  1. Hey! Thanks for the reply and the info. I actually already knew about the final result thing and the 3/4 month growth thing. What I was basically asking is if there is any risk of going to the toilet in a bar with some grafts and then coming back with them all having fallen out (for example). I see the answer is no though so all good.
  2. Looks ok to me. Photo 2 looks natural and that's how people in the street will see you
  3. I didn't know you don't take fin either Melvin. How many grafts did you have done and how many was your total donor capacity calculated to be?
  4. When patients have shock loss around the scar on an FUT procedure, what are the main causes? Is it surgeon skill? Luck? Genetics? Some physiological characteristic? I know what shock loss but I do not understand why some people get it and some do not and amongst those that do, why some have it bad and some not so bad. I imagine somebody is going to say all of these suggested factors, which will not be helpful at all, but if anybody has any inputs, that would be great. Thanks!
  5. Why not have a consultation with a few doctors now? They don't cost anything and you will be much better informed.
  6. Yes. I am looking forward to the consultation. When you say you are fed up with the current result, do you mean you are satisfied with it? I'd be happy too. Enjoy!
  7. @Gasthoerer Thanks for the reply and the information. You are correct about Switzerland being like Germany regarding the photos. The hairline and the density in the frontal third is what I care most about for my first procedure because that's the bit people see. As I have mentioned in other threads, I do not care about getting my 18 year old hairline back but I am not taking medication either so I need to tread the fine line between something aesthetically pleasing i.e. not as conservative and donor management i.e. conservative. I have emailed Hattingen. I may go for a visit depending what they get back to me with. I have consultations with the three doctors you mention at the end of this month. Exciting times!
  8. Thank for the reply @TheGman. Much appreciated. I have heard of Hattingen before. I think @Gasthoererrecommends them a lot. The problem is, I haven't seen any of their work online at all. You can't even access the gallery on their website. When you say they are the best, do you mean in absolute terms or the quality price ratio (as you mentioned Feriduni is expensive). Where and what have you seen that makes you think they are so good? If money was no object, who would you go to - Feriduni or Hattingen?
  9. See a doctor in person and see how many grafts you have. If you have a lot, you may not have to use meds. I am not sure if you will have enough to get away with that though.
  10. Looks good so far. Clean work and you have healed fast. Almost no redness after 3 weeks. Do you have any pictures of the donor and the crown? That is a very conservative hairline and actually, the work post-op doesn't match with the hairline drawn pre-op. I think it will make a massive improvement when it is done though.
  11. What else do you want to know? Look on Youtube of the set-up for the surgery. The lines they draw on the scalp in the donor area for the strip extraction are not symmetrical. They draw them according to your laxity and to get the most amount of grafts out.
  12. Hi @Dr. Jean Devroye - great result. Can I ask, why does the FUT scar appear longer on the patient's left side than his right side? Was this a laxity issue? I don't suppose there is a pic of his scar now to see how it has healed? Not his donor but the scar itself?
  13. Hi all, Which clinics are the best clinics for FUT in Europe? I am in the process of visiting clinics in person over this month and the next. Thanks
  14. Where are you based? Europe? Just go to any accident and emergency room now and tell them you need antibiotics. Free and easy.
  15. Out of the ones you have mentioned, I would only go to H&W. Never seen a bad result and they are FUT specialists who also do great scars. I wish they were based in Europe. I would not go with Dr Diep. I have seen some things on this forum that make me think he is not ethical.
  16. Again, wait longer and save up more money or get fewer grafts. Do not sacrifice quality for a few (*insert monetary unit of choice here*)
  17. Do what I plan to do and just FUE the scar when you exhaust the donor for FUT procedures. You can also SMP the scar. Lots of options.
  18. They adjust it. Very few people, if any, will be the same all across their scalp. Do not worry! You are normal. Who are you looking at going with and why FUT over FUE?
  19. Understandable. Thanks for coming back to answer though!
  20. I am not mentioning anything. I am just referring to what the poster above my message with you tagged into it said. I have no idea who he is referring to. I do not think it is Gentel Man because I have been following that thread and also it is a relatively new one. Judging from what Crankyhair said, this post should be from 2016 (as Cranky posted in March 2017 and he said a post from last year)
  21. Thanks. Let's see what @crankyhair has to say if he logs on
  22. @Bill - Managing Publisher any reason why this would have disappeared? I am sure @crankyhair won't connect to say which result he is referring to.
