  1. Woooww Balody you really love your country!! I really didn`t want to be to start such a hectic discussion as I should have know there would be a Farjo patient coming out to defend the UK. Balody It is totally true that in the UK Dr Farjo does a nice HT but he his the only one!!! I asked him for a quote and it was simply insane giving that pound was stronger at time. I advise all EU patients to get on a plane and go to: Rahal, Feller, HW and Shapiro cause they are simply the best and they cost half as much as Farjo. Also lets face it, Farjo is no Rahal or Feller or HW... Why settle for less?? Even if Farjo was the same price I still would have gotten on that plane, there would had to be at least a 25% difference for me to chose Farjo over any of those I mentioned! I`m now 25 with no money but I have an amazing hairline once again! Thanks Dr. Rahal
  2. I Live in London and I never even considered having my HT done in the UK. I got on a Plane to Canada and went with Dr.Rahal. Just so you know most really good Doctors like HW, Feller, Rahal and Shapiro spend a lot of time doing "Repair Jobs" and most of these repair jobs originate from the UK. So take this into account when considering doing an HT in the UK. With the value of the pound over the USD it will cost way less to have the HT in the US or Canada and we have Zoom Airline flying low cost to New York or Ottawa or Vancouver (Feller or Rahal or H&W). Cheers
  3. Thanks Thanatopsis_awry What do you think I should expect from these 3 month results? Will I get a very dense packed hairline?? Its been a tuff 3 months and august is coming up, when do you guys think I will have a cool hairdo again?
  4. Hello Everyone Just posted my 3 Month pictures both WET N Dry hair. Sorry for skipping a month but I was busy with masters exams. What do you guys have to say?!?!? Cheers.
  5. Hi Corkie, I am a 25 year old European and ultimatly choose to go with Dr. Rahal in Canada. So I flew from Lisbon to Paris and Paris to Montreal, plus a train to Ottawa to get my procedure done. I am telling it is worth it because if you go with a Top HT doctor you get TOP results. Try getting estimates and prices from: Dr Rahal, Dr Feller, Hasson and Wong and Dr Ron Shapiro then decide which one to go to. There are a few other Docs also very reputable but when I did my research I narrowed it down to these and went with Dr. Rahal cause of the amazing hairlines we see on his patient photos. Cheers.
  6. I agree one should be concerned at any age but can you imagine if there was this kind of quality HT when you were 25... If you had a high quality 3500graft HT at the age of 25 changing your entire frontal area maybe you would not be worrying about hair any more when you reached 35 or more cause you have lived a worry free life. Think about it... If one is in need of 3000+ grafts at the age of 25 just do it and start living the good life!
  7. Very true Bill, Europe does have good HT doctors but they either cost the same or are a bit more expensive than US or Canada doctors and I see better results on the Patient Photo Albuns from the Doctors I listed before than any other Doctors worldwide. So if the 5 major US and Canada Doctors give better results and cost as much or less why should we European settle for anything less...
  8. Very interesting question! I am using Rogaine 5% Liquid I got from ebay at 33US plus 19US to ship to UK. Was planning on getting foam when I ran out cause they say it does not make your hair all oily like the liquid. Doesn`t really matter now cause I just came out of an HT and I am buzzed, but will use it in 3 months time. You guys confirm that its better for the hair styling??
  9. Bon Tard mon ami! Je suis European aussi et j`habite en Portugal. If you are considering an HT I have to tell you to get on a plane and go to one of these Doctors: Dr.Rahal, Dr.Feller, Hasson and Wong, Dr. Ron Shapiro. You have no idea how many ppl have to go these Doctors cause of bad HT surgeries in Europe. I have just had an HT last March with Dr. Rahal and I flew from Lisbon to Paris and Paris to Montreal, then Caught a 1.5 hour Train to Ottawa. (in the end it turned out cheaper then going to Devroye, Farjo or Prohair in Europe). Check out the prices and estimates the US and Canada Doctors give and go to one, like I did so you can have the guarantee you will get amazing results. You can check out my results here: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/showthread.php?t=152718 Hope I have helped. Cheers
  10. Noelio, I only went bald after my HT cause they rebuild my entire frontal area and sure it looks uncool now but in another 2 months it will start to grow and it will all have been worth it. I think that for you they might not shave the whole frontal area cause your hair looks strongh in the front. I was wearing a hat for the first 3 weeks but then I just starting accepting my bald look and stop wearing it. Just get yourself a proper HT Doctor, imagine if you go bald for 3 months cause of the HT and afterwards you end up with poor results! That would kill me!! I know I am getting amazing results cause I went with Dr. Rahal I would definatly advise you to choose someone from my list. If you dont there is a chance you will have to choose them anyway to get a repair job (you never know). Cheers
  11. In case you don`t already know this, minoxidil is a basicaly something you use to promote the blood flow to the scalp hence promoting the strenght and growth of your hairs. Like I was told by Dr. Rahal, aAfter and HT you should use minoxidil at least during the 12 month so that your hairs come out quicker and strongher. I will stop using after 12 months and have been assured that transplanted hairs are not affected by stopping the usage of minoxidil. Hope this helps. Cheers.
  12. Very true Dewayne that is why I am not excluding the chance to undergo a second HT. But the most important for me is to feel good with myself now, when I am still young and very much in the game. Self confidence can help not only on a personal level but also on a professional one.
  13. Hi Noelio, I am also a 25 year old student and I had a HT with Dr Rahal last march! I flew all the way from Portugal to Canada to get my HT with one the worlds top surgeons, insted of going somewere in Europe and having to do a repair job afterwards. You have to ask yourself a question: If not now then when are you going to have a HT???... When you are 35 married and with children?? Who cares about hair then!!! If you want great hair NOW is the time to have it, when we are still in our Prime! Your hairloss looks kinda like mine and it seems they will rebuild the frontal zone like they did to me so count on at least 3000 grafts. You can check out my results here:http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/showthread.php?t=152718 I had hair in the front but Dr. Rahal said it was not going to last long so he decided to do the whole frontal area, this way if I got shock loss there would be no problem. I have seen very little shock loss because some of my original frontal hairs were strongh enough to come back I also went on Propecia but I have trouble with taking a pill everyday for the rest of my life so I stoped it! If you are like me and dont want to take supplements and drugs for the rest of life, just get off everything you are taking now and go in for and HT drug free. If you get drug free you will have some major shedding but that is your sistem getting back to normal and you will lose it anyways in the long run so it might as well just let it shed! After the HT the Doctor will advise you to go on Rogaine for 12 months to help the hairs grow and when you stop using it the effect will not be unnoticable because you have really strong hairs now. After 12 months you are drug free and with a great set of hair that will last forever and if we get bald in the back in the next 10 years we can just get another HT done or forget about it cause we will be 35 and married by then! I would advise to get prices from these doctors: Dr. Rahal, Dr. Feller, Hasson and Wong and Dr. Ron Shapiro. Ask for student prices and see who gives you the better deal. Hope I have helped! Cheers.
  14. Forget Indian Doctors you will end up needing to have a repair surgery. Go to either with: Dr. Rahal, Dr. Feller, Hasson and Wong or Dr Ron Shapiro. I went with Dr Rahal and travelled all the way from Portugal to Canada I suggest you do the same and choose one of these Doctors. Cheers
  15. Hello Guys! It has been one month since the glorious surgery and now it seems I have lost all my hair. I`m not sure if I have shock loss or if its just the lighting on the pictures. I am hoping to loose this bald look asap and have started on Rogaine 3 days ago, cause it took forever to get here from the US. What do you guys think? Is my evolution pretty standard so far or did I get some shock loss? And the waiting continues! Cheers everyone!
  16. Hello Guys! Stiches Out! Hair Buzzed my hair using a number 2 razor (maybe to little, what you guys think?). My scar seems nice, I don`t really know cause I am only looking at it from the pictures but my friends say its ok! Appreciate any comments you guys might have! Cheers.
  17. Yeap, 25 last October. Yeah it would be a reason to use it to keep your hair but after 7 days off Propecia you loose all you keept and more. When you want to have kids you have to get off it and remember we are talking about taking a pill every day for the rest of your life! Sorry but that is just not for me, even women get a break with Menopause. I will stick to my trusty Hair Transplant and will go back to Dr. Rahal if I need some more. As for Rogaine I will be using it only for 12 months and when my hair growns in I will swap to Rogaine Foam to avoid oiliness.
  18. I went on Propecia for almost 10 months but it was to hard to get used to take a pill every day and eventually I gave it up but when I did, I lost an insane aumount of hair. Will never use that stuff again! I used Rogaine but it keept making my hair looking oily and therefore showing off my baldness so I gave that up to. Gonna start Rogaine again for 12 months to increase blood flow and get my grafts growing faster. Wish you the best when you go for your transplant. Cheers.
  19. Thanks for the comments guys and I too hope this procedure works out giving me a stylish hairdo! Will be taking the stiches out this Wednesday after 12 days and giving the rest of my hair the buzz it needs! I have posted my 12 Day pictures and I don?‚??t know if they are any good but here`s hoping! Good for you too wait Jupiter as I did the same and still Dr. Rahal had to be ethical about my procedure due to my age. Thanks again for your comments!
  20. Hi, Already created a photo album on the Photo Albuns section. Check it out! Went to Post Op Consult today and although I have some sweling all looks good. Dr. Rahal was kind enough to drive me back to the hotel and stop at the Supermarket, the man is truly a caring and honest professional. Wish you the best! Cheers Portugal25
  21. Hello Everyone, After 4 years looking at this forum and others, I finally took the plunge and ultimatly decided with Dr. Rahal seeking to obtain those amazing hairline we see in his patient pictures. The initial estimate was 2500 then after the consult the Dr. bumped it up to 3000. With existing hair I ended up with up to 75graft/cm in front and: 642 - Ones 1975 - Twos 789 - Threes 19 - Fours Total: 3425 grafts/ 7035 hairs. Dr. Rahal is a true professional and really put me at easy during the procedure. He checked up on me the whole time and was allways a phone call away.
