  1. Thank you all for your kind words. It`s pretty clear that so far the results are nothing less than amazing.
  2. @Curious25 my wife and kids make me shave every day so no luck with that photo. Pekiner said I had no more scalp donor left but @Dr. Bruno Ferreira is better at donor management and I’m pretty sure he will be able get more than 1500 grafts out of my scalp. If I go for a third surgery he’s my top choice along with Pekiner if I find myself again reliant on a mega session of beard grafts to increase density.
  3. @Curious25 thank you so much for your kind words. I chose Dr. Pekiner because he has more experience with mega sessions of beard grafts and manages to produce very natural results with them as he uses beard grafts in most of his surgeries. I had almost 1800 beard grafts implanted in just 1 day which is truly amazing. Dr. Bruno Ferreira is more used to repair jobs that demand a highly skilled approach and patients with miniaturized hairs so I feel very comfortable recommending him. If I didn`t require a massive amount of beard grafts to add density I would have definitely chosen Dr. BF My beard donor area has recovered nicely. I didn’t shave today and with a 1 day beard it’s easier to spot the extracted grafts.
  4. @Rolandas actually Dr. Pekiner said i have thin hair and even my beard is thin just like my hair so I won`t be able to get added density from beard grafts because they are just as thick as my hair. Your results are also looking pretty amazing! @HTHope I cut my side and back with a number 4 razor and didn`t notice any areas of thinness in my donor region. I`m hoping these gaps will be filled in over the course of the next few months.
  5. Hello everyone, I hit the 6 month mark on the 28th of June and I do apologize for the delay but I had booked a haircut and wanted to post pictures taken after the haircut. I was hoping for a coverage without gaps by now but I do realize I had 120cm2 of desert and only 2007 FUE + 1888 BHT grafts were implanted. Looking forward to your comments.
  6. @xabi86 I had my first hair transplant 12 years ago when I was 25 years old to rebuild my frontal hairline. Due to the fact that I didn’t take Finasteride I lost a lot of my transplanted hairs and several have thinned out. Even transplanted hairs suffer from your predetermined genetic hairloss and you can only prevent it if you take Finasteride for the rest of your life.
  7. @criticalpain if your are looking for the best price/quality surgeon then you should really look into Dr. Arika at Eugenix (1.8€/graft) just like @Melvin-Moderator reccomendend. There is no other surgeon charging that price for such a highly skilled surgery. Demirsoy is the cheapest surgeon in Turkey and charges 1.25€/graft but he`s technique is old school and his results are decent but not on the same level as Dr. Arika. Turkey is the world capital of botched hair transplants with many hairmills like Cinik, Asmed, etc that have technicians perform the surgery with zero to little involvement from the Doctor. Technicians in Turkey don`t need a medical background so you can have a former taxi driver doing your surgery. Results at these hairmills depend on your luck to get a good tech team.
  8. @Chances101 I had a HT with Dr. Rahal to rebuild my front when I was a 25 year old kid. Because I didn`t take Finasteride my hairloss progressed so I lost all the hair in my midscalp and crown by the time I was 32 years old. Last year at age 37 I went for a second HT to rebuild my crown and midscalp.
  9. @Gasthoerer your are quite right in saying there is not enough evidence to place Dr. BF above De Freitas. It’s my opinion based on information I’m getting on a regular basis from one my closest friend that had a HT with Dr. BF last month. Pretty sure you will come to the same conclusion once there’s more patients posting results.
  10. @rhstoned Dr. Ferreira is not Lorenzo’s assistant he is a Doctor at Lorenzo’s clinic. You pay 5€/graft for Lorenzo and for Dr. BF I think it’s 3.5€/graft. All his work at Lorenzo’s clinic can’t be advertised by him which is why he doesn’t have many online results. I think we will be seeing some patient results from people that went to his own clinic in Porto (2.5€/graft) very soon. My friend went there last month and he will posting soon.
  11. @karatekid I manage the international sales department and travel worldwide but the first time I read the term spaniard was here at HRN. I never saw any difference in the appearance or the hair of the average Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian or North American. Maybe Germans and Scandinavians will have more population with blonde hair. In terms of ethnicity in hair I really think you can only break everyone up into 4 categories caucasian (wider range from thin blonde to dark thick hair), african, indian and asians. I have to disagree with you in Dr. De Freitas because I believe Dr. BF to be much better but the problem is that Dr. BF has fewer results posted online (due to the fact he works with Lorenzo in Madrid and not 100% devoted to his own clinic). Dr. De Freitas started his FUE experience working in Portugal and in the same Portuguese clinic as Dr. BF - C2MC - and then he went to work in Spanish hospitals and clinics before opening his own clinic. Dr. BF was considered highly skilled at Conventions and was invited to work in Madrid with one of the best Doctors in the world (Lorenzo). He has his own clinic but is still developing his craft everyday with Lorezon in Madrid tackling difficult repair cases and DUPA patients. Sorry but there’s really no comparison between De Freitas and Dr. BF in terms of skills.
  12. @Curious25 all your suggestions are truly great! it’s Dr. Bruno Ferreira and not Ferria, he works with Lorenzo in Madrid but charges a lower price in his own clinic in Porto (2.5€/graft). I always recommend him because I haven’t been able to find any other Doctor at that price level doing such a highly skilled doctor only technique.
  13. Yes if you want Pekiner I highly advise in-person consultation and assurance from him that he won’t abort your surgery after extracting a few grafts. With the other 2 options you have and Dr.BF I wouldn’t spend money on traveling arrangements for a in-person consultation and would just ask for a diagnosis and have a talk with them on the day of the surgery (I did it this way with Rahal and Pekiner).
  14. @Vpac if you read recent threads on ASMED you will see that they are a high price Turkish Hairmill with technicians operating on 8 patients per day and with zero to little intervention from the doctor. There are several ASMED patients on HRN with botched results stating they were either threatened with lawyers or simply ignored. I never considered ASMED or any other Turkish hairmill because I would never gamble my HT results on my luck to get a good tech team doing my surgery. I prefered to have a Doctor and his staff solely focused on my surgery for 3 whole days. Techs in Turkey don’t need academic healthcare background so you can have a tech that was washing dishes 2 months ago now doing your surgery. No thanks!
  15. @karatekid you should know that Pekiner aborts surgeries if he finds miniaturized hairs. He did that to Duchaine and one of my best friends. He does achieve great results though. My friend after being rejected by Dr. Pekiner went to @Dr. Bruno Ferreira because he works with Dr. Lorenzo that is the foremost authority in DUPA (worst than miniaturized hair) and one of the best FUE Docs in the world. My friend had 3210 to the front last month and has one of the cleanest and most optimized donor area I have ever seen (much like @Rolandas that also went to Dr. BF). Dr. BF has his own clinic in Porto where he charges 2.5€/graft and uses the same technique as Dr. De Freitas and Dr. Couto. I advise you to request a diagnosis to Dr. BF. Your other two options are very very good so no way to go wrong.
  16. @tressful11 if you stop Finasteride for 2 months you will lose all benefits you have achieved during the time you have taken this drug. Be prepared for irreversible shock-loss.
  17. @xabi86 the best for BHT are HLC (2.5€/graft) Eugenix (2.2€/graft) and Pekiner (2.25€/graft but he aborts surgeries if you have miniaturized hairs).
  18. @Cristero you are very right in saying that Dr. Pekiner results are very good and some even better than HLC but Pekiner aborts surgeries if he finds miniaturized hairs. I advised one of my best friends to go to Pekiner and he aborted his surgery for that same reason. He got a second opinion with @Dr. Bruno Ferreira that indeed confirmed the presence of miniaturized hairs but failed to understand why Pekiner aborted his surgery. Last month my friend had 3210 grafts implanted by Dr. BF. The same thing happened to a member called Duchaine, he had his surgery at HLC in January after being aborted by Pekiner. This is the only reason why I don’t recommend Pekiner but yes he does gets truly amazing results and I’m happy I chose him for my HT. I prefer to only recommend Doctors that I know about in terms of technique and results but most importantly Doctors that I’m sure will be able to achieve good results regardless of the patient conditions.
  19. For FUT the best are Dr. Muresanu at Hattingen Clinic or H&W.
  20. @Manig31286 belonging to associations means ZERO! What matters is the Doctors technique and their real patients posting real results in forums for us to see the hairline and the Doctors skill. If you can afford it I highly advise @Dr. Bruno Ferreira because he works in Madrid with one of the best FUE docs in the world Dr. Jose Lorenzo but he also has his own clinic in Porto where he charges 2.5€/graft. He uses a smaller punch that HLC (another good option at the same price) and has some of best donor management and recovery I have ever seen. He implants using DHI which means the nurses puts each graft inside implantor pens and these pens opens the hole/slit and implant the graft at the same time (smaller punch quicker recovery). This is the same technique used by Dr. Juan Couto, Dr. Lorenzo, Dr. Rafael De Freitas.
  21. @Manig31286 don’t go after low cost Doctors. If you want a quality hair transplant at affordable price your best option is Dr. Arika at Eugenix for 1.8€/graft.
  22. @Raza the consensus in this forum is that Dr. Reddy is the best choice in the UK but he’s overpriced due to his UK location. You can get the same or better results if you travel abroad. HLC is also a great option but I regard @Dr. Bruno Ferreira better at donor management and he uses a smaller punch than HLC. Dr Arika at Eugenix is also great and for 1.8€/graft it’s really the most affordable quality Doc in the world doing a highly skilled technique DHT. However I consider Dr. BF and HLC to be superior because they both open the hole/slit and immediately implant the graft while with DHT at Eugenix they do pre-made slits that I’m not fond of because they immediately start to close after opened therefore the punch must be wider (this technique is used mostly by Doctors that just do the pre-made slits and then have the techs do the implanting). However, at Eugenix the pre-made slits stay open for a very small amount of time due their DHT technique (far superior to standard pre-made slits technique most Doctors use to avoid having their techs screwing up). If you can get Dr. Bisanga to do your surgery for 2.5€/graft that’s also great but I believe he charges 5€/graft like Dr. Lorenzo. The clinic in Athens charges 2.5€/graft but I don’t think you get Dr. Bisanga for that price and like all surgeries what matters is the Doctor doing the surgery.
  23. @Coady almost everyone at HRN will tell you that you should never believe what you see on facebook, YouTube and instagram because those results are either cherry picked or fake! If we want to see real results we have to check real patients posting real results! I did write that Cinik seems to have decent techs putting out decent results but are you sure everyone that goes to Cinik will get a good tech team? In reality anyone that goes to Cinik will be betting on their luck to get a good tech team doing their surgery because the Doctor has zero involvement in the surgery. In Turkey a technician is not required to have any medical background so you can have a former dishwasher doing your surgery. Therefore, I can’t recommend any of the several all inclusive Turkish hairmills like Cinik where surgeries are run by techs. Are you seriously comparing one of the best clinic in the world H&W to a low cost Turkish Doctor at 1€/graft like Yaman? Any amazing tech in the world would kill to work at H&W so they can always chose the best ones. Dr. Wong and Dr. Hasson are involved in the surgery so the results aren’t solely dependent on the amazing tech team they will always have working at H&W.
