  1. Some aren't recommended on here but this site among other decent sites give you an indication of what you should expect from top surgeons. You see their patients results, real life stories & you read some good info. I was like you too & wanted to see patients but couldn't. I still boarded that plane, I felt immediately at ease as soon as I met the surgeon & his staff. But that's not enough if you haven't seen results online. Here you get plenty of patient photos & videos. Make the most of them!
  2. Hello. I'd stay away pal. Many years ago in my teens I got mugged off badly for paying for what was probably mino & some pathetic tablets for hair loss apparently. It wasn't even propecia. I didn't educate myself at all! What an idiot I was. Luckily it wasn't an operation where I would've regretted it so much! Point being is do your research. I'm from London & had to travel far to get a transplant. So don't just stick to the UK. You have options in Belgium, Turkey & the Americas too. For my next transplant I'm likely to go to Belgium- it's a train ride away for us! If you need any help or have questions, pls ask.
  3. Hello. British Colombia is about 4 hours drive from Seattle where you'd find Hasson & Wong in Vancouver. Quite a few quality surgeons in the US & Canada. Prices on their websites. Do some thorough research. Full list of the best hair transplant surgeons
  4. Started a new thread? Happy for you, looks excellent.
  5. You chose wisely, keep us posted, I'd like to see how you get on. Very clean work indeed. When you end up unhappy or dissatisfied, you need to face your fears & return to have things fixed.
  6. If you're referring to the actual scalp, then propecia can help and some nanogen but this should only be used a few weeks post surgery & be confirmed by your surgeon that it's okay. Maybe even toppik or derm but I've never used them so can't comment. If you're referring to the sides & back of the head where the scar will be, then you can use the nanogen pencil like I do each morning to conceal the shock loss I currently have. Without it there is a big patch of hair missing that you can easily see.
  7. June? You still have plenty of time. Then hair maturity after the year mark.
  8. I would've thought lighter hair on light skin would make it look better & thicker. There would be more of a contrast between the hair & skin.
  9. Consider using propecia in a small dose. Mino foam is easier to apply than the liquid form.
  10. That's crazy! 1-1.5k a day over two days sounds reasonable. Think some ppl are getting ahead of themselves. Only 3 years ago a FUE session over two days for 3k grafts was a small miracle. I realise technology & experience have come further but at this rate, soon we'll be saying 5k FUE in one session is achievable! Fatigue would kick in massively. My first op took 10 hours & that's was FUT. Do what's safe & realistic. You don't want the grafts to be put in danger of dying.
  11. That will look awesome in a few months time, you won't have any regrets- he's changed a lot of people's lives for the better, he's a magician.
  12. I would want to frame my face by rebuilding the front as others have suggested to you. Be prepared that you're heading to a Norwood 7 from the looks of it. The crown does bother & of course it needs to be addressed at a later stage. It certainly bothers me when I touch it and see it in a side mirror or on a security camera on a bus. Rogaine foam & propecia in a small doze can certainly help. It's better to take some meds than nothing.
  13. I was adviced to avoid the hot sun for 6 months. Sounds excessive but better safe than sorry? I'd use spray sun tan lotion to get some protection.
  14. Good luck with that, keep us posted! One is three times more costly than the other. But then the travel costs are much more. Can turn it into a little holiday though! As for their ability you've done your home work. How many grafts they're aiming for?
  15. When you go to reply, there is a notification type box below the field where you're typing. It gives you options to get notifications instantly or daily or once a week or none. Have a look below.
  16. Hello, still a bit thin from what I can see. If you can try to take photos without flash? Yeah still a bit pink when it should have healed fully by now.
  17. Nice work. Very natural. Question please- Is Dr Lorenzo operating in Manchester for now and not Madrid?
  18. Hello, you seem to have done your home work well so get some of those names up. I'm coming up to 1 month post op & I can tell you that everyone is different- my scalp is not pink in any way but I I have a lot of shock loss. So bear that in mind when considering strip. You get past that by using a nanogen pencil which works well for me. A lot of people talk about FUE with a lot of praise but they forget one important thing and that's the yield success which you mention in your post. FUT should give you more grafts that grow having looked at the two myself. What's impressive in the last couple of years is FUE has come a long way in terms of the grafts count that can be extracted over a day or two. A few years ago 3k FUE grafts was a small miracle, now more & more clinics seem to extract this high number. FUE is a somewhat cheaper now than it was a couple of years ago I think. But in Europe it is still very expensive. 5-6 Euros a graft. In the UK it's like 5-6 GBP! In Turkey it's 2-3 Euros. But you want the best not the cheapest. What's your hair loss like? Personally I would use up all the strip I can then go to FUE in years to come if need be. Leave some for the future when you may well need them!
  19. That's one excellent list of surgeons you've been given above. I agree with that too. For Dr Lorenzo it's 6 GBP a graft for FUE having looked last night- that's not cheap but he gets a lot of positive comments plus minimal travel costs involved so I'll be tempted in the future. I don't think I can get myself over to Turkey for surgery. Like Dr Feriduni's work too- also in Belgium like Dr Bisanga. Avoid that other clinic in the UK! You could regret it for years to come!
  20. That's true, Dr Hasson's techs are very capable & have all been with him for years. A lot of them are nurses. The surgeon wouldn't be able to sit there & do the implanting for hours though. Just the strip extraction in my case took an hour plus then the doctor spent another hour if not longer just to make the holes for my second op. Most days they only do 1 operation per day. I agree that there shouldn't be too many operations in the same day as quality would drop dramatically! Would like to see more results from Dr Doganay, hope he reads this & his reps start posting more results to put some at ease. Answering the phone in the operating room is terrible when absolute concentration is meant to be paid.
  21. Looking good David, now the fun starts. At this early stage the hair is still wavy & wispy I found but very early days. How long is this SMP meant to last before a top up is required do you think?
