  1. I'm not sure I ever felt "bad" about the work. More so, I was terrified by this forum and the responses I received. I would never have thought anything negative of it had I not posted here. With that being said, I know you guys are only trying to help. But inevitably the work was done and I lost sleep over what I could not change, nor should I feel as though I needed to. The transplantation went as planned. The grafts already look much more noticeably smaller now 3 to 4 days post op that the scabs have resided around the edges. I will be happy with the growth of the 250 mfu's in the center and the subsequent 650 some singles surrounding and intermingled in the area. For the mean time that is exactly what I wanted. I have enough donor density to do whatever I shall please in the future. So when this current work reaches it's maturity I will return for a whole bunch of single, densely packed fu's throughout my entire dome. Until then I am going to go live my life. Best of luck to you guys. I will update in 3 or 4 months when I possibly have some growth coming in.
  2. According to his explanation to me, this is correct. He said during the consult "If you never plan on coming back again, I will do single fu's only". "If you are committed to coming back once or twice more, then we can do the combo method". I am committed to coming back at least once more. Eventually I will lose more then just the crown, so it is inevitable that I will need to have more work done either way. This was clearly explained during the consultation to me.
  3. Thanks for the reply to this. I am indeed still confident that the results will be as we both anticipated. I didn't have any intentions in this topic leading so astray and I apologize for that. I simply came on here to "show off" my new work and it was quickly written off as poorly done. I was made fully aware of the two options (single + mfu's vs. single fu's only) and chose the combo method based on the fact that I am planning on returning for more work as we discussed (and as I noted in previous posts). I'm still confident in that decision as well as choosing Dr. Beehner to do the work in the first place. I will promise to update this thread with pictures as my transplant progresses and I will be scheduling future procedures once my results are more clearly defined. I look forward to getting the rest of my hair done once this fills in. Thanks for your time with this Dr. Beehner, I thoroughly enjoyed your staff and the experience as a whole. I will be in touch.
  4. Unfortunately, that was what I was doing until I came to this board! Ever since then I've been freaking out.
  5. In a quick response to that because I am limited in time. Yes, as I had previously denoted in a few of my previous posts Dr. Beehner and I had discussed that I will need more work and this was not a one time deal. I agreed to have at least one more session done, possibly 2 more. I do believe I made that clear in more than one post. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the topic at hand here though. According to these few members the size of the Multi's in and alone, as well as the placement, are exaggerated and off course to begin with. This is what has me confused/concerned. I am not sure what to believe at this point. All I know is based on our original discussion this is what we planned. Multi fu's in the center surrounded by singles with at least one or two procedures left to complete. But then I come here with best intentions to simply tell my story and am told it looks like work from 30 years ago. I see 3 options. #1 We both decided on a course of action and that is the best option for me and it was performed successfully. #2 We both decided on a plan of action, and it was not the best plan in hindsight, although it was performed successfully. #3 Mistakes or laps of judgement occurred, which do happen, and will be remedied. After discussions with forum members, I no longer have an idea which one it is anymore.
  6. My problem with this is that we are criticizing a man who has dedicated his entire life to a profession and has no say in the current discussion. So I am glad you have notified him. With that being said, I'm not sure what to do. I have looked at myriads of post op photos and I agree with you guys, none look like mine. At the same time I do have faith in Dr. Beehner based on reviews, previous performance, the initial consultation, and the surgery itself. The whole thing was seamless and pain free. At this point if he agrees it is sub-par work, than that is fine with me. Everyone in the top of their field will make a mistake someday, and when they do, it is that much more well known by the community. What sets the best apart is the ability to recognize these mistakes and rectify the situation. Unfortunately though this is all revolving around the top of my head. Both literally and figuratively speaking. So I look forward to his input and if he agrees that it is not what he intended or the direction he should have gone then I am more then willing to work with him to make the situation right. I believe he has the insight and dedication to make the situation a positive one. In the mean time I need to relax and move on. This has consumed many days of my life.
  7. Mannn. I have too much going on right now to be worried this much about this. I don't know what to do. Okay. I guess we will just wait to hear.
  8. Sorry you're right I won't be editing any more previous posts. He placed the Multiple follicular units (255 of them to be exact) in the area you can see as well as more toward the front of my head into my existing hair. Behind and around these multiple follicular units he placed 673 single follicular units. These single units are what were placed toward the back, behind and around the multi's. It says exactly on my receipt... small multi-fu grafts (4-5 hairs each) 255 total. Follicular unit grafts (1-3 hairs each) 673 total. The pictures do not display the follicular unit (1-3 hairs each) grafts well. All I can see from a bystander perspective is the multi's which are the scabs. But i'm not sure if that is really a huge factor, as it seems you say the multi's themselves are odd too?
  9. Yes, Dr. Beehner did perform this surgery. I took out his name from the original post because I did not think the pictures were very representative of the work done. I do feel as though the new pictures I just posted are a fair representation of the work now though, so I was hoping to hear some better insight. This whole situation has me a bit perplexed. As in why you would say this is so alarming, when he would consider it fairly standard. Again, are the multiple FU's that "extra large?"
  10. I must agree, the grafts do look rather large. He said they were only 3 to 5 hairs per graft in the center, surrounded by the single fu's. Don't you think the single fu's surrounding the mfu's will throw variation in there, hence making the mfu's not "stick out"? And are those extra large for mfu's or do you think it is just the way the scabs have formed, it has only been a few days. I value your opinion. Either way I will have to wait and see. I find it hard to believe though he could not envision an ultimate result when placing these. He must have some grand scheme in mind when all grows in that possibly is not obvious by the picture of just the larger mfu scabs. Atleast it is all center mass and in the future I can have refined work done around the periphery and a hairline created if I eveer need to do so? Or are these mfu's in your opinion a death sentence for lack of better words.
  11. Wow this thread is a mess haha it is all over the place. I updated the original first post with some pictures and an update and details.
  12. I just spoke with him. He said the small white tissue look is normal after being saturated and the larger grafts placed in the mid scalp containing 4 to 5 hairs are all facing forward and will create nice density and look great. I'm a bit confused now.
  13. Okay I will contact him. What does not look right about it? I have asked and been told that the tissue turning white was normal due to absorbtion of water. I'm curious what exactly looks "incorrect" about it so I can research it and discuss it with him when I speak with him. Thanks
  14. Okay I took some better pictures. I don't believe those couple hour post op photos were representative of the situation. These appear to look better in my opinion. You may disagree. I am not well versed on this subject matter compared to some of you experts. I do however have confidence in the doc who performed the surgery so I am still not concerned. A large portion of transplants also went into an area more anteriorly (anatomically speaking toward the direction of my face) and these cannot be seen. The smaller grafts can be seen all over now. We did agree to do a few Multiple follicular unit grafts in the central portions of the mid scalp to get max density. I believe from the aerial view with my point and shoot, all that was visible were some of the larger multiple unit grafts which were still bleeding a little. These are snap shots from various points. Shows what is going on which is not visible in above picture. Tell me if these still look wierd to you. I just took a shower so all the little grafts are inflated.
  15. i just revceived a hari trainsplant primarily to the crown of the head. Is this what thes fu's are suppossed to look like? They look like they are just sitting on the scalp, and not lodged in. Or is there some superficial tissue that stays elevelated above the scalp, while the root is underneath? thanks. This is the crown of my head My head looks like something has gone terribly wrong to it.
