  1. Completed 2 months. A bit worried about my existing hair, hoping they would recover soon.
  2. Doctor recommended to start with fin and some multivitamins. I can start Min on the non transplanted hair as of now and after 3 months on transplanted hair. Although I am hoping, finasteride can do some magic and I don't have to go back on minoxidil. One less medication to worry about. Yeah, I am not skipping finasteride. I am mostly worried about my existing hair as of now. I am hoping it can go back to where it was before the transplant. I think I lost more than 50% of my transplanted hair, that was expected but the wait is so frustrating.
  3. Completed 1 month. Since I am not using minoxidil, i feel my existing hair have gone a little thin and not growing uniformly.
  4. It’s been couple of weeks now. Hair wash done, scabs cleaned and started observing shedding as well.
  5. I started on both finasteride and minoxidil simultaneously. It did significantly helped in strengthening of the existing hair and prevented further hair loss. Kept my hair very short before starting on the medication, would be difficult to do side by side comparison but crown did improved. Tropical minoxidil 5% and 1 mg finasteride both once daily a few hours before sleeping. Yeah I get that a lot 😁 Hopefully will keep the thread updated with monthly progress. 🤞🏽
  6. Hey Everyone, I have been contemplating the thought of getting my hair transplant done for the past few years but finally I took the plunge and got my hair transplant done at Eugenix Gurgaon on 4th of July. Designing and Slitting was performed by Dr Somesh, extraction and implantation was done by senior technicians under the guidance of Dr Somesh. Total grafts transplanted were around 2500 and the whole surgery was hassle free. A slight pinch was observed during anesthesia, but post that I didn't feel a thing. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff kept inquiring about my well being during the whole process. I was not expecting the whole thing to go this smoothly but the team at Eugenix are very well trained at this. A little background about me. I am 34 years old and have been suffering from hair loss for the past 13-14 years now. I used to keep my hair short, hoping that it would not go from bad to worse, but my hair kept on thinning. Based on the recommendation that I got from this forum, I started taking Finasteride & Minoxidil for the past 3 years and observed a significant improvement in my hair density and growth. I felt I have reached maximum improvement through the meds and this is the right time to go ahead with transplant. Pics from 2020 before I started taking Finasterde : Also, I did a consultation with Dr Bhatti in 2020 by sharing the following pics and the recommendation that came from him was around 4700 grafts for both frontal and the crown area. Pics before the surgery : Pics after the surgery : Hoping to hear some feedback from the community members and let the waiting game begins.
  7. Thank you for further clarifying things for me. The thought of not having to go for a surgery is wonderful one, never thought this could also be an option for me. I'll discuss all these points with Dr Bhatti and see what he thinks would be best for me. Hi Melvin, I am almost 32 now and yes I have already submitted consultation through the link to all the three Doctors. Discussion is ongoing with Dr Bhatti over email, the timeline I gave him is next 3-4 months for the hair transplant, to which he replied not to opt for any medications. He suggested I'll need around 3500 available scalp grafts and additionally, 1200 body grafts from beard and chest. Although I am not very comfortable with beard and chest graft but let's see how the discussion pans out. I am yet to get a reply from Dr Arika Bansal and Dr Pradeep Sethi.
  8. Dr Bhatti has been posting a lot of informative videos on hair loss these days, one of which says, not to opt for finasteride before a hair transplant. I may have interpreted it wrong, but would love to have more clarity on this.
  9. Thank you for your reply. Just a bit confused here, so are you saying that I can start on the meds now and see the result in 6-9 months and then decide on the extent of transplant?
  10. I am planning for a hair transplant in next 3-4 months and I am from India, so probably will opt for Dr Bhatti or Eugenix clinic. I have been losing hairs for more than 12 years now and not on any kind of medication. I keep my hairs very short but it did not help in slowing down the hair loss process. Finally I have decided that this is the right time to get a hair transplant. I have been following this forum for a while now and seeing the transformations of most of you guys have encouraged me to go for a HT. I took these pics yesterday, what do you guys think of my current condition and how much graft would I need to have a decent coverage?
