  1. Good choice in surgeon. I would ask him to put a bit in there so it doesn't bother you after you've had your operation. By doing that, it can delay you from going for a second operation if you just have some grafts put in the mid scalp/top of crown the first time round. I would. As for that person at work- don't take it too much to heart. I used to get comments all the time & still did recently. "Nice combover", "you're going bald hahahaha", "you need a hair transplant", "you're thinning". Just some comments that have been thrown at me over the years. Stay strong Hope you have a good result & keep us posted for sure.
  2. I saw that. He's been going bald for a while that's for sure. Even in the advert it looks thin & receding. At least he's been working out & surrounded by chicks.
  3. Ask the doctor for more grafts if this is what you prefer. I would've said 3.5-4k as it seems like a relatively large area to deal with. The doctor will have his reasons. Depends on your age, whether you're on meds & your laxity as well as your good density. Good luck!
  4. Very age appropriate result, looks 5-10 younger. With the tan & new trendy glasses he looks good.
  5. Nice result without a doubt but you need to start showing the donor area & the scalp immediately after procedure. It would be helpful to see these.
  6. Hello. Could be seasonal shedding. I'd avoid using Nizoral as it's harsh on the hair & skin or at the very least use it once a week, not use it as a main shampoo! MSM & saw palmetto may help.
  7. Original scar was terrible. What a hairline, brilliant work. Can't wait for my turn one day!
  8. Moderators can you please at least remove that ridiculous post by that joker? Offending & hatred is high on his agenda. Ignorant. One minute it was a topic about hairloss & the next minute he turns it into a political circus. It's a hairloss website you clown. Stop being so touchy!
  9. That's fine to apply gentle pressure with fingers but not with nails. Vitamin e oil helps once or twice a day.
  10. I can't see how it's a DHT blocker or reduces it in anyway. Use it to reduce dandruff but not now since you're only 2 months out. I would only use it once a week at the most if I were you, harsh ingredients. I don't even touch it.
  11. All normal & nothing to panic or worry about. I started shedding by 10 days. Shock loss so early on is also normal & can occur. You have to look worse to look better I guess.
  12. Don't panic. These are transplanted hairs you are referring to, so they will come back. It's normal for some to fall out & grow out again in time. 6 months post op means there's no element of losing them now. It's only the first 10 days when they're not anchored properly as yet. Just enjoy the growth phase.
  13. Yeah Bonker it's been quite bad especially the sides initially. The top I don't mind it thin now as that's what people are used to seeing me like anyhow & I'm used to it. I'll try updating every couple of months as not much going on now. Then want to do FUE in Europe I think. Your fun time is starting then! Is the hair coming along yet?
  14. Hello, if you can't find anything or much, what does that tell you? If he was high profile as you put it, you'd find successful cases & plenty of evidence. So many talk the talk until they get you under the knife. Some research needs to be done. If it was me I'd go abroad. You can still have consultations via email or Skype with plenty of quality surgeons.
  15. No problem at all. I haven't yet, I won't rule it out but I doubt I'll ever do it. My plan has always been to try to hold onto what I have with some meds but definitely have at least two operations & then try to live happily ever after. Or at least that's the fantasy Think I'll have FUE one day & that'll be it. The hairloss was so aggressive, I didn't know where to start from to try to bring back the youth. If I were you I would email a few clinics asking about SMP to see what they suggest & also what they quote for you.
  16. Hello, not sure where you went but glad you've realised you have to do research & you didn't fall for any of the crap. A few years ago I went to the Belgravia Centre with a good friend of mine & there were plenty of poor souls in reception. We just got told we'd be supplied with Propecia & Minoxidil. The price was silly & they wouldn't say how a transplant would be done or who the surgeon would be. Went to another place behind Oxford Street & again it was an amateur place and the gentleman there just wanted to sell us mino & two thousand grafts. For my previous hairloss anything less than 3k grafts & I would've come out still looking bald. You need to do a lot of research before you commit- we have a few surgeons of top quality in Belgium & a few in Turkey. So there's no excuse now to be shafted by a butcher here. Be careful & educate yourself as you are doing on good sites such as this.
  17. Think most people would agree that a receding hairline or no hairline is worse than an empty crown. The front frames your face & what people see when they speak to you. Out of sight is almost out of mind.
  18. Most of the horror stories occur in the UK if you go to an amateur or a butcher. It's worth travelling once or twice in a lifetime to save yourself. Belgium & Turkey aren't far & cheaper than the UK prices anyhow. Think about it. Drs. Bisanga, Feriduni, Devroye, Erdogan, Hakan, Demisroy & Maral. Research those for a start.
  19. Hello, do you think you've seen any improvement? I think it would be a waste of time. If you're not on meds or not having a transplant then I can't seen how you would slow down the loss or regain any hair back.
  20. Mel Gibson springs to mind. Can't have a crystal ball to predict how far it'll go. Meds can help depending on how aggressive the pattern is. A family friend moved from a Norwood 2 to at least a Norwood 5a in less than 5 years.
  21. Honestly I don't think you should be playing a contact sport like rugby so early on if you've had FUT? You're bound to get a smack or two or stretch the scar with intense workouts. You should be taking it easy.
  22. Yeah its like $360, way too much. Either order it online or visit the pharmacy as they need to ask you some questions before prescribing it. At least then you're buying Propecia. Plus you can have a tiny dosage just to see how you get on by splitting 1mg into quarters as opposed to 5mg into quarters or eight pieces. I buy 12 months supply.
  23. You have to be careful what to buy- I used to use one that I bought online & it used to make my scalp pink. I know someone that used to apply the same stuff & as it used to trickle on his forehead a little, which caused a few bumps. Look like spots, which only appeared after he used mino. I found the rogaine foam less harsh & no redness when applied. In the end I gave up on it & just had a transplant.
  24. Pics 1-3 is how things are looking today. Scar is hidden. No redness. Pics 4-7 show before the FIRST operation & one day post FIRST op. Wanted to give you an idea of how it was in 2011. Pic 8 shows how the hair looked under harsh sunlight in August 2013 in Barcelona.
