  1. Hariri/Joe, just curious as to whether Dr K used sutures or staples for Hariri's donor closure? I think that a pure strip revision without taking additional grafts(therefore minimizing the width and reducing chances of stretchback) was the best choice for Hariri. Would love to see pictures either publicly or privately. Hope you have been well Hariri
  2. Looks excellent EJ, the beard donor area, the growth in the scar tissue, everything. Happy for you man
  3. I think this result is excellent given the patient was a high norwood and only 2,167 grafts used. He still has more left in the reserve just in case. Wet before and afters make for a consistent comparison unlike other examples we have seen... Would love to see a 'dry' after photo. Keep up the great work Doctor Mwamba.
  4. I see this alot with unfortunate cases of patients that have have bad work done and severely depleted donors resorting to garantuan amounts of beard/body hair in the attempt to achieve a full head of hair(low hairline, closed temples, filled crown, basically a teenage hairline). From an external perspective(mine), I would have personally chosen to fill in the scar and even remove the old plugs/minigrafts/grafts and have just gone for a natural balding progression rather than to achieve the illusion of a head of hair. You can clearly see that prior to his operation with Umar, the transplanted hair on top(extracted via strip) was at least of a fine calibre and resembled natural scalp hair, whereas after the operation, the thick calibre beard grafts are quite noticeable to us. I personally would have chosen a short and clean back and sides look but this is from a perspective(again, mine) that is not in this patient's shoes. If this procedure has given this individual's confidence in his image back, then I feel that outweighs the negatives that we perceive. Let us not forget that most(all?) males seeking surgical hair restoration have issues with their image, enough to actually go through with surgical hair restoration, where others simply could not care less if they become a norwood 5/6/7. This is not a knock on Dr Umar who I greatly respect. Clearly you can see that even with several thousand beard grafts extracted from the beard area, the donor area is left relatively immaculate, the extraction patterns cleverly chosen and punch scars are inconsequential in this case.
  5. I think at 5 weeks in it is far too early to give a final analysis. It most likely is severe temporary shockloss that will come back. Give it 5 to 6 months.
  6. Wow... Probably the best scar revision result I have seen documented. The patient must be absolutely over the moon with the result and much thinner scar.
  7. Scarring with any hair transplant is basically guaranteed but to simply throw a blanket statement out like that as a means to discard all other glaring flaws in their protocol is completely erroneous due to: 1) the majority of the grafts being extracted from areas well outside the Dihydrotestosterone-resistant zone which is completely withing the hands of the clinic. 2) for 1,300 grafts I think the majority of people here would consider the scarring present to be disproportionate to the amount of grafts in a negative way sadly. Either due to using large diameter needles and/or removing grafts within very close proximity of eachother. From what I can gather the grafts were taken from that area because this was purely a hairline case so they target the finer calibre grafts towards the bottom of the donor area because they closer resemble hairline hairs. However this area is not DHT-resistant and I feel they should have not gone ahead with the operation. Just my opinion.
  8. This is very alarming.... I will await for Dr Hakan(or his clinic) to reply but I feel his recommendation should be looked over again if these are not isolated incidents... Very rarely have I heard of patients talking about their surgeon with such disdain, that speaks volumes to me.
  9. David my friend, with all due respect, the physical scarring is not the only issue at present here. The grafts were harvested WAY too low, most of them were harvested from outside the DHT-resistent zone which means there is a much higher chance those implanted grafts will miniaturize and become virtually non-existent in time. The over harvesting of an isolated area when there was an abundance of(safer) grafts elsewhere is perplexing and against the basic fundamentals of FUE and hair transplantation in general. Johnny, I really feel for you man. I know you might not be able to help feeling down as I too had scar issues(with strip) and was depressed for some time. You have options and avenues you can take in order to remedy this but in the meantime grow you hair out longer and STOP looking at the back please. It will cause you nothing but heartache. I'm sure at a grade 3 it won't be noticeable. I can't even cut my hair shorter than a grade 5/6 without signs of surgical intervention. You still have alot of grafts left that you can use so there is still hope.
  10. This is the work of Dr Doganay??? What is this? It is completely unacceptable and egregious to harvest that low and to leave the the safer grafts in the mid-region predominantly untouched. This case begs for Doganay's work and protocol to be inspected. This is shocking.
  11. The work looks insanely prestine. Looking at your immediate post-operative photos the suturing work, recipient, donor closure and cleanliness look great. Reminds me of Konior/Gabel's level of perfection. Keen to see how this turns out.
  12. Wow, can definitely see the entire region filling in.
  13. Both put out incredible results and I consider both to be top tier FUE physicians. One thing I will mention is that my personal experience with Dr Feriduni was that he is a lovely human being. I had a 30 minute Skype consultation with the good Doctor and he was sympathetic, comforting, detailed, personable and humble. He answered a plethora of questions in detail. Certainly a doctor you want in your corner. At no time before, during or after the consult was a pressured into putting down a deposit or booking a procedure date by Dr Feriduni or anyone from his clinic. I like Dr Feriduni alot. I have never had a one on one consult with Dr Erdogan(would love to) so I cant speak from personal experience about him, but Dr Feriduni really stunned me.
  14. Very dramatic improvement Pepe, and still early in the process. You deserve this excellent result. Really happy for you.
  15. Congratulations Stinger. I have said this many times before but Bisanga is the man. All the experiences and encounters relayed to me via patients of his continually astounded me in terms of the man's ethics and honesty. Where some other surgeons may have complied with a patients request for a low hairline, scar revision or unrealistic expectation, Bisanga always put his foot down and said "no, this is not a good idea". You chose one of the best in terms of technical ability and quite possibly the best in terms of ethics. My own experience with SL echoed the sentiments given to me via Bisanga's patients. Never a push for a procedure/deposit/booking and just straight up honesty with very prompt and detailed replies. Please do keep us updated and as always message me at anytime
  16. Great to see Dr De Reys posting results on here for potential recommendation. I look forward to viewing them.
  17. Lorenzo's partnership with Farjo came to an end circa August if I recall correctly. He did seem quite adament to me that he would be returning to post results on the forum in the future but currently is catching up with Spanish patients who were waiting on him whilst he was in the UK. I am confident he will come back to this forum eventually
