  1. I noticed this as well after a 1K FUE. Not necessarily a bad thing as it balanced out the density between the top and the sides, but the decrease in donor density is certainly more appreciable with FUE than after multiple FUT's. Either way, this is a natural, age-appropriate hairline. Excellent result!
  2. Dr. Wong speculated whether there's something in the recipient region that led transplanted hairs to thin out over time. Age related thinning and donor miniaturization explain some, but not every instance of transplanted hair thinning.
  3. Work looks clean and refined, and the hairline shape looks just right for you. Keep us posted!
  4. How old are you? I'd just shave the top and rock that manly beard you got. Save yourself the disappointment and dough. H&W were correct in their assessment.
  5. Took about 4-6 months after my first HT for the numbness to subside. Subsequent HT's just a few weeks.
  6. Dr. Nadimi will definitely soften up your hairline and cover up some of the residual scarring. Keep us posted!
  7. Definitely don't get surgery yet. You have too much native hair remaining to risk losing it to shock loss.
  8. A handful of top tier docs have stated in recent interviews with Melvin that HT's can thin over time. It may or may not be your situation, but it is impossible to say without pics. The best advice I can give you is to get another transplant to improve the situation.
  9. Just one FUE surgery and you're already over harvested. Unfortunately, I'm not sure you have much to work with anymore. Where do you live? You should consult with multiple elite docs in person to see if anything can be done. Strip is out of the question since your donor is see through. Beard hair is fine and dandy but it isn't going to fully restore a NW6. You could feasibly do SMP in the donor region to balance things out. You're definitely in a pickle.
  10. If the first pic is indeed 2 months pre-op then 4000 grafts is a drastically high number for your first surgery. You probably had shock loss since you had a lot of native hair to begin with. Regardless, be patient and reevaluate things at the 9 month mark.
  11. Do you have any pre-op and immediate post-op pics for context? How many grafts did you receive? Where did you go? Like the others have already stated, 4 months is waaaayy too early to have any kind of opinion on your results.
  12. I did have a cloth placed over my eyes to shield them from the surgical lighting. Tape seems like a weird way to accomplish this.
  13. Could be shock loss, could be over harvested, could be both. If it's shock loss, it'll grow back around months 4-6. If it's over harvested, then it's not coming back.
  14. Nizoral is great, but don't use it daily. Once or twice a week is enough. I would also recommend Neutrogena's tar based T-Gel once or twice a week. Simply applying organic aloe to the scalp can also sooth things. Edit: I did have an allergic reaction to minox. So that could be the situation if your face and eyebrows are itchy. Apply minox minimally or consider stopping it altogether.
  15. Looks like pretty poor work. Do you have any B&A's? Where did you go?
  16. Watching the game tonight and noticed that Buck's hair is filling in up front. Looking better now than it ever has. 👍
  17. Definitely thinning. Get on fin to keep what you have and perhaps regenerate the crown a bit.
  18. Your donor doesn't have much left to work with. Are you on fin? If not, you need to slow down your hair loss as your bridge is next to go.
  19. Very few docs are able to create natural looking temple points. I would consult with Dr. Konior to see what can be done. I would look into adding more density before zapping the area.
  20. A traumatic event can trigger a genetic predisposition for MPB. I would make an appointment with Dr. Cooley if you are in NC.
  21. Let it grow so you can really appreciate the growth over the next few months.
