  1. That's expensive, even in the UK. Especially online. In the US its probably a fraction of the price. Anyway, I buy it from Boots. 3 months supply is GBP90 and for 6 months supply its GBP180 and for 12 months supply its GBP360. That's pick up in the store. Half them or split them into quarters first to see how you get on.
  2. Good luck pal. It'll be the best thing you've ever done hopefully! If you have an iPad, laptop, kindle etc, take it with you as it'll come handy if you're up at night like I was. Maybe wear gloves if you like to scratch, I found them essential mainly due to paranoia. Keep us posted & all the best!
  3. You should be on commission Can't decide, I just ordered that off Amazon. Not that I need it just yet! Usually I use Shockwaves Go Matt Clay when the hair is short. VO5 firm hold styling gel and L'Oreal Satin extra strength hair spray when hair is 2-3 inches long.
  4. Hello. Look at the surgeons listed here for Turkey. Personally I would go with Dr. Koray Erdogan if I had to choose one as I like his work. Are you on meds. I know it's important for you as money can be a deciding factor but think about it. Hair Transplant Clinics in Turkey
  5. It's normal hair that you can comb & style how you like, just less of what you originally had in terms of density.
  6. Thanks for the detailed review & the honesty describing your experience. I agree with you that the hairline seems aggressive for your pattern of hair loss & I too would have preferred to have some grafts in the crown or at least a say so in the matter. But look, if the hair comes out nicely then that's wonderful! Reminds me of a Rahal hairline shape. That's a colossal amount of grafts implanted in one day. Never heard of that many in one day before via FUE. It's standard practice that most surgeons let their techs implant the grafts & not do it themselves? Unless you were promised otherwise. Hopefully this grows out really nice for you so you would then be able to address the vertex & crown! Keep us posted!
  7. Apparently so. It's like a case from the 80s, can't be more than 1k grafts that survived. If you're going to go into stealth mode, at least do it permanently. Not go silent for a year then copy & paste in different posts. If these are the good results, what do the lesser results look like? Blake had asked for post op photos but guess what? No reply.
  8. A doctor once told me to avoid using Head & Shoulders as it's too strong & can cause hair loss as it's harsh on the hair. Not sure if there's an element of truth in that but I never used it.
  9. To answer your question, no. With 5k you would end up with a lot and I believe so will this gentleman. Don't forget that this gentleman here is only 6 months post op & things have been somewhat a little slow for him but it should improve dramatically. Look at my first op to give you an idea, done by the same surgeon.
  10. Yes you could using Dandrazol 2% which has the ingredient Ketoconazole. I read Nizoral can cause hair shedding or even loss, which also has the same ingredient Ket. Could be incorrect but infrequent use might be the way.
  11. Difficult to say, may be able to conceal it but like Spanker rightly said, it's a large area that needs to be shaved for FUE. Just sent you a message too
  12. Hello Sam, No I think you need to do a lot of research. Take this as a positive note if you will, and having found this forum it will be a great place for you to do exactly that & research. $10 a graft from top surgeons? No I don't think so. Even for FUE nowadays you're looking at 2-3 euros a graft. Especially in Turkey or Asia. Maybe even 5 or 6 euros for the rest of the world but that's still not $10. Honestly, 300ish grafts will not make any significant difference if you have thinning in the mid scalp or a receding hairline. If you having noticeable thinning you might realise that you'll need a thousand or two thousand grafts, perhaps a lot more. Yes, photos will help people giving advice or guidance.
  13. Hello http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/Consult-a-Physician/adv-search-results.asp?StateAbr=NY&Search=Search Haven't done FUE as yet so couldn't tell you but you get small white dots which are the small scars left from the extraction. As for FUT there is a scar which isn't visible if you don't cut your sides too short. Also needs to be done properly by a skilled surgeon. I cut my hair usually to a number 3 & can't see it. Then cut the bottom & side burns to a number 1 or a 2.
  14. Congrats Jimbo. Certainly isn't cheap but if you want quality you have to pay for it & this is what you got hopefully. Looking forward to seeing the final result. Good luck with the growth.
  15. It's ridiculous. I'm quite angry about this poor result & it's not even mine! Having looked at the other pathetic results, it baffles me how this surgeon is recommended on here. This website's integrity & reputation gets tarnished with poor sub par results like this. How comes so many doctors are recommended or are part of the coalition when only the best of the best should be listed here? How many surgeons are listed? 60? So anyone that produces a handful of results & hands over $10k membership fee per year is okay to be recommended. No doubt I'll get a patronising reply. Don't go back for another operation there even if you get a refund. It pains me to see this sort of thing on a good informative website.
  16. Some of the grafts should shed but not necessarily all of it. You sure you didn't shed grafts? Any pics? Have you contacted whomever the surgeon is?
  17. Lol I waited 4 months. Counted down the weeks. There was no turning back after booking the flights & hotel.
  18. I'm going to tell you what most people will tell you- do your research. A lot of it. When you're done researching, do a bit more. Any pictures & are you on meds? I would definitely avoid Harley Street. I'd take Turkey over Harley Street any time. We have plenty of options in Europe now, even more than a few years ago.
  19. Hello. I like Dr. Lindsey for these types of transplants. Drs. Lorenzo & Feriduni do cases like this & they look good. Do some searches on this site.
  20. I've had two transplants so far & I'm on propecia but not on mino. I'm an advanced Norwood & was so at a very young age so knew where I was heading in terms of the loss. I'm likely to advance even further with age. So I'd recommend at least trying a tiny dosage to see how you get on, maybe a quarter daily or even every other day. If you're not interested then yes SMP can be an option after thorough research.
  21. People want to encourage each other. It'll come, no need to stress the man out. You can see a difference already on a large area of what looks like a Norwood 5 maybe even more & it's still very early days. Happy growing pal
  22. Very nice result. With another 700ish grafts in the crown & this gentleman would've forgot about hair transplants for years to come. Excellent.
  23. Don't be disappointed or concerned, still early days. Another 2-3 months & you should see some significant change. It's a large area covered but should still look much better. Keep it up with the supplements, might help with growth speed.
