Is a HT sensible in my position ?
botchedguy95 replied to Antonio Piroso's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Judging by your photos you are heading into NW7 territory, you can see the miniaturisation in your lower crown and lateral humps.. if you do not take medication and have a transplant now likely even a lot of the transplanted hairs will fall out because the safe zone is actually very small for you.. You will regret it deeply in only a couple of years and no ethical doctor in the world would do surgery on someone so young with this type of hair loss that has not been on fin for at least 1-2 years- 11 replies

Another ASMED victim, I'm sorry this was done to you mate. To be honest I would try some different hair styles and add fibers into your daily routine, have you tried a side part? If you only have 3000 grafts left it would be crazy not to jump on medication asap, a lot of your "safe area" will likely miniaturise and fall out if you don't, especially the lower part of your crown and lateral humps, and you look very young, keep in mind you will care just as much about your hair when you are in your 40s and 50s as you do right now, maybe even more!

I hear you mate and I agree that we should not spread doubt and fear, and of course OP should wait for the full 12 months, but since the trajectory of this result doesn't seem to match what we are used to from eugenix it would be nice to get some comment from them, even if that comment is that beard grafts have a longer telogen phase..

Insane that this is only 7 months.. really difficult case too because of the retrograde alopecia but the end result is seriously a work of art, congrats mate

Asmed | Dr. Koray | 12 October 2022 | 5200 graphs
botchedguy95 replied to PatientHT5020's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
OP is it possible to get more high resolution images from the clinic? I know they take pictures in a studio setting with a very expensive camera, yet somehow the images they give you are just blurry enough so that you can't zoom in to count the grafts, if I were you I would demand the higher resolution images so we can ger an idea about how and where the grafts were placed, because judging by your starting point i have a really hard time understanding how they fit 5000 grafts around your existing hair. -
Why in gods name would you go to ASMED these days, even in Turkey there are several clinics that are far safer and more ethical at similar price points...

Mate all those places you listed, ASMED, Cosmedica etc are hair mills.. I don't know why they lied to you but there is no way Erdogan is involved in your surgery even with the premium package, maybe he draws on the hair line in 5 minutes and sends you on your way to his army of unnamed techs.. Check Bicer, FUEcapilar, Pekineer, HLC for much better and more ethical clinics in Turkey Check Pinto, Ferreira, Ximena Villa for relatively cheap but fantastic clinics in europe And finally Eugenix in India is doing great work, they are very popular here currently Just erase ASMED and Cosmedica from your head

5297 grafts at ASMED, Dr. Koray Erdogan
botchedguy95 replied to redlord's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I know the feeling bro, imagine if we had found the forums when Eugenix was popular instead of ASMED we would be sitting here with well designed, natural and dense hairlines.. Not only do they flush your grafts down the toilet, they wreck the bloodflow in the recipient so it will take even more grafts than usual to get a decent result So if 2500 grafts at an ethical clinic gives you a good result ASMED regularily quotes 3500 for the same area and botches it Now it will likely take 5000 or more grafts in total to get a 2500 graft result at an ethical clinic -
Dr. Konior | FUE ~2250 grafts | 38M | May 2022

Nothing to see here guys, just Konior producing another godlike result -
5297 grafts at ASMED, Dr. Koray Erdogan
botchedguy95 replied to redlord's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I would have gone with Bicer, pekineer, FUEcapilar if it has to be Turkey But even better would be to try to get on the wait list of brino Pinto, ximena villa or bruno ferreira who have similar prices You are a good friend to not blindly recommend ASMED to him -
A perfect victim for the Turkish hair mills, such a shame, if only OP could feel a hint of the despair guys with botch transplants from the Turkish hair mills he listed he would drop any notion of "trying to get it before summer" To OP, you are talking about having great hair for this summer, well try to imagine having an unnatural, pluggy and low density hairline for ALL summers to come

NW6 | FUE HLC Ankara | 5165 Grafts | May 2022

Wow, I love the design, did they get over 1100 grafts from the beard? Where did they take it from? Your beard looks untouched! -
NW 6, two HT needed, Honest opinion, Turkey
botchedguy95 replied to VAL.'s topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
It's so goddamn stupid looking at it now, but 4 years ago this was my exact way of thinking when I went to Turkey and got botched, "I'll just pop over there and get it done in a jiffy".. Now, 4 years later I am awake at 3am on a work day because i can't sleep, because I keep replaying that moment when I was sitting in the clinic with a bad feeling in my gut and didn't just stand up and leave, because in a few hours I will have to get ready for work and try to hide this poorly designed and pluggy hairline and this overharvested donor, because every time I look in the mirror I know I will never have a half decent results as my precious grafts were flushed down the toilet, my best recourse is just shaving it off and living with the scars in the back of my head Goddamn this industry and these criminal bastard surgeons that exploit guys and ruin their lives I hope you read this OP because you still have a chance to not ruin your life -
Dr Bruno Ferreira (1st appointment)
botchedguy95 replied to Alex94gasp's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Exciting, he is wonderful, truly an ethical doctor and I wish every day i had done more research and went with him for my first surgery.. it would have changed my life compared to the botching I got in Turkey.. OP you have made a good choice with ferreira, from what I can tell his hairlines and surgical protocol is immaculate, also the hairline design looks fantastic -
Asmed Hair Transplant Apr 2022 (~5,000 grafts)
botchedguy95 replied to IMM1979's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Well, the clinic uses unethical means of silencing unhappy patients, threats with lawyers and blaming the patient for poor results, as well as the number of surgeries a day to maximize profits If you feel confident to go with ASMED I won't try to stop you mate, but objectively you are making a poor choice based on bad research.. I advise you to look at the results of tech involved clinics like eugenix and de freitas, even bisanga uses techs and they are consistent in their results, asmed is like playing roulette.. on this forum there are two relatively recent results from ASMED with unacceptable growth and donor management.. many more on the international forums where this clinic has a presence still But again, best of luck to you mate, if I were you I would look at Bicer or FUEcapilar in Turkey. Similar price point but the doctor is involved throughout the surgery -
Eugenix my doubts
botchedguy95 replied to crashbash's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Could you point me to these failures? I have seen some shoddy donor work from them but no outright failures as in low survivability or unnatural looking hairlines -
Do you have any recent pictures of the recipient as well as the donor mate? I have to say the response from the Dr was really disappointing, it gives me red flags when they refuse to admit fault.. I wish the mods would press them for some proper answers here as I was considering them for my repair because I love their hairline designs and it seems at least in most cases they produce really nice results.. so what the hell happened here??
