  1. Look up this guy named magnificent Al on YouTube. Dr Konior did his HT and his hairline is awesome. I think he posts on here too:
  2. I really like https://hairtransplantnetwork.com/dr-kongiat-laorwong I would feel comfortable going to him for a HT. he is in thailand
  3. I have read bout this, but never pursued it. I am too scared of "scarring" etc. But some of the results I have seen are amazing. How safe is microneedling long term. How painful is it? Do you guys have any personal before and afters you can share?
  4. for females it is a good idea. for males its questionable. It can be considered if you have absolutely no male pattern baldness genetics but that is hard to predict as most guys have some degree of MPB. Dr Nadimi at Chicago Hair Institute is well known for this type of surgery. She may not even consider you if you are a male, but worth checking with her.
  5. That is a large number of grafts. How is the back of the head feeling? when possible can you post some clear shots of your FUT incision, and do you by chance happend to know the dimenstions of the strip that was taken out.
  6. so this and the weed thread type of posts are what i need to make to get my post count up from 40 and be taken "seriously." Ironic. 🤣. There are no elite British doctors. I don't really care for you Shiba with your 40 comments, if you don't like my comments (all of which follow the forum rules mind you) I encourage you to block my profile. You won't be missed 👌
  7. A proper 2000 graft harvest, shouldn’t leave your donor looking like that, specially in someone with your hair type.
  8. Yes moth eaten appearance = over harvest. Either they took more than 2000, to get 2000 or used larger punches. what was the reputable clinic? You speak of.
  9. There is just no possible way creatine causes DHT increase. Creatine work on ATP and energy cycle. I searched pubmed. There is just one study on rugby players. It does show a dramatic increase in DHT. The study lacks a control group of players that are taking creatine but do not do any workouts. It makes more sense that the DHT increase is from working out than creatine. The study seems suspect. having said that even if a bit of doubt, don't take it. OR measure your own DHT levels before starting and then measure it again in 14 days and then at 28 days to see the trend.
  10. Why does creatine cause elevated test and elevated DHT. There is absolutely no mechanism I can comprehend that can cause this. If working out and getting stronger elevates your test levels will you give that up for your hair. What is next castrating yourself to keep hair? Creatine is the only proven legal, safe aid to improve your strength, which will in turn lead to more hypertrophy. It is not needed for lifting of course. But if you are in elite level and want that extra boost I would not think twice about using it. I dont know if it is getting old or what, but in my late 30s creatine gives me about 15% boost in my strength. It also makes cardio "easier." it is definitely noticeable.
  11. Your blanket categorization on multiple doctor skill set levels (on this and other threads) is ridiculous for someone that has never ever worked in the field. The way you talk, one would think you are the worlds leading authority on hair transplant surgeons. Maybe your research has made you seem like you are, but believe me you ARE NOT. The rash of recent threads you have created regarding "if xyz can effect your HT?" just highlights your lack of knowledge. I urge you to be a bit more judicious in your opinion.
  12. Hi Arochaangel, that is pretty neat. How have your results been for actual scalp hair with regards to PRP alone. Do you know what concetration prp do you guys utilize? (6x baseline, 10x baseline) so on?
  13. besides its not an all or nothing, if planned carefully a black man on finasteride who has a transplant at 24 will still most likely be able to have good hair in 40s.
  14. Yes. Dr Cooley is good at his craft. you will be fine. Most of these old posters are right. you probably WILL care about your hair in your 40s. BUt nobody else can set your priorities with 100% certainty. If you really think you wont maybe you are that rare bird that really wont. Who knows. Do what makes you happy. live your life. You make your bed, you lay in it. Dont let anyone discourage you .. Just listen to every advice but at the end make your own informed decision.
  15. Go with thailand. both the doctors mentioned above have consistent good/ great results.
  16. Please recommend some SMP artists in or near Chicago. thank you.
  17. there are lots of medications, that initially discovered for one reason, end up being used for another down the road. Latisse is one that comes to mind, I believe it was initally approved for glaucoma, but then they realized side effect of long eye lashes, and now used cosmetically for longer eye lashes, and some trials even for male pattern baldness.
  18. do what you got to do brother. No skin of my back whether u take it or not. you asked a question, and I was giving you the facts. You can have and keep your opinion but its wrong. I dont take it myself, not cause it is not effective but there is a small potential for side effect, and I will not take anything that can cause side effects for a cosmetic reason such as hair loss.
