To be honest nothing has changed, still looks the same as month 7-8, I'll try upload a pic when I can.

And for those asking if they should go to Pekiner or not, my answer is I don't know. I'm not satisfied with my transplant so interpret that how you will.

Guano,

It´s sad to see this final result. It was really promising on the post-photos.

However, you seemed to have a nice donor area, how is the donor right now...  and your hairline could be easily fix with 700-800 grafts.

About the touch-up, have you decided on going back with Pekiner? Even if it´s free havent you considered other options?

Have you had any explanation from the Dr as to what has happened?

Usually post op pics give a pretty decent indicator of the final result and yours looked like it would be a slam dunk :(

Not true, post-op pictures do very little to interpret the growth of the procedure. No one knows until the results manifest. But 12 months is necessary to give full assessment.

Yeah unfortunately I couldn't find anything which was as up close exposing the hairline even with the photos I sent initially to Pekiner are all with the hair pulled back. But its a shit feeling knowing that you've taken 2 steps back and are now in a worser position after spending all that time and money.. even so knowing that now I wont have the financial resources to go for another HT anytime soon..

get Smp for the scars in back. Look at williesmp on int

Any update on this? I’m looking at Using Dr Perkiner because I really like his hairline work but obviously you haven’t been happy with yours which is a little worrying. One on the reasons I won’t mess with Minodoxil is because of the issues your having - it seems to be something you need to stay on for life and I don’t like the idea of interrupting my hairs natural growth cycles.

“Mess” with minoxidil. It is worth, trust me!

Is t hi just from using minoxidil?

I'm using minoxidil and fina but I've been using fina for 24 years  (even when I took the first pic)
I had a small HT to lower HL but for the middle and the crown I need to thank minoxidil.

You should start a new thread of your minoxidil transformation.

Any updates on your HT? I’m scheduled for early June; I hadn’t seen this thread before booking…. Now i’m not sure if I should go with Pekiner or just forgo the 500 euro and find someone better. He said I need prob close to 3000 grafts but I don’t want to get it then need to pay another 10k to fix it…

Removed the question; I saw the Doc did offer a touch up. Ugh; I wish I had seen the lackluster results on this forum before I scheduled my HT.

There are lots of excellent Pekiner cases too so try not to let one not so good result put you off. Of course though you have to decide what's best for you but even the very best have the occasional subpar result for whatever reason.

Good luck.

I agree with @BLE123, Pekiner is an excellent surgeon, it's true, no surgeon can guarantee you the success of a hair transplant, the difference between a surgeon / clinic and another, you can see it from the way  where they handle less successful cases like this.  Unfortunately @Guano he still hasn't let us know how his case ended.

Thanks Guys. I've seen several good cases on a few of the other forums but now my thinking is many of those are probably sponsored posts. I'm not saying he is bad, but judging form Guano's silence I think he may be coming to a financial arrangement with people providing negative feedback so that it goes away. That's really unfortunate because then you only see his best work, the poor results either don't get published or end up being removed/discontinued as in the case here.

I tried to get a consult here with one of the local HT surgeons (Dr. William Lindsey-USA/VA) but never got a response. I also really don't like how many of the US doctors seem to push FUT; I figured in Turkey where they sort of specialize in FUE would be ideal since they seem to do the most cases and Pekiner was regarded as one of the best. I've got a couple more weeks to decide. If I do end up with bad results at least you guys will know about them here. If I stop responding I probably got paid off as well :).

Why do you have a time limit? Don’t rush into surgery.

Hey Melvin, your hair looks awesome in your videos btw, congrats. I’ve scheduled my transplant for early June and paid a deposit, bought a airline ticket, got a visa, etc. I can cancel I guess but I’d lose all the sunken costs. I had been thinking about it for a while and did quite a bit of research before scheduling, I just hadn’t seen a few of the threads on this forum. I’ve had online consultations with Demisroy, HLC, and a couple others for a FUE HT. I am shooting to have it done before I actually have to go back in the office with at least a few weeks of recovery time.

Pekiner has said, based on my photos, that I am an ideal candidate although I have diffuse thinning in the crown and mid-scalp area (it is difficult to find similar cases to my hair loss). I have been on dutasteride for over 10 years so my hair loss has progressed very slowly. It honestly seems like Pekiner is a great surgeon, I may just be freaking out a bit now that I am approaching the surgery dates. I guess if I need a touch up or have any issues, it seems like Dr. Pekiner does try to make it right. Thanks for everyone’s responses on the forum and Egy’s emails of encouragement. It really does help to have others who have been in a similar situation. Now if only my wife would understand why my hair is so important lol.

If you’ve done the research, trust in the process.
