  1. I actually wouldn't mind having the 5 o'clock shadow look and shaving my head for the rest of my life. Do you have any picture examples of patients the doctor has done this type of procedure to in the past?
  2. Which doctor was it? How many grafts? FUT or FUE? Do you smoke or have you ever? Do you have an circulation/blood pressure problems?
  3. Yes. I think it is very good. I would be happy with a NW3 forever to be honest. Really low expectations. I think the coverage you have with 4000 grafts is amazing. I'd be very happy if I were you.
  4. What Norwood hairline would you say that is? I would say it is conservative for sure. It is the same "style" I want too. Preserve my grafts and give me coverage. It is age appropriate too.
  5. I am highly interested in your case because 1) your balding pattern is pretty much exactly the same as mine (I am 11 years younger than you though but it is following your pattern) 2) I am debating FUT and 3) if I do, it will be with Dr Feriduni. I might PM you in the coming weeks if that is alright?
  6. You just need to request them to activiate your PM. Email them! Report back when you know what it is. I hope you get it fixed
  7. Looks great. Well done. Do you have a picture of the donor area/scar now?
  8. Thanks for the reply. The scar will be 30cm long?! That's the length of a ruler. That's huge! Is that right?
  9. Good idea going to the dematologist. I would still use the aloe vera and witch hazel. It may not work but it won't hurt anything and I doubt they cost very much. I use aloe vera when I get sunburn and it has a cooling effect. Sorry I can't be of more help. Ideally, as you said, one of the doctors will see this and comment. Maybe PM one of them?
  10. Yes, we read that about your doctor. I think what we meant, or at least what I meant, was speaking to your doctor about the prescription of steroids to calm it down. They are not over-the-counter medicine.
  11. MrGio - What is "stretch-back"? If I go with FUT then I will be going with Feriduni most likely so I will be assured of the surgeon's skill/experience. Speegs, what I was wondering (and clearly didn't explain well, apologies) is what the dimensions of the scar will be afterwards. I know it should be pencil thin in an ideal world, depending on a person's laxity. I am just wondering how much of my scalp they're going to hack out to do this procedure.
  12. Hi! How large a scar can I expect if I have FUT for 3000 grafts done?
  13. I would think steroids would help to calm it down but you'd have to speak to a doctor (which I am not). Have you tried pure aloe vera gel? Have you been out in the strong sun? I have read this can make the scalp very red in the first few months as it loses its natural ability to protect itself from the sun.
  14. Looks good! How old are you, when did you get it done and are you on meds?
  15. Londono in Medellin has actually done a procedure on my friend's husband. They are very pleased with the result. His donor was very poor, he was told, but he has still come out with a good result. I didn't even know hair transplant surgery existed for the non-Wayne Rooney millionaires before he had it done and it was him getting it done that made me look into it.
  16. Yeah it does seem strange. I think the result is good and you will be very happy with it in 12 months but I do wonder if 3,000 grafts in that one part is a good idea in the long-term. How old are you? What is your family history like?
  17. I still think that lack of density will be less noticeable in 3 months. Stick with it! I have quite low expectations. I'd be happy with a NW3 (currently a NW3v) and to wear it short (#2, 3 or 4 depending on the scar) for the rest of my life. I just don't want to be bald. My genetics are weird too. My dad is a NW6 and my 2 younger brothers have already lost their hair. I am in my early 30s and I am doing better than both. My dad had already lost his hair completely by my age. My (much older) half-brother has a NW1 or 2 still. My maternal uncle is a NW4 and my paternal uncle is a NW3. Very difficult to tell what I will be. I have beenr recommended to wait as long as possible before getting surgery.
  18. Dr de Reys! I am surprised he has not been mentioned already. His work is quite hard to find online but those cases I have seen have been impressive. He is cheaper than the competition in Belgium and used to be recommended on this site too BUT only does FUE so it depends what you want. He has 1000s of cases on his computer and could probably send you some by email.
  19. I honestly think this is all in your head (no pun intended!) as it will still continue to thicken. I think it looks very good already. Another 3 months and you will see the full effect/result. As you say - for 750 grafts, this is even more impressive. I have seen results with more grafts used and far less of a result. My advice would be wait until August/September before making a decision re. another procedure. Interestingly, I am also debating FUT for my first procedure (and maybe second) to get the most I can out of it and then FUE after to top up and fill in the scar.
  20. I think the hairline looks natural and very good. I rate the result already and it is still only 3/4 of the way through the maturation process.
