  1. Well if I have to be completely honest I can't do these styles anymore because 1. The punch holes from the donor would be visible (I have a bit of a pattern at the back) and 2. My left temple looks horrendous. I've tried it and here are some pictures. The right temple looks amazing but the left won't co-operate. In your case if your donor extraction is spaced apart well and the angulations match I don't see why you won't be able to rock it.
  2. You guys continue to impress with patient post care support. Kudos!
  3. Sad to see this drama unfold. I think @AJ_HT presented his case in a very level headed manner - which isn't easy as a patient when you are 3 surgeries into your HT journey with little results. I think we as a community should be far more understanding and supportive, all I see in this thread are posts geared towards nudging the blame towards him. I'm a Eugenix patient myself and I think the clinic did what they can, and if Dr Sethi did a touch up himself, you'd know they did what they possibly could to make the patient happy. Free surgeries in India are very rare. Sadly in this case I think OP isn't just a good candidate. The recipient has taken a beating, and like someone said, he should've waited a full 12 months (or atleast should've been advised by the clinic to wait longer) - perhaps he could still do a last attempt after a year or so. When posts like this are made in public forums things obviously get complicated. What we see now is simply damage control by admins and other posters. Also, that messaging censorship was shady AF.
  4. Sorry I took a while to get back to you guys. Being an immigrant isn't easy in the first year and all my efforts were focused on building my life in a foreign land. Its been 15 months now since I've had the surgery at Eugenix, and it has been a worthy investment and I've been happy about my results. I'm going to break down everything for prospective patients here. When I was one, I knew how hard it was to find dependable reviews and feedback to rely on and make a decision. Hairline I honestly believe Dr. Arika is probably among the best in the world for hairline design. She's done a fabulous job on me and I couldn't be happier. She was very swift throughout the whole process and gave me an age appropriate hairline. Go to her with your eyes closed if you ever have to get a hairline job done. Temples I know I made a huge fuss about temple angulations earlier in my post. On a high level, I was happy with how the right temple was done and not so happy with the left. The solution to that was to simply grow out the hair and comb them. After a certain length it is impossible to tell the difference in angulations from a granular level. When grown out, I am very happy with the result. However, I do miss my fade cuts. It's something I cannot do as it becomes very apparent that I've gotten a transplant, especially when someone looks at my left temple. This is something I wish I didn't have to deal with as getting haircuts are hard as barbers always take a good look at your sides and most of the times I see them wondering what the hells going on with my hair. There's no going back with this. I just cannot afford to go below guard 3 despite having done only 1.3k grafts. 🥲 Donor More or less happy with it but a pattern can be observed when faded out with guard 2. Ideally I wished it could've been more spaced out and evenly distributed. But that's the thing about transplants isn't it? Not everything turns out ideally in the end and we must keep in mind that at the end of the day the cosmetics industry is very business oriented. They have to balance the amount of time they spend on each patient with economics. No other way about it. The Techs They were all very warm and well trained, and they've done this day in and day out. Felt safe in their hands but I feel the clinic mixes up senior techs with junior techs. Sometimes, you could see the difference in skill when they're working on you. Personally it didn't translate into a difference in results for me, but I came across a few cases on this forum where it did. The Clinic I was treated very well and the whole thing was a smooth ride. I wish I could've spent more time with Dr Arika prior to my surgery, probably to further customize my temples, but she's a very busy woman and does her job really well. I'd suggest them to provide a little more time to patients in the drawing room and specifically discuss angulations, or whatever they are worried about, perhaps. Overall, I am very impressed at the rate Eugenix have grown and at the scale of operations. It's quite an achievement that they've managed to maintain quality standards despite operating on multiple patients a day and in multiple locations. I don't see a lot of other clinics or individuals accomplishing what they've done. I'd recommend this clinic easily for anyone sheerly based on the immense talent Dr. Arika has. I've attached some pictures and you're all welcome to ask me questions. My future Hair Journey I almost forgot to share this. Dr. Arika has been in touch with me throughout the journey and she almost immediately replies to all my texts. Sadly, I have a case of retrograde alopecia, something that Dr. Sethi warned me about a year prior to my surgery and I didn't really pay much heed to him. The nape of my neck is slowly beginning to fade (Dr. Arika made an excellent design choice by avoiding this area) along with certain sections of my temples, such as above my ears. God knows what I'll look like in 10 years time.
  5. Incredible result! Very happy for you. Also love the post op pixtures. Very clean.
  6. How's it going now? The work as usual looks stellar from Dr. Arika (I think she's one of the best when it comes to hairline design), and the right side of head has come out well, but the tech who operated on your left side may have gotten the direction of the follicles wrong. Atleast, that's what it looks like from the picture you've posted. @MazAB is right when he says that the Dr. who's making the incisions can't get it wrong, and the techs simply have to place the grafts in, but they STILL need to get the direction of the curl right. You can easily see that the implanted hair on your right side all curl downwards, perfectly. Not so the case on the left side. Some of those grafts curl upwards away from the skin in erratic manner and don't follow the pattern of your native hair. That's because you had two different techs working on you at the same time and there's obviously a difference in skill. Or maybe one of them was just having a bad day. Unfortunately, there's always that sort of risk associated with transplants. The hair would obviously grow out and you can mask it with existing hair but there would be limitations on how you'd be able to style it. You'd have to style it one particular way. There's no point in worrying about it now and you've obviously moved on! I hope your shedding phase is over
  7. Sorry I haven't been able to update this thread in the last few months. I've been really busy with life. I'm very happy with the results and it's amazing how the doctors at Eugenix have managed to scale up their operations and still maintain consistent quality. Dr. Arika is truly a very talented surgeon who's been in touch with me since my surgery. She's been a text away whenever I've had to ask something. Might go back to her to add a few more grafts on the frontal hairline and fill in the beard a bit next year. I've attached some pictures but I'm sure you guys would need some pictures of the temples too, so I'll get those up as soon as possible.
  8. They both shed around the same time. To be completely precise, I was extra careful not to apply any sort of pressure on the recipient area so even though the grafts shed at the root level, they were attached to the skin and didn't dislodge until one day in the shower (around 1 month mark) I kinda wiped them off. However I think shedding rates have no impact on the final outcome. If you're at the 1 month mark I'd say sleep it off for another 4 months. I constantly worried about my procedure until only last week or so when I noticed significant improvements. Wasn't an easy ride.
  9. Hello. 140 odd grafts on the right temple and 242 on the left temple. Shedding began post 1 month.
  10. Quick interim update at 5.5 months: Thickening up nicely now. Hopefully this will continue right till the end!!
  11. Bro! Wait till you get to the 5th and 6th month! This will be atleast 30%-40% better than what you see now. You probably will see some magic happen too - the 6th month is when things started looking up for me.
  12. Yes, the temples on my right are just perfect and I'm very happy about it. The left is a tad better than it was before, however I still do not like the angulations and the way its been planned (just the left). I'll probably post more pictures soon. Looking forward to more growth on the front now.
  13. A quick 5 month update. Hopefully the hairline will grow denser this month. Been on 3mg/week Fin, the usual. Hope everyone is doing okay.
  14. Hang in there bro. Growth has been slow for me as well. Especially on the right side. But I'm sure things will get better.
  15. Hey guys Its soon going to be 4 months since my HT and there is growth, but only today I noticed a bump (Surface Irregularity) on the left side of my hairline. The area feels numb too. I don't recall seeing this or feeling this before (did I miss it?) but it exists. I don't know what it is and what to do about it. Looking for answers.
  16. 107 Days (3.5 Months) Update My temples seem to have more or less grown in, however, when compared with each other the difference is stark. The right temple seems to be just perfect at the moment. I can hardly differentiate the transplanted area from my natural region. The angulations given by the tech seems to have blended in quite well for 3.5 months. The left temple in contrast, unfortunately, doesn't seem to have been planted with the same level of skill or care - I am not sure. The angulations are wayward, sometimes the hair poke out perpendicular to the skin and the entire area looks very unnatural and messy so far. The good news is that there seems to be some growth happening at the moment. Bad news is that I am not at all happy with my left temple as the overall look of it continues to worsen as my hair grow.
  17. Hey mate, how's it going? Would love to see an update.
  18. Second this. Was following this thread closely. Would love an update now.
  19. Donor seems to have healed well, although the hairs at the back are now long. I'll have to give it a fade trim, probably 2 or 3 guard and take pictures. I'll post some soon. For sure. So sorry about this confusion. Yes it is a 3 month update.
  20. 90 Days (3 Months) Update I hope you're all doing well. I'm sorry I've kept busy, and hence couldn't update on a more regular basis. It's still early and I don't have any new growth yet, grafts that didn't shed seem to have grown longer for now. I'm hoping to see some magic happen in the next 2 months. The right temple seems to be taking shape alright, the left, I'm not sure yet and honestly it's too soon to say anything. Been on 3mg/week fin. Some protein powder and stuff like that. I've attached some pictures in bedroom lighting. I know they're not the best but I'll get DSLR quality in the future as we hit the crucial months. Time flies by, and I'm keeping positive. Hope to see you all next time with new hair. I'll ping Dr. Arika shortly with the update as well.
