  2. Eliminate Jones from your list. Both Rahal and Dr Hasson are outstanding surgeons. Rahal probably produces better FUT results, but he does perform two procedures a day, one FUE and one FUT. Dr Hasson is definitely better known for FUT, and only recently started performing FUEs, so jury is still out on those. Very tough choosing between the two of them, but it also depends what you want. Dr Rahal's hairlines are the best in the business, and Dr Hasson can do a larger number of grafts in a single pass. Dr Wong is the best in the business when it comes to crown work. Consult with both and see what your gut tells you. Good luck. Also read my write-up about how I chose between the two of them.
  3. Hate to break it to you mate, but just like Dr Hasson, Dr Rahal also does not personally do the FUE extractions or implanantation. Very few do the extractions, and even fewer will also do the impamantation. Dr Konior will do the majority of everything himself though. If going for FUT, both Dr Hasson and Dr Rahal will cut out the strip.
  4. I wouldn't use the one with Old Spice scent in it, I imagine that's just another harsh chemical in it. I know Dr Rahal is not a big fan of Head & Shoulders due to harsh chemicals (per the post-op instructions). I personally use Nizoral twice a week, and then use Loreal Vive Pro for Men or Aveda Pure Abundance the other 5 days a week.
  5. Hey buddy, Interesting write-up that you found Rahal to be busy during the consultation. I had a very similar experience with him. Read my write-up below. I am sure he would go for a lower hairline if you really wanted. He does draw a hairline the day before the procedure, and leaves the marking on overnight so you can literally sleep on it. He will then give you an opportunity to change it on the day of surgery. I actually never liked his 1st couple of proposed hairlines, and he was very patient in revising them until the 3rd attempt when he nailed it. Interesting enough, looking back on pre-op pictures, I thought the best hairline he drew was during my initial consult with him (2 months before the actual survey). Unfortunately he wasn't able to replicate that one, but I was still very happy with the one we agreed on. You will also get way more attention from him the day before your surgery. He spent an hour with me drawing that hairline the day before compared with a very rushed 10 minute consult the initial consult that I did 2 months before the surgery. I would give him another look, as his hairline work is absolutely outstanding. Also remember that lowering hairlines eat up a lot of grafts. With FUE, you are definitely more limited in your lifetime donor supply of grafts. If you really want to lower your hairline, and need to address density over the rest of your head, you may want to reconsider FUT which provides a higher number of grafts over your lifetime, esp when you FUT until stripped out and then switch to FUE. Did you discuss that with Dr Rahal. I really cannot comment on Rahal's FUE, but agree you should consider the list provided by Stig. I would also add Dr Ron Shapiro and of course Konior, but Lorenzo and Erdogan are really the top FUE surgeons in my opinion. Erdogan may be more open to a lower hairline than Lorenzo though. I really liked Dr Wesley, and he is a great guy, but I don't know he will be able to give you the same density into a lowered hairline that Rahal would. Very good surgeon nonetheless. 6. Why do you feel the need to post the same statement on multiple threads about Turkey?
  7. Must admit, seeing video of people walking right through the unmanned security checkpoints at the airport and into the transit areas and Tarmac was an eye opener for me.
  8. I thought Paleo's beef was with Doganay, not Erdogan ?
  9. Looks really good mate. Knew it was going to be an outstanding result.
  10. I think it's starting to look good. You definitely still have plenty of growth and maturing still to come, but I will betcha that you see a significant improvement at 6 months and then again at 7 months.
  11. Dr Blake, what an outstanding result! Even though it wasn't a big procedure, that hairline looks terrific. Might we have another hairline King in waiting?
  12. mFUE kinda fell off the radar for a bit there, and I must admit that I forgot about it as an option. It's been a year since you and Dr Feller went on that mFUE promotion campaign. I'd be very interested to see some of the 1 year results. Do ou have videos/more cases you can share with us? I'm most interested in what the Donor scaring looks like?
  13. Thanks Hairsgone, Stig and Chris. I am soooo happy and excited by the result, and it's still getting better by the week. I heard from Janice at the Rahal clinic 2 weeks ago and she told me that Dr Rahal had reviewed my pictures, and stated the following: "Dr. Rahal is back in the clinic, he had a look at your photos and is very pleased with your results! He said the areas treated are showing a nice, natural growth that is filling in nicely, creating a thicker, fuller look. He said in the coming 6 months, you will continue to see an increase in density." I am not sure how much better it can still be, but there are still a lot of very fine wispy hairs that still need to mature, so I have no doubt in my mind it's going to keep getting better. I am now at the stage where I no longer need to spray Toppik into the hairline.
  14. Hell yes! Doganay got suspended from this sites recommended list because of poor quality results as late. Then his own patient advisor turned on him.
  15. Welcome back buddy! Sounds like if you are still seeing new hairs popping at month 8.5, then I think it's fair to say it appears you may be a slower grower than average, so the usual timeline that we tend to follow may not necessarily apply to you and what the average person experiences at month 6, you experienced 2 months later. Just remember that those recently popped hairs will need time to mature before making an impact. On the other hand, maybe you really are heading towards an uninspired result. Just remember that you did go with a conservative approach with a conservative number of grafts. 2450 really isn't considered that much. I needed a good 4,000 odd grafts to get to where I wanted to be, so sounds like you may want to consider getting mentally prepared for a 2nd procedure to add density and strengthen that forelock and Windows peak. I know this is all stuff you know already, but hope it helps nonetheless.
  16. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't go to Turkey either, but at the same time I live in New York City and ride the subway passing underneath Times Square & Penn Station during peak rush hour every day. Which city other than D.C. would these Barbarians just love to get their hands on? Not saying there is a right answer, but maybe we need some perspective before making comments advising to stay away from Turkey.
  17. I've always wondered why England hasn't yet toyed with the idea of trying to lure Sir Alex Ferguson out of retirement to coach the national team. I get that he is Scottish, but I think he would be a great fit. HTsoon, England have had foreign coaches without success in recent years. I think the problem runs deeper than just the coaching. They now have a mental block that psychologically prevents them from advancing very far in major tournaments. I thought they looked really good leading into the tournament, but the pressure that comes with the choke tag is always too much. They don't know how to win. Germany mentally know how to win. Same with the NY Jets and New England Patriots. Doesn't matter if the Jets field a stronger more talented team, they don't know how to win regularly against the Pats. Same thing with the NY Knicks of the 90s or the San Jose Sharks, or the Buffalo bills of the 80s. I think the talent is there for England, but the mentality of the players is questionable. I don't think winning is important enough for them like it is for the Germans. They lack the heart and the passion.
  18. Why not? Can you say the same thing about travelling to the USA based on San Bernadino, Orlando and Boston? What about Western Europe to places such as Paris and Brussels? Would you visit New York right about now? Reality is that these Barbarians can strike any place and at any time. They have successfully taken the war to us now, and there really is nowhere to hide. It's very very scary
  19. I don't get it. Fine to give Turkey a miss, but what about a city in the United States, is that really safer when you think of San Bernidina and Boston? Or how about France? So it's safe to travel to or within the states or Western Europe , but now we should give Turkey a miss. Perspective guys. Reality is that these Barbarians have take the war to us, and can strike any place at any time. Hell, Iran is probably the safest place to travel to for a Hair Transplant. I can't believe they would target the very country that sponsors them.
  20. Yes, it is dense up close and still getting denser by the week. It was see through until about a week ago, and I still see so many new hairs popping, so once those mature it is going to be very dense. I still give the hairline a spray or two of Toppik before I go out, but I think I'm at the point where that is now unnecessary. The doctor did such a good job.
  21. Ladies & Gentleman - drum drum ... Attached please find my 6 month post op pics. I couldn't be happier with the result as is, and if it stopped growing and maturing at this point, I would be happy, but I can see a lot of very fine wispy hairs that still need to mature to have an impact, so its still going to get better if that's even possible. As you can see, I have a miniaturized spot in the midsection and crown area, but do not want to get any further surgeries performed at this point in time 9beware beware of hair greed). It doesn't bother me as it is easily masked with Fil-In hair power or a few sprinkles of Toppik. I have been thinking about potentially going with PRP/ACELL to perhaps help with that area in the meantime. Will be looking into Dr Cooley for that, and if I decide to pull the trigger on that, I will target December. In terms of the post-op care from the Rahal clinic, the last communication I had from them was back in March when Kamila's replacement called for the 3 month check-in. I was expecting a call and/or e-mail them last week at the 6 month mark, but surprisingly nothing. No big deal, as the pre-op and post-op care really was outstanding, and they probably just set very high expectations. I did just e-mail the 6 months pics as attached to Larissa and to Kamila's old e-mail address, so will see what Dr Rahal has to say about my progress to date.
