6 Month Update:

Hello, everyone. I've completed six month few days back. I'm quite happy with the overall progress so far. Under standard lighting result is looking satisfactory, but with more sunlight & top view wise some area is getting exposed, but I'm not concerned at all. I'm looking at the progress month wise. Possibly some shading is going on for the marked area "c" grafts which were removed from the hairline, transplanted there (30 grafts) 45 days back. I went for the fade cut for the sides. Left portion side not looking great due to my previous HT, where it was over harvested.

Medications:  Currently I'm taking finasteride 1mg 3 times in a week and oral minoxidil of 2.5mg (completed 5months) everyday. I'm thinking to add topical minoxidil 5% with added 0.1% finasteride to improve the marked area (a&b)? Should I start using it or should I give oral minoxidil and finasteride combo few more months ?

Any comments are highly welcomed.

I've tried to share photos in different lighting-

How’s it looking now? Curious to see your progress!

Hello, I was quite busy in month seven mark. I couldn't provide an update at that time. In around 8-10 days, I'll be reaching the eight month mark. So, I've decided to give an update when I reach month eight.

Month 8 Update:

Hi, everyone. I’ve completed month 8 few days back. So, I wanted to post an update at month 7 mark, but I couldn’t due to some issues. I'm happy with the overall progress so far. As I've previously said, under certain conditions there's see through from the top view. Other than that, looking good.

I'm still taking 1mg of finasteride 3/4 times in a week and 2.5mg of oral minoxidil daily.

How do you feel about the donor ? Don't you think it looks a bit thin ?

Well, yes. It was already overharvested previously. So, while the extraction was going on Dr. Told me that I wouldn't be able to go for the fade cut. If I do so, some thinning would be visible. I agreed to that, but for some reasons I went for the fade cut twice. If I grow hair longer, it would be less visible.

Looking good

Any scarring of locations from where pluggy hairs were punched out from front also in total how many hairs were punched out from front hairline ?

Hello, they used sharp punches to extract doubles from the hairline and fronto temporal angle. In total, 150 grafts. It didn't cause any scars. All the scars were gone by the next 72 hours.

@Shadman Yo, what a complete turnaround!

I would just like to say that I’m sorry that you have to deal with what Dr. Bhatti did to you previously.

What an incredible transformation, though!!

I'm sure there are things about it that you hope will resolve but from my point of view your hair looks so curly, full, and natural.

And this is only 8 months!

Congratulations!

Thank you ! 😊 I'm happy with the overall progress so far.  My main motive behind the repair surgery was, to correct my hairline. And add some density, so that there's less see through and at least create an illusion of having hairs.

This is such a huge improvement over you're last ht, such a shame when Dr Bhattis work dropped off. Once upon a time he was actually a decent option.

Thank you, Yes, true. Over the years, his quality has dropped of significantly. Moreover, he's not ready to  upgrade himself with time. Still using the same tools which were used previously.

This is a great result, so so so much better, looks lovely and natural, and tbh even the thinning on the sides is fine, nothing looks bad about it, I hope its got your mind in a better place from the last surgery, I feel for you mate going through that, I have been there in my teens and its not good on your mind, I am so glad you got it sorted and looking so good now :)

Thank you 😀 yes, I'm not concerned on the side thinning, because it gets exposed only when I go for the fade cut. Other than that, not that visible. Although I also feel like it sorted, but at around 10-11 month mark  I'll take a call after discussing with Dr. Somesh whether some improvements can be done or not.

Hey man, please go through my post. I just shared my month-6 update. I am still losing massive hair. I feel I have had a failed HT, and need to get it fixed. I would really appreciate your opinion as you have been there before.
