  1. Thanks Bill. Can you think of any great examples of threads on here of people that have had very good scar revisions over the years? I can (and will) search for it but I won't know if they're good examples or not until I open each thread and read it.
  2. Perfect answer! Thank you for the explanation.
  3. Good work. What would you say his donor capacity is? Mine is quite similar, perhaps even a little better, and we have similar hair in that it is slightly curly.
  4. Thanks D&C. When will you be uploading your 6 month pics? And yes, I think the consultations are important too.
  5. Thanks Dr. One question though. Why can't you do in the revision at the end of the hair transplant surgery though? That's the bit I do not understand.
  6. Thanks for your reply. I haven't had FUT yet. I am just thinking about after I have exploited all the grafts, how I would like the scar to be as revised as much as possible to make it small and then I would FUE into it. I am just doing some research into it now though. Can you recommend good surgeons for revisions?
  7. Hi D&C. Thanks for getting back to me. He is definitely on my list. I have been following your thread and will continue to do - I agree it is great work. You must be very pleased. I am younger than you so have other considerations (as I don't want to take medication) which is why I have been putting it off as long as possible but it will have to be this year now I think as I am approaching the crossroads.
  8. Hello! What is done in a scar revision procedure that isn't done at the end of the FUT in the first place? Also, where do you typically get them done? Would you go back to your hair transplant surgeon (but what are they going to do for the revision that they couldn't/didn't do the first time round)? Would you go to a doctor that is a specialist in scar revision? Somewhere else? Thanks in advance
  9. Feller and Bloxham in the States, surely? H&W if you want to stay in North America and get a consultation elsewhere to be able to make an informed decision. I'd go with either of those if I were in North America.
  10. You make a good point but I am a special case. I do not want to take medication so need to speak to the doctors in person first. To plan this properly I need them to tell me about my donor and how many grafts it can potentially produce. I am aware of the risks in not taking the medication but my expectations about what a good result/successful procedure will be are already low as I am not after a rounded, juvenile hairline like yours (as good as it looks). I just do not want to be bald. If the doctors say I cannot do it, I will shave my head and live with the consequences.
  11. Thanks for your reply/input Gasthoerer. Dr Feriduni will be expensive, but as I said, I am not too bothered about paying more if I get a good result. I really do not understand people who base their decision on price. I would rather save an extra X months and get it done properly than risk my valuable donor and look worse in the mid- to long-term. I may check this clinic out. No harm in having a non-Belgium based clinic on the list. I won't be going to the UK for this and the Spanish only seem to do FUE and have massive waiting lists. Did you have your surgery done at Hattingen? Why do you promote them so much if not? Which three clinics did you visit in Belgium? I agree Dr Devroye seems great online from the little I have seen but there is not much to see, unfortunately.
  12. Thanks Mikey. Yeah, I thought it would be the usual suspects but I wanted to see if anybody could throw an unknown quantity into the mix now I am coming to decision making time. I have researched that Hattingen clinic but can't find much on them online from former patients so that rules them out. I am not taking a risk with this to save a few euros. I have reached a crossroads now where I either need to shave it off or do the HT. I have been researching it for 2-3 years and had online consultations with the better European based surgeons. I want to do it in September so that the European winter and early nights mean that I won't have that much exposure to the sun and it also gives me an excuse to wear a hat. I am very keen on getting an in person consultation with Dr Devroye but I can't find much posted by patients from him either, just his clinic's posts which although good, are obviously biased and likely to be his best work (he wouldn't post rubbish on a site like this). I like the responsiveness of the clinic though. The problem with Dr Feriduni is that his staff are awful. They take weeks and weeks to get back to you and the waiting lists are long. I booked a consultation in November and it is in August (plus I had to pay 200 and something euros for it). All the other clinics can get me in for a consultation very quickly.
  13. Hello all! Who does the best hairlines in Europe that offer FUT? I am always impressed with Dr Feriduni's work but who else? I need to make a shortlist of about five to visit in the coming weeks/months. I have already got two. I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks
  14. Thanks. It is French too so my shortlist should all be on there (all Belgium based).
  15. Can anybody recommend some foreign language forums? I tried Hair Loss Talk (English language but I wanted a different perspective) but there is no movement on there at all. This genuinely seems to be the best English language site. However, I want to see what other countries say about the same surgeons who are on my shortlist and one of them doesn't have much exposure on this site. Any help?
  16. Tbanks. I am already in touch with your email team (Eva?). I will work it out with her!
  17. Thanks for the reply. I haven't looked into the prices yet. I just know that Belgium has the best surgeons in Europe and I do not want to leave Europe for this. I will speak to them as they may give some different opinions to the others. I want FUT as it is the best surgery type, simply (don't want this to turn into FUT vs FUE). Dr. de Reyes also does everything himself. He only does FUE though. He is also cheap and used to be recommended by this site. What is that about the 21% VAT?
  18. Thanks. I have seen excellent recommendations from other surgeons for Dr. Feriduni on here from US surgeons (Feller and Bloxham for example) as well as in other forums. Dr. Devroye is a bit strange. The results I have seen are good though! Hence the consultations. Thanks again!
  19. If I spend 8-10k on a transplant, what is another 500-1000 to see if everything recovers quicker? I am all for science too but it is relatively a small amount of money extra.
  20. Thanks for the reply! I do not want to travel outside of Europe for this for logistical reasons. I see your point but Drs Deroye and Feriduni both do excellent FUT in my opinion (unless you disgree). There is a good Feriduni FUT case doing the rounds at the moment (Halcott? something like that anyway) on these boards. Excellent work. His hairlines are superb.
  21. Is it FUE or FUT? Will you be shaving your hair as short as possible during the ugly duckling phase?
  22. They both "do it" but they seemingly prefer FUE as there are so few cases of FUT either on forums like this or even their own websites. I will come back to you all!
  23. Looks good. It will be a great result when it reaches the 12 month mark I think
