  1. It is a great result. I have a consultation with Dr Feriduni at the end of this month. I am glad you had FUT as that is what I want (I think). Are you think of getting another done? I don't think you need to but you could and it would look amazing.
  2. Looks good and the hairline looks good but hard to judge how good a final result this is because there are no before photos. The right temple up close appears to be less dense than the left one. Do you intend to get the crown done?
  3. Another option for Turkey is Dr Keser. Not recommended on here but does all his own work. Might also be out of your price range but see above.
  4. Save up and wait another 6-12 months then OR go for a lesser number of grafts now and go back again in the future. Quality, not quantity. Do not make your decisions based on price.
  5. This is exactly what I thought when I saw the pictures. I am (a lot) more than slightly skeptical though. I think this was not a good idea at 20 and using grafts in the beard too. When I read the original post, I assumed he meant he had taken grafts from the beard. You definitely need to get on medication ASAP. I don't take it myself but you have forced your own hand by doing this. You can't afford any loss now. What did the doctor say was your overall donor count? Do you have a picture of the donor?
  6. Hi @Dr. Glenn Charles Thanks for your reply. Dr Lupanzula does offer both. I don't have fine hair and my donor has about 9,000 grafts with FUE according to Dr Lupanzula in an in-person consultation. I want FUT to get the most out of my donor. I don't care about the scar and will get FUE put into it anyway. I have several other in-person consultations this month with the other main Belgian doctors and Dr Feriduni.
  7. You take them as a tablet like a supplement and they digest excess fibrin in the body. Fibrin is what makes scar tissue. You have to wait until the wound has fully healed because otherwise it can interfere with your body's ability to close the wound. But it should, in theory, then reduce massively the scar that forms. Google it for more information.
  8. Anybody used them? What do we all think of them? Could be a good way to reduce scarring, especially important for FUT. Any thoughts?
  9. Hello! Does anybody know if Dr Lupanzula's FUT is of good quality? Can anybody direct me towards any cases of his? I went for a consultation with him and he recommended me to get FUE but I think I want FUT because I am not on meds and FUT will be better for the amount of grafts that can be squeezed out of my unfortunately finite donor. I have another consultation with him at the end of the month and want to know if he will consider doing FUT but I want to see his FUT cases before I agree to anything, assuming he will do it. Any help would be much appreciated
  10. Thanks for the replies! So it seems the process starts within 4 weeks of the procedure. Once the process of shedding starts, how long before it completely sheds? A few days? A few hours? Melvin has suggested a few days but also suggests it may be different for other people (so could it be just a few hours for some people?).
  11. Hello! How does the transplanted hair shed after a transplant and after how long? Do all the transplanted hairs fall out at once? Is it scattered and if so, over how many days?
  12. Not really. The guy probably has a life outside of this forum. Family, friends, job, partner etc. Anything could have happened.
  13. Very long vacaction! It has been a bit less than 2 months now. His loss anyway. It makes narrowing my short list down easier if there are fewer doctors on the list to begin with. Feriduni's clinic has always been awful at getting back to me, irrespective of the time of year.
  14. Best answer yet! Thanks a lot. This makes sense. Out of the doctors in Belgium, who in your opinion does the best hairlines?
  15. My hairline is already a bit low, according to Dr. Lupanzula, at 7.5cm. This is such a tough decision for my first surgery because it is the frontal 3rd I want to focus on and I want the hairline to be right!
  16. Thanks for the reply. I don't suppose you could either post his email address here or send it to me via inbox could you please?
  17. I don't mean flat/straight per se. I mean with solid lines as opposed to "daggered" ones.
  18. Hi! Has anybody managed to get a reply from Dr Mwamba's clinic? I sent them a message on their website's messaging system about 6 weeks ago and still no reply. Is he just rubbish at communication, like Feriduni's clinic, or should I re-send an email?
  19. Great result and great scar! I wish Dr. Wong was in Europe.
  20. To counter Jean's post - shockloss does grow back and you can easily FUE into the scar at a later date if you want to shave the hair down. Having a thin scar on the back of your head doesn't have to be the death penalty it was years ago. Even if the scar does stretch, then you can have scar revision. If you go for a like-for-like surgeon i.e. comparing a top FUT surgeon with a comparably top FUE one, there won't be much difference in the side effects except that 1) the transection rate is lower for FUT meaning more and healthier grafts from the extraction in that particular procedure and 2) more grafts over the lifetime of the donor i.e. you can go back for surgery more times. You can also ensure you get grafts only from the "sweet spot" with FUT whereas that is much more difficult for FUE if you want any kind of yield. This means less chance of the hairs falling out in the future. I think one of the issues in this debate is that people will compare a poor FUT surgeon with a great FUE surgeon or, less rarely, vice versa and state that as a win for their preferred procedure of choice. LIke-for-like in terms of surgeon skill, I do not think there is a right/wrong answer just a different set of pros and cons. I do agree that Erdogan is world class and if you can't afford him in Turkey, and you're set on FUE, I'd keep saving. Pay cheap, pay twice. You'll only be going to him for the repair job anyway. He is cheaper than FUT procedures in other countries from very good/top surgeons with great results.
  21. I agree with you but nevertheless, people have their preferences and beliefs. If they arrive to a different conclusion to us with the same information then who are we to say they're wrong?
