It seems like most hair sprays I've used dry the absolute hell out of my hair making it appear completely brittle and sometimes dare I say thinner. I'm curious if there are any out there that aren't as bad.

Thanks for sharing. I kind of see where he's coming from in the sense that you can only create so much density in one pass on a completely bald scalp. If it were your crown where you can get away with just having "coverage" then it's different and could be ok, but at the hairline area you really want things to be perfect. So, when you are talking about creating a completely new hairline on a completely bald scalp as opposed to let's say just filling in the corners or adding density on an already existing thinned out hairline, the chances of getting the best density is probably 50/50. I'm still not a huge fan of mentioning a second surgery like it's just waltz in the park, but I guess it is the harsh reality of the hair transplant game when it comes to a case like this.

From what I remember reading, he increased his price yet again this year, now to 3.5 euro 😩 Previously he was at 3 euro per graft in 2022 and 2.5 in 2021.

Yeah. Poor yield. Wayyy too many grafts in such a small area. I forget the details of why that’s not a good idea but I’ve read about it before. That being said I’ve seen more great results from Ferreira than disappointing ones.

Good luck with that. The harsh reality that we often forget is that the end of the day all of these surgeons run a business, and them admitting to a mistake would be damaging to them and their brand. No matter who you go, having surgery is a roll of the dice in my opinion. Because these people aren't your friends. You are a consumer paying them to perform a service. I'll admit though it is pretty cringe when you see surgeries go bad and the clinics try to either defend it or make up some other excuse. In your case clearly something went a bit wrong, whether it was a poor growth yield or failure to use enough multi's to achieve good density. I hear you about the lost grafts, but considering your (pretty awesome already) hair is stabilized and you only have these two weak points that now basically need a touch up surgery, you'll be fine in due time.

I am currently almost 2 months post-op from my transplant and am full fledged in the ugly duckling stage. I would rather not share photos but will explain the issue the best I can. Despite the shed, all of the transplanted areas have maintained a little bit of hair with the typical stubbly and wirey hairs that we have all seen many times. There are even the common pimples here and there as well. So it's easy to spot which areas will have the hair grow in a couple more months. There is ONE area though, part of my left temple to be specific which was badly receded to begin with, that shed every single hair in it, and is currently slick bald as if it was never even operated on. This is a very crucial area obviously as it would connect to my new hairline. I am curious if you guys think this means anything or if it may be of any concern with regards to regrowth once the 3-4 month mark come. Thank you.

Hard to say without actually seeing and measuring the scalp, but it looks like ballpark 3000 for frontal third, 2500 for midscalp and crown.

Well for what it's worth he got it at some point around circa 2016 when he was still in his 30's and on top of that he's an actor. When you're an actor your image is your brand. Anything you can do to enhance your look will benefit you even if slightly.

It's interesting (and inspiring) just how many celebrities have had hair transplants, even minor ones like this that aren't obvious to most. First pic is 2015, second 2017. So he had it at some point in between.

About a year. Someone recently wrote that they just booked for May 2023.

3.5 euro per graft. If you're in the states it's a hell of a deal right now with the current value of the euro.

@Melvin- ModeratorWell I'm a bit confused. If we are talking about a loan to pay for a hair transplant then that would be much different. Is that what you did? I can't say I know of any banks who would loan me 10 grand for a cosmetic surgery interest free. By no means are all of us unwilling to invest in oursleves for the better good. But parting with 10k on the spot is very difficult for most. The majority of people don't have tens of thousands in their bank account. That's just reality. The majority also wouldn't ever cut a check for $10,500 for a car imo. Most lease, or put down a few grand and make monthly payments.

Desperate for hair or not, the common man (myself included) simply cannot afford to pay $8,000-10,000 per surgery overseas at these 3, some now 3.5 euro per graft clinics, not to mention the cost of the trip (flights, hotels, ubers, etc). Of course I am talking about good clinics here and not hair mills. Dr. Bruno Ferreira as an example is now 3.5 euro per graft. A 3,000 graft surgery would be a whopping $10,500. That just feels like too much imho.

I definitely understand your concern about how it looked post-op. Things usually always appear more sharp than they will eventually turn out. As of your last update I really don't think the temples look overly aggressive in any real way. Yes they could have been slightly scaled back a bit more but given where you were to where you are now and given the grand scheme of hair transplant results, I'd be happy if I were you at this stage. Pekiner, Bicer, HLC, *maybe* Asmed. Anyone else is rolling the dice in the country of Turkey. I know that's harsh, but it's just the way it is in my opinion. Mind you I've seen hundreds upon hundreds of results. Your situation isn't horrific by any means, but the fact that some members have said it looks ok and "natural" in this thread is the reason a situation like this has occurred, if that makes sense. Just another day in the modern day hair transplant world. I would go to a reputable clinic that can pull off a repair (i.e. Eugenix, Bisanga, Ferreira) have a couple hundred fine singles placed in front of the loads of multi's, and consider yourself lucky it wasn't worse. Looks really good. I appreciate how a conservative number of grafts were used given just how thick/dark your hair behind the hairline is. Good illusion of density. If you don't mind me asking how much were you charged per graft? Thanks.

First, in no way shape or form should you even be close to judging whether or not its a "home run" at 6 months. Sure, some people are in great shape at 6 months, while others round the turn at month 8-9. That all said, based on the density you were looking at in the couple of weeks post-op, do you feel like the majority of hairs have at least sprouted by now? Even if they did, it can take many more months for them to fully mature and thicken up. I know 6 months seems like an eternity in this journey but the truth is you still have a good 3-4 more key months to go. As a side note the hairline looks like a home run, that I can say. Super natural.

Konior, Wesley, Dorin, Bernstein, Bruno Pinto, Bruno Ferreira, De Freitas, Pekiner to name a few are the docs that I'd say natural hairlines are a safe be from what I've seen.

You would get mediocre density. This is a hair transplant after all. If you are motivated and understand what the future will undoubtedly hold for you (i.e. at least 2 more transplants down the road, or 1 if you don't care about your crown) then sure, of course its all possible. If and only if your results end up being ok and don't experience poor survival which is always an unfortunate possibility. Personally though if I had all the hair you still have I would use fibers or dermatch and ride that wave until I couldn't anymore, even if its for years, and only after your hair loss has progressed then and only then go for your first surgery. That's how I would play it if Finasteride is off the table.
