  1. what is odd is in the first pic, you hair shafts look like telogen hair. (thin and less pigmented). in the second pic they look more like anagen hair (thicker and darker). Not sure if this is just an effect of the camera. Stress would cause telogen effluvium, but not sure why one would lose anagen hair if they truly are "anagen"
  2. yes that is a lot of hair loss it seems. you need a proper work up with a hair dermatologist. could be many different things.
  3. i speculate dut at 0.5 mg EOD would be more effective than 0.5mg finasteride daily. At the end of the day there are no head to head comparisons but I am speculating this based on hal life, as well at efficacy. If you are on the fence, a good neutral ground would be upping the fin dose to 1 mg daily and reserving dut for few years down the road if needed.
  4. Honestly I think this is a fail on a lot of points that are important in good surgical hair restoration 1. poor donor harvesting 2. poor graft utilization 3. mediocre growth. 4. poor surgical planning. 5. poor temple point density/ recreation Lot of turkey mills can put out this result.
  5. Oral minoxidil IS FDA approved for hypertension and been used for decades. So you can prescribe it for NON FDA approved indications based on physician discretion. Subq verteporfin is not been approved for any indications. only use has been IV and for optho purposes. Almost a surety u would get on the FDA's naughty list in USA if you try doing research like this.
  6. 1500 +/- 100 . you have good hair and this should be more than adequate. Can you plant more? Yes but it’s not needed and you want to achieve the best cosmetic improvement without being redundant.
  7. In the USA, to use a drug for research purposes the way it is being used here requires regulatory approvals. Otherwise doctors will be experimenting on people left and right without knowing the risks.
  8. Agreed. The surgical plan is not optimal. Hairline is too low.s way too many grafts used up, and the results are not spectacular. 5000 grafts in someone like you should make u look like Fabio.
  9. These doctors that are telling patients they have 13-16k grafts available by doing their voodoo excel sheet calculations need to put their money where their mouth is. I have yet to see a patient photo who have 16k follicular unit grafts in the donor area available to move. They create such unrealistic pictures in patients head, it’s criminal.
  10. Good luck. Hope it improves but right now doesn’t look good. May look better shaved
  11. They work, the hype disappeared cause fda crackdown on them in USA and Europe (their version of fda). Can’t be putting patients life in danger with out knowing safety issues
  12. Prp is safe. It’s your own cells. Efficacy depends, if you go to a legit doctor it should be legit prp, and then if u don’t get results then maybe it’s not for u. It does work for most people
  13. Don’t. We don’t know enough about them yet and they can possibly (speculative) cause diseases such as prion disease, ALS, etc. it interferes with the molecular mechanics at cellular level and we don’t have enough research yet.
  14. 15 is too early to have male pattern baldness. You need to go see a dermatologist
  15. Lol. Oral minoxidil definitely works. And is more effective than topical. No doubt about it, the only thing to discuss is the risks which are minimal but maybe worse than topical which has almost none.
  16. FUE may help with the raised skin, but it has the potential to leave scarring if not done well. Also it may require multiple sessions
  17. No. The closest you will find is the elite coalition on this website but even that is not perfect and I personally would not want some of the surgeons from that list touch me. However there are some really good surgeons on there so if you do your research you will select the right one.
  18. Definitely see improvement. Hopefully u r a slow grower like u said
  19. Well all valid questions u should have thought about before the hair transplant not after lol. if u didn’t feel comfortable you should have bounced.
  20. If you can’t trust the clinic to do the right thing you should have walked away. A large portion of the surgery relies on the patient trusting the doc and them doing what they said they did. I think it’s probably ur mind just being paranoid. They did ever they said they would. Most clinics wouldn’t have “prp” documentation.
  21. Out of the ones listed. I really like dr laorwong. He is not gonna be buddy buddy with you, but his work is super refined.
  22. Real prp is not snake oil. It works but just like finasteride your response may vary. There are two reasons for people calling it snake oil. First off there are a lot of low quality prp kits on the market. 2nd the response is variable. some surgeons do soak the grafts in prp. Not many but some do. They think it’s beneficial for the grafts. There are no good studies on this though.
