.
  8. Sounds great, why don't you post some pictures to illustrate what you're talking about. We would be very intersted in following your progress.
  9. You mention your circulation, do you have high blood pressure? In your last pic it looks as if two of the grafts are poking up a bit... they look like grains of white rice, but other than those two all the rest seem to be nestled down into the skin. I know when grafts are very hydrated they look like grains of rice. Have you been spraying on Grafcyte a lot?
  10. Hurry up and wait! Your analogy is a very good way of looking at the doldrums period that one must endure. Good attitude, keep your eyes on the prize. Good luck and I look forward to seeing the "girl" return...
  11. You should really call the Dr if you are very concerned. I'm sure he gave you a direct line.
  12. Sorry I was not more thoughtful, I guess I could have worded that differently. Yes you will see some dried blood in the grafts on day one, that is definitely nothing to worry about and totally normal. Maybe what is going on is that the grafts are swelling in a random fashion and that appears to make it look uneven. Dr. Beehner has shown some excellent work so I would not worry too much about it at this point. I bet after a few days things will settle down and look a lot more uniform.
  13. Having that place is a great idea for Dr. Rahal. It is close to the clinic and is very affordable. If you feel comforatble being around other newly worked on gents then this is the place to stay. Personally I would prefer to have some privacy in the days after surgery but that's just me.
  14. This looks a bit strange to me as well. Not quite sure what is going on here, you seem to have a lot of swelling around the grafts. The grafts themselves seem to be very large. With 1000 placed in the crown I would expect your crown to look a lot more uniform one day post op as well. This could just be some random swelling so I would return to the clinic if it is bothering you and have them take a look. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck let us know how things are progressing.
  15. This question comes up all the time and unfortunately being the "best" is such a subjective criteria that there is no correct answer. It's kind of like asking who is the best composer? I really think that once certain doctors have reached the cutting edge of the profession that differentiating among them is very difficult to do. I would chose from a pool of top surgeons and then narrow your choices down by speaking with and evaluating the clinics and doctors. Some are known for more aggressive hairlines while others are known for mega sessions etc... Do your reasearch and good luck!!
  16. Welcome pathfinderjim. You are on the right track by starting to do your research. Finasteride and Minoxydil are the only two things that have ever been proven to stop the progression of hairloss and actually regrow hair. As far as vitamins go there really aren't any that do much. Users of Bitoin and MSM have reported faster growth of existing hair but no actual regrowth. So besides general health benefits, if any, vitamins don't seem to do much for hair loss sufferers. Good luck with your research.
  17. I have to say that this forum is not the place to allow personal injury lawyers to recruit people in order to make more money for themselves. We are all well aware of the potential side effects of Finasteride so I view this recruitment effort under the guise of a poll and a public service announcement to be distasteful and quite frankly laughable.
  18. Things are looking good and this could definitely be a stand alone result without a doubt in my mind as the result is very natural looking. I would say the "sweet spot" for you hair length is a bit shorter than you have it in your most recent pics. I bet if you cut it shorter, similiar to your before pictures, it would look much fuller. Anyway whatever you decide to do you're in a good position!! Good luck.
  19. This seems to be a good result however I wish that the OP would have cut his hair a similiar length to his before pics. It's a bit difficult to compare as I think the longer length gives better coverage, obviously, than the shorter length he had in the befores. Looks good though.
  20. I would wait at least a month or more as has been suggested. When you address the ball your head goes down and that would put a strain and/or stretch your scar. Same thing when you putt and bend down to place a tee or pick the ball up out of the hole...
  21. If you are in northern California you should just drive up to Vancouver and see Hasson & Wong.
