  1. Were these pics taken before or after a morning shower? It could be that your hair is a bit oily and it's clumping together. Definitely get a miniaturization test with Dr. Bloxham, he'll let you know what's going on.
  2. Have you tried Dermmatch for your crown? Your crown is wide now and will only get wider. Then maybe FUE is the better technique for you.
  3. I hope so too - otherwise guys like me in the future will have run out of grafts before having the opportunity to address their crowns.
  4. Wait, I thought strip scars were supposed to be barbaric? 🤣 Practically invisible.
  5. Would you mind showing a pic of your donor area post-smp?
  6. Yup, could be overharvested, shock loss, or both. Hang in there. Things will improve just because of the healing process, but be realistic about how this HT will turn out.
  7. Saw palmetto is a waste of time, just stick with fin and oral min and hope for the best. Dr. Bisanga was correct to refuse you as a patient, but the meds might help you hold on to what you have. Give dermmatch and/or toppik a try too.
  8. It will definitely make a difference and might be worth it, but will it stand up to the harsh lights? Most likely not.
  9. Totally. I've been trying to solve this equation the last 7 HT's.
  10. You could split the difference like I did with my last procedure - it all depends on the amount of grafts you get. Just 700 grafts in my crown made a huge difference, the remaining 400 grafts went to my frontal third and temple points and I'm so glad I addressed those areas too. That's the conundrum with surgery. You want to address everything but the limited donor supply forces you to prioritize.
  11. Those off-hand comments from people who didn't know are so reaffirming, huh? I remember those after my first procedure with Dr. Paul. "Your hair has never looked better." "Keep the hair!" etc. Makes it feel all worth it.
  12. I know Dr. Konior does eyebrow transplants. Everything said about angling and utilizing nape hair is spot on.
  13. Ok, I see them now. I would personally not consider HT's if I were you. The area needing coverage far exceeds the donor supply you have. Body hair is not a good resource, but beard hair can be if you have good characteristics and if it matches the scalp hair. Be content with your virgin scalp.
  14. Got pics? For most NW7's hair transplants aren't worth the trouble.
  15. Undoubtedly one of the most stunning one pass transformations I've ever seen.
  16. Perhaps, but far less so than the overall density decrease with FUE. As someone who has had both FUT and FUE I can attest to this.
  17. Because strip is localized and FUE extractions are taken from the entire donor region.
  18. You don't HAVE to, but it would be the more prudent thing to do. Mostly due to your age and risk of shock loss, but also longterm planning as @JohnAC71 said. Not to mention that HT surgery is a big ordeal and a larger procedure would make it more worth your time, money, and emotional investment. Either way, if you're in Seattle then getting a in-person consult with H&W would be a great idea. They'll put you on the right track.
  19. Because strip alone generally renders more lifetime grafts than FUE alone. After just 1k FUE grafts I could tell that the overall density of my donor region decreased more noticeably than after the six strips. It's not simply the FUT/FUE combo that yields more grafts though - it's utterly maxing out on strip, then FUE that will yield the most lifetime grafts... at least with scalp hair.
