  1. That's what I was thinking too- you'll get over it soon. I remember a few years ago there was a dude on here who was in distress about not having any growth by month 5. He had a Norwood 6 pattern loss but wasn't all completely bald in the area. He definitely had growth & that was even more visible by month 7. He refused to accept that he had to be patient! He just had to be shown two comparison pictures of before the op and at 7 months post op. Yes use baby shampoo once a day. The itching is very normal, you just have to keep calm & get on with it. Just try to stop thinking about it & stay away from the mirror for now. My head itches too but that's normal. It'll itch for months to come but things keep getting better!
  2. This is the ugly duckling phase- the hair should look good in a year. Yes you appear to have dense hair behind the hairline but doesn't mean the hairline will be all thin & weak. You're just going through shedding & shock loss & it looks worse before it looks good. Ride it out, we all have to. You wanted 3k grafts put in the hairline? Surgeon told you no 1700 is enough? That shows he has morals & he's ethical as 3k in the hairline is pretty crazy in case you have a lot of hairloss further back in years to come. You have to have reserves. Don't worry about work too much, I panicked after my first op but it wasn't bad. You'll think the whole planet is staring at you under a spot light but that's simply isn't true!
  3. Three chicks from the past had a boob job. That didn't bother me in the slightest. Two of them spoke about it but one didn't. It's not big deal I don't think.
  4. Thanks very much. The clinic location & view out of the windows are relaxing & that could help any nervous souls. I actually loved Vancouver this time around, more than last time. That was because I discovered more places to visit & eat in. I'm at 3 weeks now with op 2, shedding is very light. The worse of it in my experience is between day 10 and 20 post op. But didn't shed much anyhow. Went out without a cap yesterday, just used a pencil to cover the shock loss around the scar.
  5. Honestly you need to relax- this is not good at all. Sounds like you're stressing out a lot. Trauma is not good at all, let it heal & grow in its own time. Don't panic! Who cares about people at work, you shouldn't do. I turned up with a scar & shock loss but people were amazed not mocking me. Even if they joked, just laugh it off. Consider this if you want: If you have gaps on the sides of the head, use nanogen pencil to cover it up. You can find that in the chemist. On top, you can use nanogen powder & spray it with the spray they sell with it to hold the fibre in place or use hair spray. It's okay to use those after a couple of weeks post surgery I'm told. Just wash them out each night of course.
  6. Cheers Bonker, he does love dense packing so it looks natural & not see through. I have a number 3 all over at the moment & it doesn't look too bad. Apart from the shock loss on the sides.
  7. Excellent result, nice hairline. I know the video shows some crown action, but do you have before & after pics of the crown pls?
  8. I agree with you- I value hair more now when I'm young. Ten years ago it meant more to me and in 10 years time it might mean less to me than it does now. I want to enjoy it when I'm reasonably young. Of course you try to plan for the future & keep some reserves but can't predict what will happen & how low the crown will drop. A balance on things is important, so can't be using a lot of grafts without reaching an advanced balding level & at the same can't keep waiting for years to come.
  9. Consult with the doctor as other have adviced. He or she may tell you to lower the dose. A quarter of a tablet a day or every other day may be a good start to ease into it.
  10. This is not a great result. So he needs to get to 8k grafts for it to have density? Having it cut short doesn't help much. He may not have another 3k in the tank. Yes there was significant hairloss pre-ops but after 5k you'd expect to see a lot more. If you decide to go for a third op, consider other options. Can't be risking what's left of your precious donor.
  11. A higher hairline and dense packing is usually the norm, but ride it out and see how it looks past 10 months. Still early days & no need to panic just yet. Shedding and thin hair is normal in the first few months. Then the fun begins.
  12. Afternoon, haven't updated this in a long time. Please see the link page for 1 year post op and also 2.5 years updates. Hair Restoration Site for Dutch
  13. Oh wow what a surprise, was wondering why you'd have both surgeons. You're a lucky man. I've almost ran out of donor already from strip so doubt it's worth doing it again for like a thousand grafts or whatever. Funnily enough Dr Hasson praised Dr Lorenzo too & Dr Koray in Turkey. That's a huge compliment to both of those surgeons when Drs Hasson & Wong recommend you. I do like their work even though I haven't really researched them since I've been away from here for so long. Like Dr Bisanga too. Can't believe in the couple of years I've been out of action, now I find a few more good men in Europe. I'm going to get greedy & would like to lower the line one day if it's at all possible.
  14. Once an ex treacle of mine asked me if I had a HT- I told her the truth straight away. I asked her if she'd been looking at my old FaceBook photos & she said yeah. Then she told me her dad had a HT. The difference is you can tell her dad has had it done. On another occasion, she noticed black powder on one of her pillows! I was so embarrassed as that was the nanogen rubbing off from my crown. She said is that you, so I had to say it must be her make up or dirt from the ceiling. I quickly rubbed it of the pillow. Awkward.
  15. Bonker! How's it going?? Thought about you only a few days ago! You're absolutely right, I moved on & was lazy to update but will get round to putting photos from op one from every day life & in the outdoors. Wait, you had another op with doctor Hasson & then with Dr. Wong?? Can't believe you've had 11k grafts, wow. Congrats, you hair looks quality from those last photos! FUE might be my next adventure- don't have a clue who'd I'd go to. But definitely Europe or Turkey. Not travelling so far again.
  16. That's true, you feel relieved you finally done something about it. This time round I'm not worried about growth as I know it'll come in time. I'm actually back in London now on the way home. Sad to have left Vancouver actually, very fond memories & I'll definitely put some photos to give something back because of good people that were the reason that helped me.
  17. Thanks David, it's been a long time coming. Glad I've done them now, a truly life changing experience.
  18. 1800 grafts should do it but the clinic would give you the best estimate
  19. Hello. FUE surgeons in Europe such as Drs Bisanga, Lorenzo, Feriduni, Devroye, Koray, Hakan. Personally I'll want FUE in the future too & wouldn't travel outside Europe for that. I'll end up choosing one of the mentioned surgeons above. You'll need at least 2 weeks off if not longer.
  20. Breathtaking result. Very thick hairs, indeed he's lucky. Great job.
  21. How many grafts is the surgeon aiming for? Do scalp exercises. Wish you the best of luck. Take propecia if you can & enjoy your day! Keep us posted.
  22. Hello David, thanks for the message. I fly out back to merry old London tomorrow evening. It's been a long 17 nights but worth it. Today I had the staples removed. What a relief! The weather the last few days has been good Tbh the build up to the op this time around was more difficult as I knew what I'll be going through: the flight, the waiting for the op, the sleepless nights & the staples digging in my head. The operation itself & recovery was easier this time around though. Went in at 11am on the Wednesday morning & the operation began at midday, I had already had a chat with the doctor the day before. By 6:30pm I was all done. The first night wasn't too bad. About 5 hours sleep. First time around I didn't even get 2 hours sleep. Everyone was very nice. The girls were very caring. Building up the courage & finally booking an operation for the first time is a very difficult thing. A lot of people may research for years but fear that day. The pain of looking older than your years & being mocked is what should drive you forward to take the plunge. At least that was my motivation. I actually looked 35 when I was 25 & it affects you so much & you feel unattractive & down. I'm done with strip HTs now but in the future I may go for FUE- who knows.
  23. The bags of cash eased his pain. Ramsey's shaved area looks very odd. Too low & just the wrong area from what we can see. Not sure what happened there.
  24. Ramsey might've gone to a clown. Celebs tend to avoid most of the world class surgeons as obviously they probably don't do any research. Think Becks had already done something to be honest. His hair looks better now than from a couple of years ago from the looks of it unless it's styling & concealer. He's too vain & relies too much on his looks to walk around with a bald patch or a receding line. It's all about his image!
  25. Some very experienced surgeons you've picked there. Dr Hasson is the mega sessions king in my opinion. The other two gents are very talented too & we'll respected. I too live in London, distance was not a deciding factor for me. Seems that FUT might be your better option. Don't think you'd go wrong with any of these surgeons. Travel is a pain but you'd only do it a couple of times in a lifetime for HTs hopefully. For the future I'll end up considering Belgium or Turkey for FUE as these locations for have HTs come a huge way since I was regularly on this forum a couple of years ago & you may too, who knows. See what they all recommend to you & then make your final decision. Wish you the best of luck.
