  1. Surprised the doctor suggested Dut. Isn't Dut way more powerful in both effects and potential issues? If fin was already working, not sure why Dut was necessary. Is it a requirement of the doctor for you to take Dut? I know it was either him or Couto that required fin, but never heard about requiring Dut. On a tangent I suspect why the results of Freitas are so good is a combination of good workmanship AND the fin, to prevent any shock loss and further thinning.
  2. When did you guys reveal to your partner you had a hair transplant and how did they take it?
  3. Anybody have scalp micropigmentation done to hide FUE scars and how did it turn out? Will this in any way make it harder for a future FUE for the doctor doing extractions?
  4. Are you done with all the electrolysis? The right temple still looks kind of odd. It could be the length however.
  5. @digi23 I have read this thread throughout and I do hope you still update before the 12 month update to get an idea of any lingering redness from the electrolysis. I too had terrible temple points done. Temple points should NOT be done in my opinion unless it's by someone very skilled. It's so hard to get right even if it's done "correctly" with single grafts. The hair on your temples is much finer than the top of your head so it's hard to look natural. And to those who say this procedure was good enough, they have not had to live with very obvious botched temple work. Photos don't do it justice. It is VERY noticeable to anyone who looks at your hair - and this is not just my imagination. I've had grandparents, uncles, and older friends least comment on it. How did you settle on which person to do your electrolysis @digi23 ?
  6. I've either consulted or used 2 of those 3. I would stay away from them and find a better doctor.
  7. Does the Dr use a smaller size punch to remove the lowered hairline than he does when extracting from the back? It seems you have no scarring in the front. Do you have FUE scars in the back?
  8. I suspect the reason why Couto and that other Spanish doctor has such good results is because of requiring Fin to stabilize loss and prevent shock loss. But I’ve seen good results without it but of course some guys don’t want to take it which is fine, just a risk.
  9. I see in your posts that you did VBeam for redness. Wouldn’t that work with any electrolysis redness as well?
  10. I see this comment from Dr. Bloxham saying electrolysis can be effective.
  11. I have tried growing them out long and it is still very obvious. I think after looking at many results over the years that temples are just notoriously difficult to get right due to texture and angle. Even some top surgeons on here post subpar results. Is electrolysis less likely to leave a scar? Your result looks good but did the hairs FUE'd out leave any scars? I notice your donor area has the scars but not the front. The angle does not follow the rest of my temples unfortunately. The hairs are thicker than the surrounding area but the density it thinner so it's a weird mismatch.
  12. Yes, added. I had around 200 grafts on each temporal point in 2018. The texture of the grafts after 3 years now is still much thicker than the surrounding hair so it sticks out like a sore thumb. I have had my mid 50 year old parents ask why my temples looks so odd so if they can notice it, so can others.
