Regular Member naakmuka Posted November 2, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 2, 2020 (edited) UPDATE - Day 53 Post OP Heavy shedding is happening as expected. I think I've lost about 80% of transplanted hair. I'm honestly trying my best not to look in the mirror! LOL. But it's good for this to be done with. The only thing that can happen from here is growth! (Hopefully ) Apart from the shedding, I don't really have anything else to report. I've started taking Biotin capsules. Here are a few photos to show the shedding progress: Day 19 Post Op: Day 37 Post Op: Day 53 Post OP Edited November 2, 2020 by naakmuka

I believe its a solution in which the grafts are stored in after harvesting and before implanting them. They give them a better chance for survival. Senior Member Kaya Posted December 10, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 10, 2020 Any updates? You should be seeing very few or them sprouting by now.
Regular Member naakmuka Posted December 11, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 11, 2020 Month 3- Update. I dont see anything sprouting as yet. Whatever hair is present were not shedded. They just grew longer. I expected at least to see some baby hairs at month 3. I know its still early, but its very hard to see no progress. Do I look normal for the 3 month mark? Senior Member Britanium Posted December 11, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 11, 2020 Looks right on track to me. Most people’s growth starts around 4 months. Nothing to worry about at just 3 months.
Valued Contributor Steeeve Posted December 11, 2020 Valued Contributor Share Posted December 11, 2020 I think it looks great for month 3. I see a difference in what it looks like from preop to month 3. Maybe because you’re seeing the change everyday it’s making it harder to notice but I see a difference from this:to this:It’s just my 2 cents, however, I think you’re looking 👌🏻👌🏻
Regular Member naakmuka Posted December 11, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 11, 2020 Thanks @JohnAC71 and @Steeeve. Yeah that's probably it. Been looking at it everyday. Your comments make me feel better. I try hard to not think about it too much though. I'm so glad for this lockdown. I don't know how I would have managed without it.
Senior Member Kaya Posted December 14, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 14, 2020 I can see the new sprouts already zooming in (see attached) You are on track, doing perfectly fine.
Regular Member naakmuka Posted December 29, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 29, 2020 3.5 Month Update: I know it's early, but I expected to see a few more sprouts, especially along the hairline. Do the grafts show up in spurts? Because whatever I have right now, has been there for about 3 weeks (and just grown longer) Waiting sucks! Hoping to see something positive soon. Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted December 29, 2020 Valued Contributor Share Posted December 29, 2020 You can see a difference between month 3 to month 4. I know it's frustrating and difficult with this patience game. You will see hairs starting to pop and sprout. From now on things will pick up but just not at the rate that we would want. Looking forward to following your updates. All the best! 1 GATSBY 'UNPLUGGED!' 15,671 (3 surgeries) Grafts FUE+BHT Dr. Sethi Eugenix
Regular Member baldforalongtime Posted December 29, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted December 29, 2020 It really looks like you're getting some growth. The daily checking is both impossible to avoid and torture. Give it two more months and you'll have enough growth that this time will be a distant memory. Happy growing!

Regular Member naakmuka Posted January 10, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 10, 2021 4 Month Update The first three photos are the recipient area in different lightings. There has been an improvement since Month 3, but I'm a little concerned about the density. But I'm still early, so I hope there are many more sprouts to come. Let me know what you guys think. It's been a while since I updated any photos of my donor, I will do that soon.
Regular Member naakmuka Posted January 10, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 10, 2021 Here are some photos of my donor from different angles. I trimmed down to about a 3.5 yesterday. I still have some shockloss around the scar, but its not too bad. The scar has healed pretty well. In a month or two, I expect it to be much better. The scar with hair parted and zoomed in:
Senior Member deitel130 Posted January 11, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted January 11, 2021 When zooming in there does seem to be growth. I see shorter thin hairs which should thicken over time. Also, if you compare your 3 month to 4 month there is a difference as well. This is usually the start of growth so hopefully it should continue to pickup and improve from here. How I see it is this. I imagine the only people that would be on this forum that do not have hairloss would be doctors and technicians, or maybe prospective patients who want a hairline lowering. Otherwise the average person on here would have some degree of hairloss and alot of feelings of lowered self esteem and low confidence due to their hairloss. These people have had hair on their mind for a while which is why they joined this forum. Now that they have their hair on their head after 4-whatever or so months and they don't have that feeling of lowered self esteem associated with hairloss, the thoughts of "should check HRN" or "need to update my HRN thread" would become much less and eventually would fall very short off their priorities until it is forgotten about. Unhappy patients would stay on here for longer due to the feelings of lowered self esteem would remain or even intensify. 12+ Months Finasteride + Minoxidil 3872 FUE w/ Dr Hasson | November 2022
