  1. Great result. I have a consultation with Dr Bisanga next month. Looking forward to it. How old are you?
  2. I agree. Heading there next month for 3 consultations. Four if Dr Mwamba ever gets back to me.
  3. He said earlier in the thread he had given his permission and even posted email exchanges with the clinic
  4. Hi! How long do you have to wait, post-op, before you can lift weights and do martial arts again? Also, how long before you can swim again? Thanks!
  5. I have 2 more questions though (sorry). 1) Are there any pictures of the donor and the scar both immediately post-surgery and at the points in time you have shown the front 3rd (1 month, 4 months, 6 months, 2 years etc)? and 2) Why is the hairline that you have drawn in the last 0- picture not symmetrical? Looking at the second 0+ photo as well as the 1 month ones, this is clearly noticeable. Was this intentional? Thanks!
  6. If it is like the one in the UK though, then it is just a local agent who sends your pictures and some advice to H&W and then they give you their verdict via email. This is not the same as being personally examined by a doctor so I am not so sure how worth it this would be.
  7. Completely agree with this. Debate is good! This should not be an echo chamber.
  8. Thanks for this thorough answer. I have booked into see you for a consultation at the start of September when you re-open the clinic at the end of August.
  9. Which knockout and which thread? I started that thread actually (if it is the one I am thinking of) but without knowing the can of worms I was opening with it. Are you referring to the one where Dr. Lupanzula got involved in the debate?
  10. Hi! I have booked consultations with doctors: Lupanzula on the 14th of this month; Feriduni and Bisanga on the 31st August and Devroye on the 3rd September. I am still waiting to hear back from Dr. Mwamba. I already have a list of questions I have thought of but can anybody give any me any questions they didn't ask but wish they had or just any general questions they did ask so I can add to my own set. What is the best way to prepare for the consultation? Take photos of family? Leave my hair to grow? Get it cut? Any advice to get the most out of them would be much appreciated! Thanks p.s. does anybody have any recommendations for other doctors that I should add to the list that I may have missed? I am only willing to get this done in Europe (Turkey doesn't count).
  11. Maras in Cyprus. He only does FUE but I was very impressed with his hairlines. They are excellent and vastly underrated.
  12. Which doctors in Europe offer PRP? Does anybody have any personal experience of it? I know Dr Bisanga lists it as a procedure on his website but there are no real details. Any other suggestions?
  13. Thanks for the reply. Does Dr Bisanga do mostly FUT or FUE procedures?
  14. So what is your response to this reply by Dr Feriduni and his clinic? It sounds like it was not his fault. What is the opinion of other people?
  15. Why do they not post here anymore? I always found them really useful and helpful in their replies and advice. Anybody know what happened?
  16. Yeah I was thinking of doing this actually. Cutting it down to the lowest number that still covers the scar and then just leaving it like that for 5-6 months. I am not sure why other people don't do this themselves and seems logical to me. I just assumed that I was missing something.
  17. Ahhh yes. Just Google imaged it. So you think he shaved it this season to hide the result until it is at maximum density then he will just regrow it again? Not really an option for me as I want to do FUT. I still think I am yet to see a footballer in the ugly duckling stage though. Getting it done at the start of the summer break and then having 8-12 weeks off (assuming no World Cup/continental cup like the Euros or Copa America) should mean they are back in the public eye right in the middle of the most awkward phase of the procedure.
  18. You think Silva has had one done? I am not sure. I agree they get it done over the summer but there is never any ugly duckling phase. Fabregas' at the very least should have been noticeable as it was the front part of his head. Bale could keep his man bun to hide the crown if he got work done there but to be honest, it is harder to spot when it is the back of the head. I wonder if any of them ever have FUT or if it is just FUE for the sporting elite.
  19. Great result Dr Devroye. I am sure he will be very pleased with it. May I ask, is the patient on medication? Why did you do the crown work when he is so young? Surely this area will continue to deteriorate and you cannot know the pattern it will take at such a young age.
  20. So, the ugly duckling stage typically runs between the 2nd and 5th month after the transplant. My question is, how do Premier League/La Liga etc. footballers and managers get away with it? Plenty have it done but I have never seen one in the ugly duckling phase. I also wonder how they manage to play football outside when they are supposed to avoid the sun for the first 6 months. Any opinion on this?
  21. I hope the OP does allow Dr Feriduni/his team to answer here so the topic doesn't get archived as he is on my shortlist and I would really like to know what has happened here.
  22. Can you do this into FUT scars? Do you have any samples to show of the results?
  23. Just do some research on here so you can have an informed discussion with whichever surgeon. There are plenty of threads (most get closed eventually) and there is a sticky with the pros and cons of each. I was all for FUE but I am now going for FUT.
  24. Another reason I want to have a consultation first. I want to see how good a candidate I am and what my scalp laxity is.
