  1. Seems like it was an infection. Looks much better now. Growth may suffer but it is fixable with a second surgery. Don’t sweat it.
  2. Guys on this thread are confusing Dr Patty with Dr pathovich . SMH.
  3. Dr Laorwong. Always been impressed by your work. Can you tell what size punch were used for extraction. Also how many donor grafts do you estimate the patient still has after harvest 3200
  4. DHT inhibitors are not to be used during puberty. That is just common sense. i would think. unless you are MTF trans and dont care
  5. Tbh is it normal? . No; ideally the follicles looks unharmed. But even the best surgeon on the planet will have some j hairs and hooked follicles. It is what it is. You try to acheive perfection but know that perfection is impossible
  6. Use a product similar to wahls zero guard t-outliner, and outline it however u like. Most people with beard and moustache edge and line it to their liking. No one goes Around and examines the black dots. U r being over the top perfectionist. Ur photos look ok
  7. Lmao. Eloquently put. I agree with you as well. Dr hasson is good at what he does and no doubt has nothing to prove to anyone let alone some random internet nobodys. I just hate when someone tries to sugar coat a purely financially/ convenience driven move as “this is what’s best for the patient.”
  8. Its not about how it looks now (which is decent for the average person), but how it will look with time. how will this age? probably bad
  9. No one saying 100% of the time. All though in my opinion a surgeon should be in the OR majority of time. Organ transplant surgeries (liver, etc.) sometimes last 12+ hours, and doctors do take breaks during those surgeries too. But you dont feel a surgeon should visit with you at the end of surgery and debrief? You dont think they should be in the vicinity if anything happens medication side effect wise? such as pharmacological toxicity? Or you think its ok monitoring from home? i suppose i see it differently.
  10. Doug, I had a response typed up, but to be honest, it matters not to me how Dr Hasson runs his practice. I will defend the poster however saying nothing he posted was biased. In fact to me his results look great but this discussion is not about the results. What he experienced should not be something any patient should experience after any surgical procedure – cosmetic, or non cosmetic. It is still a surgical procedure requiring sedation and cutting of organ (skin is an organ). I understand when one has been doing it for 30+ years, it is easy to start taking it casually but that is when mistakes, near misses and adverse events occur. Lastly, you surely can’t compare your experience getting surgery at a place where you work to a patient coming in for the surgery. You know the team, you have been with them for (I am guessing) a large amount of years. You know the ins and outs, and there is a reason why you trust them. A better comparison would be imagine your family member going in for a comsetic surgery (at a clinic with who they do not have an association) and waking up without a doctor in sight. Only assurances that everything went ok. Can you honestly with a straight face tell me you would be cool with that? IF your answer is yes, then either you take surgeries too casually or you are lying. And I get it we are all busy...I am sure the guy that dropped 30 grand on a hair transplant has a busy demanding life...
  11. This thread is probably the most unbiased "dissapointed" thread I have read. The OP definitely seems like a high functioning level headed person. The representative points are all valid, and we all ready know Dr Hasson is well regarded with respect to his skill. I have a question for you though Rep. Tell me if you have ever had surgery/ procedures? Would you ever be ok with your doc getting a photo of the finished surgery and watching it from home or office and just giving an A-Ok based on a high resolution photo? Why dilute the honor of medical profession like that, and if you are going to do it at least let your patients know that the surgeon is sitting in his office and monitoring your surgery but wont be doing most of it.
  12. The thinning that happens in eyebrows seems to be related to age as opposed to hormones. Beards usually dont seem to thin. They just "grow" faster or slower based on androgens. Chest hair is similar to beard. Once hairy always hairy.
  13. No i started using minoxidil two weeks after surgery. No problem. If u r that worried try the foam, it is “less drying”
  14. What’s really surprising is your immediate post op photos look good. I would have expected a good result. your donor is exceptional. If you go to a quality surgeon for your second operation, you will be very happy with your results.
  15. at first glance density doesnt look good. who was your surgeon? and how many grafts/?
  16. Can you please expand on this? there are some doctors that claim to be extracting with 0.75 and i have always been surprised by this, specially if they are extracting 3s and 4s with this. does that mean its not a true 0.75 most likely?
  17. There are a few things about Dr. Zarev that concern me a bit. This is not to knock him at all, but just some potential red flags. His last IG post is from January. For a doctor that is as busy as is claimed, with supposedly stellar results, the last shown result is in January? (now granted he is so busy and good, that he is not concerned about showcasing his work anymore, which can be a resonable reason). The other thing that concerns me is lack of any magnification while extracting or placing. Unless the guy is an alien, no human being can conclusively see a hair follicle thickness in micrometers clearly. It is like running a 2 minute mile. Body is just not capable of it. Now it is possible that maybe he is going by feel? In which case sure you don’t necessarily have to see it just feel it. But still good vision I would think is important to surgery. Before After results from clinics are like tinder photos. Everyone is posting their “best home run” and reality may be very different when you actually become a patient. If there are consistent Zarev results that are as good as the ones on his IG and as Hugo, then I am willing to start considering him in the top tier of doctors. But so far it seems like he has not been approachable to discuss his techniques more clearly... or share his average results ..
  18. Results good. Wish he had more interaction where he answered questions and bit more post op photos. But if just talking about results based on here and IG then yeh he is good 👍🏽.
