  1. ^ I agree with this 100%. There is no 'best' doctor. Whats best for you/your expecation may differ from mine and everyhone elses. Good research is the only tool you need. Fortunately for us, there's a wealth of information out there to help us
  2. Thats true, but she questioned whether his FUT work matches his FUE and I think that thread gives some idication
  3. I'd say he's the opposite and more of a FUT doctor than a FUE. Look through this old thread, it will probably be helpful http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/167825-dr-rahal-results-collection.html
  4. Looks fine. Its the center part of the natural 'swirl' on the back of your head. You'll keep looking and you'll keep driving yourself nuts, but it's deff not hair loss at this point.
  5. Covered in post I'd say yes you do need it. Your hair looks like its manageable under perfect settings ( no wind, no rain, no extreme light, and nothing that would cause it to move). You'd be surprised how much 3500 grafts would do for you. I don't think you'd regret it.
  6. Again with the monthly 'I'm not happy with my transplant results'.. Urealistic expecations in IMO. You've got to remember, a transtplant is a bit of an illusion and isn't meant to match mother nature. Also, you've probably compared your area by how many grafts you've gotten vs pics of others who've had a larger area with same/less or grafts and automatically epected yours to be better. if so, it's a huge mistake. Good luck with whatever direction you go with from here.
  7. I gave you advice last time you posted growth questions and I'll quote it. 'There's general timelines that we can follow, but reality says everyone grows at their own pace. You have plenty of months ahead for things to happen.' Hair growth goes through phases. You're about half way to your final result. Patience is a virtue.
  8. They say the transplanted hair is safe after a couple weeks. You can cut it however you want at that point
  9. The question in the thread below?? http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/183686-michael-vories-md-fue-1500-grafts.html#post2473700
  10. without pics, it's hard to assess anything. I would say you're not suitable under most circumstances
  11. after 10 days they're safe. SHedding usually happens between 2 and 4 weeks.. Hair transplantation is a surgery, not a science so no two people have the same exact process. If you've recently had a surgery and are concerned about early shedding, try and forget about it. Worrying will only drive you crazy. If its been less than 10 days, you may have disloged a graft(s)
  12. Honestly, communication is deff something the clinic needs to work on.. He's booked a couple months out, but there's always spots that pop up. I think you'd be fine with the timeline you've outlined
  13. If you have a history of hairloss in your family, there might be some cause for concern and should be monitored over the years. If it seems to get worse, get on meds. Right now it fine and I'd forget about it
  14. use sea salt spray after you shower. Spray on and blow dry. It adds texture and volume. Use it in conjunction with your regular hair product.
  15. Rashid- I see no harm in trying it, especially if your options are limited. It's said to promote growth in the crown, so that could be a huge bonus for you. If you experience sides, just discontinue use. The percentage of individual who experience them is relatively low, and I'd image those that have sides after they've discontinued use to be even lower. You should PM spex to find out where he gets his FIN from, I'm sure he'd be able to point you to the most affordable option.
  16. Part of what you're doing is a mistake a lot of guys make. They expect a certain result based on someone elses picture who had similar loss. Every result is individual, every growth timeline is individual. Not to mention hair characteristics are individual. The main thing is to try and forget about it for awhile and let things happen organically. Watching it non-stop is only gonna make you go crazy and by doing so, it will hard to recognize any change. Hair growth is a -s-l-o-w- process.
  17. Don't forget where you started. You had a lot of area to cover for the amount of grafts that have been moved The before and both the after pics show a decent improvement. You have almost a year left before you see your final result. The waiting game is awful, but month by month it will improve.
  18. I meant just the area where the transplanted hair will go, not the whole head. Dr. K is very well regarded within the community. If he feels confident doing it with or without shaving, I'd trust him. There's are more risks to consider though. Here's a link from Dr. Rahal and Dr. Alexander on the topic Do You Offer a No Shave FUE Hair Transplant? | Dr. Rahal Hair Transplants: To Shave or Not to Shave? | Hair Loss Q & A I answered the original question yesterday, but I have something else to add. My reply didn't consider skin tone or hair color. If you have light hair with fair skin, the recipient area may be more obvious. Anyway, hope this info helps.
  19. 7 days should be enough time for the donor to look 'normal' enough to return to work. Honstly, I'd be more concerned with hiding the front. Have you decided on a Doctor? Most requre a complete shave down of donor and recipient area
  20. ^^^ could be the lighting.. Result looks very nice, I bet you're thrilled
  21. Its nice to see documented case by a patient and not Dr. Erdogan. He has a ton of results, but only a handful of user posted results. Happy growing, man!
  22. I promise, I'm not trying to pick at you ( I replied to your quote in a another thread)... but.. are you crazy? Even @ 20k it's a discount. Dr. Rahal charges 8 bucks a graft FUE and this guy had 5000k grafts moved.
  23. Let's be real, it's customary to be positive and encouraging throughout the ordeal. I remember Dr. Hasson telling me that not another doctor could pack the grafts in any tighter and that what's been done will fix me up no problem. @ matt1164 - Just be optimistic. What's done is done and there's no going back now. Also, theres a guy participating int his thread that had a great result from Dr. Diep. Usually its the people with complaints that will make themselves loud and clear.
  24. There's general timelines that we can follow, but reality says everyone grows at their own pace. You have plenty of months ahead for things to happen. I saw your your post/pics from last month when you had these concerns. I'm surprised so many grafts were stuck in such a small area. That said, I'm sure it will be a home run.
