Did you insist on Oral minoxidil or was it recommended by the clinic?

Hi, it was recommended by Dr. Somesh. While the procedure was going on he was shocked to see my over harvested donor, which was done by my previous HT surgeon. To improve the donor & overall quality of hair, he suggested to take oral minoxidil 2.5 mg on every day.

Ahh looking great man! Can’t wait to be where you’re at lol. Density is right around the corner!

have you noticed any results with high protein diet? Also are you in finasteride?

Thank you, you'll be here very soon 😀

I took a break from finasteride for almost 30 months after my first hair transplant. From mid March,2023 (when I was planning for repair procedure) I've been taking oral finasteride 1 mg three times in a week. Al though I'm having some issues with it, but my plan is to continue it for around 2 more months and after that I might switch completely to thetropical one after consulting with Dr. Somesh.

And currently I'm going to the gym six times in a week, following the lean muscle gain program. So, having a high protein diet is helping me to achieve my goal for muscle gain and also it might boost the overall HT result.

No, looking at the donor asked about my previous procedure. Dr. told me that certainly not 2245 grafts were extracted. Extracted Grafts numbers are higher than it. Moreover, sharp punches weren't used by Dr. Bhatti. Scars were visible.

In my repair procedure, Eugenix Technician who was doing the extraction having discussion with me regarding cricket. At one time he said "kaha se kiya aap, donor pura kharab Kar diya" if I'm not wrong you're from India. So, I'm just writing what he said.

What did Eugenix charge per graft?

For 3.5 months its looking good, could you also share a high quality image of the extracted hairs from hairline receipient area

Hi, I'm noticing some growth among the extracted grafts which were removed from the hairline and fronto temporal angle. During the procedure Dr. Informed me that if I'm botherd by the growth I need to come again for the extraction. For a repair procedure, multiple sessions are usually required because some grafts will be in the telogen phase. I'm in talk with the clinic. After a month, I'll give an update and also share closeup picture of the hairline.

4.5 Month update:

Hello, everyone. I’m updating at 4.5 month. So, I just traveled back to India for few days to watch a cricket world cup match and to have a follow up visit with Eugenix. I was noticing some growth among the extracted grafts which were removed from the hairline. 27th October, I visited Eugenix. Dr. Somesh evaluated my condition. He told me that if any density touchup is required that has to be done at least after 12 months from the procedure. As of now only extraction can be done and would be implanted on that area where transplantation didn’t happen. I agreed with his planning,

Around 40-45 grafts were extracted from the hairline and fronto temporal angle. Those were doubles. 30 grafts were useable. Rather than wasting those grafts, me and Dr. Somesh came into a conclusion that would be used for the mid zone. Eugenix gave a complimentary prp all over the head.
I would like to thank Dr. Somesh and Eugenix team once again for their way of treating a patient.

Medication: I’ve  decided to proceed four more months with the oral minoxidil and finasteride.  I think to get the best outcome at least six months should be given for oral minoxidil.

Any questions, comments are highly welcomed

Regards,

Shadman

Hello, Dr. was glad to see the donor's recovery and  satisfied with the overall growth at 4.5 month. I’ll take a call at around 10 month whether I’ll go for another touch up or not. If I go, that will be after completing 12 months.

And regarding the clinic selection, I would say my initial planning matched completely with Eugenix. Moreover, I I’ve been following Eugenix since 2020. Producing great results consistently.

6 Month Update:

Hello, everyone. I've completed six month few days back. I'm quite happy with the overall progress so far. Under standard lighting result is looking satisfactory, but with more sunlight & top view wise some area is getting exposed, but I'm not concerned at all. I'm looking at the progress month wise. Possibly some shading is going on for the marked area "c" grafts which were removed from the hairline, transplanted there (30 grafts) 45 days back. I went for the fade cut for the sides. Left portion side not looking great due to my previous HT, where it was over harvested.

Medications:  Currently I'm taking finasteride 1mg 3 times in a week and oral minoxidil of 2.5mg (completed 5months) everyday. I'm thinking to add topical minoxidil 5% with added 0.1% finasteride to improve the marked area (a&b)? Should I start using it or should I give oral minoxidil and finasteride combo few more months ?

Any comments are highly welcomed.

I've tried to share photos in different lighting-

I would give oral Finasteride and oral minoxidil a good twelve months at least before changing anything. The same with the hair transplant itself. If anything in consultation with your doctor you could increase you current meds rather than mix and add more. Looking good and you have several more months of growth ahead of you.

Thank you for your comment. As you've said, I'm also thinking that instead of mixing and adding more, let's give oral minoxidil and finasteride few more months.
