  1. Again, this is no attempt to knock your transplant. Seriously though, you cannot say that these give an honest assessment of your results. These are avatar sized photos. Photos below are directly linked from your album
  2. Lighting can have a huge impact on the illusion of hair (or lack thereof). It would be nice to see some clear, normal sized pictures in a natural setting. Your pics are very small or with odd lighting. I'm a transplant patient so I know the effect lighting has on hair. I'm not at all knocking your transplant but I've realized after having my own that many guys want to hear the positive reaction from others so they aren't completely honest with results ( not saying this is your intention, just asking for some better pics, thats all)
  3. agreed that pics would be nice. Looked through your album and all those pics are very deceptive as to actual results ( small pics or unnatural lighting.) Almost 8k Grafts with Dr Rahal, I'm sure you'll be looking great at the one year mark.
  4. Pics are not the greatest to give an honest assessment. I agree to wait either way though. 22 is a VERY young age to take that plunge. The contrast between skin color and hair is not that drastic and with proper styling you should be able to conceal the loss pretty well based on the photos. I'd get on propecia (fin) like suggest and hang out a bit longer.
  5. Im the first poster and I wish I hadn't posted. HORRIBLE attitude for someone asking for assistance. This literally took 1 minute and there are 1500+ other members that have posted their photos. and since you apparently need someone to hold your hand, on the left hand side of the profiles where it says the number of photos, click that and it will take you to their albums. 6. This is all I have at the moment. Immediately post op then my 1 and 1.5 post op pic.. Pre op self photo and current
  7. I agree. i think the left side sorta dips off heres a quote from what my write up on my review of him immediately post op. That same spot is still not right in my opinion
  8. I was answering some questions and posted a bunch of pictures for a guy and I figured you guys would would appreciate and update. Had my transplant right around 3 years ago and like a lot of people I kind of forgot about my hair after the one year mark. I can't say that hair loss is completely off my mind but I live my life fairly normally now and hair isnt so much of an issue. I'll try to give a better recap later but here are a couple pics. Pre op Post op pics In the blue are pictures taken by another coalition doctor who's local to me. I haven't really kept in contact with H&W and this update will be new to them too. The other doc appreciated my work and said he was very picky and had nothing but good to day about it. Mind you, in these pictures he's using studio quality lighting, no flash but a very good quality camera and this is after me trying to restyle it after he messed with and inspected it for a while. This is a screen shot of a video I took. I have more pictures that I may or may not post later Comparison photo current as of today.
  9. best of luck to you my friend! I know how painful hairloss can be. I went from being a really good looking guy with a boatload of confidence to hating to do anything because of hairloss and then back to my old self. Hair loss started really bugging me at age 22 but I probably saw it worse than it was and I finally took that plunge when I was 27 and it was one of the best life decisions I've made.. I would highly recommend H&W since you're so close to them. if your hair is too bad, I'd suggest buzzing it to see how it looks. Some people can pull of that look and some cant.
  10. heres the density picture. It wouldn't load before.. I have a young looking face and the hairline straight line design just seems a bit old but the density is pretty good.
  11. I just kind of wish the temples were a little more closed off and I prefer his hairline design. I had 2900 grafts.
  12. yes you don't want to use gels. They will make your hair look wet and thinner. I don't know how bad your hair is but the paste will give it the dry look and also give you the ability to style and restyle it. Also try using sea salt spray ( you can make it yourself for like a buck). If you've ever been to the sea you'll notice your hair has a thicker, dryer feeling to it and its because of the sea salt. You can make your own which will add some major density and coarseness to your hair.
  13. yeah it was a success. Heres a pre op verse a current pulled back post op pic that I just took and then density picture. We brought the hairline down just a tad then filled in the thinned out forelock and temples.
  14. Heres another one... The coalition doctor who took my 2.5 year post op photos has studio lighting and really good camera. This was at the end of our meeting where he had already played with my hair for a bit and me trying to get styled back the way I wear it. I go for the spikey messy all over the place look Below is a screen shot of a video. I still am not hairloss free. If I pull my hair back you can see recession but I do a great job of styling my hair to conceal it, while keeping current with modern style/ Plus I use the right product in my hair for what I'm after which is a matte paste not a concealer.
  15. No FUE. H&W doesn't offer it. Not a regret, I just wonder what my result would have been if I had gone to Rahal. I like his hairline design more and I had left over grafts when Dr. hasson was transplanting so it was always in the back of my mind if I had made the right choice. People and pictures can be deceiving. Most people would consider mine an absolute success, which I agree. The pic below is a self pre op pic then a 2.5 yearish post op pic from another ( local) coalition doctor. His thoughts were my transplant was an absolute sucesss, stating he's VERY picky and see's my result as fantastic. Transplant was 3 years ago.
  16. I had a transplant with Dr Hasson. I'm pleased but in the back of my mind I still wonder what the results would have been like if I had gone to Dr Rahal. That being said, I think he's a great choice. I got in on a cancellation appointment and had roughly 3k grafts and without getting too specific on pricing I had surgery for under $10k. They also paid my for my hotel.
  17. I had my transplant at 26-27. I thought about it earlier and am pretty glad I ddint. I was between norwood 2 and 3 when I did it though.
  18. if I'm being completely honest, your head of hair attached to my face would equal a good looking piece of work =]
  19. Great post! It's true, we're all suffering the same battle. No need to bully or insult one and other. & Bill- Firstly, I agree with Jesse about his doctor Secondly, you clearly forgot to include a key word in his description."Some of the worst..." is much different than "worst language I have ever seen on this forum" Lastly, you're absolutely right! This isnt the place or post to discuss his issues.
  20. Im about 10 months out and I've noticed my hairs up front don't let straight like the rest of my hair. I'm hoping it will tame over time. how long is it up front vs the back? and does the back have a natural curl?
  21. Jessie I honestly feel Dr. Fellers replies are more damaging than any of the complaints by you in this thread. I'm shocked and disgusted by his lack of professionalism & compassion. While I'll understand he's trying to protect his reputation and his business, it seems every time anyone has something negative to say about his product he always resorts to these vicious attacks. Though, he may not agree with your claims, we spend a lot of $$$ and put a lot of faith in these Doctors and its sickening to see a response like that. Not every patient will end up happy, we all know this. In the last 8-10 months I've seen these unhappy Feller patients pop up and EVERYTIME its been this SAME reaction from Feller. At one point I assumed I'd end up in his chair if I was ever stripped out as I considered him to be one of the best FUE doctors but that aint happenin now Good luck man, I wish you the best! And Jessie- Feller has the ability to edit his own post so if you want to make sure it stays you should quote it. Not saying he would but he still has the option
  22. I agree, if you think you're going bald then its probably true especially since you can see the density difference between top and sides. Post some pics when you get a chance. Depending on how bad your loss is and if you respond well to meds, you might be able to slow down or stop the process.
  23. If you want help, you'll need to post pics. Also a history of loss in your family [ Father or grandparents] is one of the best ways to predict if you'll have loss.
  24. I agree, I see nice improvements already. I think at the 5 month I stopped thinking about my hair as it became a lot more managable. The next few months will be good =]
  25. I'd say that looks very thin for 2k grafts. Good luck with with finding a resolution
