  1. Okay. Let me phrase it in a more understandable manner. I have written in my post that: 1. Minoxidil is not really necessary or mandatory. Unlike Finasteride. 2. Minoxidil has to be left at least 2 months to a month prior to the procedure to prevent excessive oozing of blood. 3. Since Minoxidil is alreadt being discontinued with the purpose of preventing oozing of blood, the hair grown due to Minoxidil does shed off. It gives an idea of which areas are really bald since most of the vellus hair shed off with that period. 4. I am not implying that minoxidil is bad. It is just not important. I have not used Minoxidil since my procedure and have seen no requirement to use it. I use Finasteride and it is sufficient for me. If someone wants to use Minoxidil then its their prerogative. 5. I have written this according to my personal experience with the use of minoxidil for 5 years prior to the procedure, leaving it 2 months prior to the procedure and my experience with not using it after the procedure. 6. If you wanna use Minoxidil, then go ahead. Use it. But its neither necessary nor mandatory. Finasteride is necessary. I want to be as objective as possible in my comments. I have seen multiple people leave Minoxidil and exprience no requirement to use it again. I don't want people with questions about Minoxidil thinking that its a must have. Its optional. A lot of the clinics mandatorily prescribe medications because they have their own brands and yes they profit from it. But Finasteride is the only medication that can be "necessary" if a person is okay to take it. Prp, minoxidil, multivitamins, mesotherapy, laser etc have minimal roles and most times can be ignored. I hope this helps understand what I'm trying to say.
  2. A lot of our patients do use Minoxidil. But when someare allergic to it then they leave it. They don't experience anytjing negative when they leave it. Minoxidil might be helpful for many but it is not mandatory. Thats all I wanted to highlight.
  3. Wow. How disappointing that you are so confident about your false beliefs. Maybe my post is misunderstood. I don't mean Minoxdil is bad. Please have a look at my explanation below.
  4. It also is important so that there is no excessive oozing during the procedure.
  5. Obviously you require a transplant procedure. Finasteride can be helpful for the hair.
  6. Lets all understand this for once. Not everybody has to have the same opinions or beliefs. If someone does not agree with your statements, its okay. Its not mandatory for everyone to believe what you believe.

But its completely wrong to disguise disrespectful behaviour under the guise of debate.

As educated people, thats the least that is expected from an individual in a civilised society.

  7. We usually give a 2 month period prior to the procedure to leave Minoxidil. 2 months are more than sufficient.
  8. Woah. Hey. Lets be civil and not go around using words like bullshit. Thats not cool. Secondly, my opinions are different from yours and I see no reason why you should have to be so much aggrevated because I believe differently than you. I think a respectful dialogue would be more appreciated in future. You are entitled to your opinions and me to mine. I don't deserve to be spoken to that way by any of you.
  9. Well. We advise patients to leave Minoxidil at least a month prior to the procedure because Minoxidil causes increased blood flow and hence there is extra oozing of blood during the procedure. Using Minoxidil or not after the procedure is completely an individual choice. Personally I left Minoxidil after using it for 5 years and have seen no such gaps as mentioned by you. Also have not seen that in any of the patients. Monoxidil has withdrawel effects which means losing all the hair gained by it once you stop it. Also, leaving Minoxidil prior to the procedure gives a chance for the hair caused by it to fall off giving a clear picture of the empty areas.
  10. The prices in the US are so expensive. I can't even begin to imagine how people there afford to have medical care without insurance. And cosmetic surgeries aren't covered by insurance. People pay a bomb for cosmetic procedures. I've heard that it is even more expensive in the UK for cosmetic procedures.
  11. Amazing. Where were the donor grafts taken from? Would love to see some pictures also. Do you have any before, immediate and after pictures of the area where the body hair were transplanted?
  12. Well. You can visit exprienced surgeons and take their advice in person regarding the donor. Each person's donor looks different. Hence, it would be better to see whether there really is thinning or not.
  13. 1000 grafts are quite less. If taken discreetly from a distributed area then the absence of hair will not be visible at all. And the use of sharp and fine punches will ensure micrscopic scarring. If the extraction from the donor was more then there would definitely be a difference when sporting a fade cut hairstyle.
  14. The results of Finasteride cannot be judged within such a short time period. Keep using it for at least a year. You don't have donor thinning. Your hair is wet. Everybody's hair looks thinner when wet. For diffused hair loss pattern, the plantation is done in the areas where there is sufficient distance between the native hair to avoid any form of damage.
  15. Even I am not a big fan of Minoxidil. Everything about its application, routine and the results: seem so unimportant. I know that it can be helpful but I'm not at all a big fan of it. Plus when you leave Minoxidil, the withdrawel effects include losing all the hair grown due to it.
  16. Hey. It is not as effective as the pill but it can be helpful. You can place an order on info@farmaciaparati.it after you send them a prescription. We also have topical finasteride available in India but apparently liquid material cannot be couriered. .
  17. The beard hair might evolve with a little significance with regards to taking on the recipient characterstics. Even in patients who have had a beard donor used (after a significant amount of time) exhibit coarse calibre. When a person runs his hands through his hair, the difference in the scalp and beard hair can be felt.
