Avoid post-op swelling
paddyirishman replied to Fred88's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
You will have swelling , it dosent matter whether it's a 2 day or 3 day procedure. The swelling will occur over your eyebrows and forehead. Every 20 minutes put both thumbs up to your forehead and push the fluid away to both sides and down the side of your face where it will give you a great improvment. Avoid reading or anything that makes you to look down as best you can. Paddy -
Still shedding at 5th week?
paddyirishman replied to Lohvisa's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
What you are experiencing in normal in the shedding process. It's nothing to worry about. You are very near the end of the shedding at this point in time so thats good news. All the best for your HT. Paddy -
Hello @dobler If you lost transplantef hair over time its likely that hair was extracted outside the Safe doner zone. You are doing the right thing in keeping your hair short as it suits and dosent show the thinning areas as much. Like myself, you have used beard grafts for your HT. There is no reason why you can't use them again . This approach will help to fill thin areas and create more density. Paddy

Anyone know any good Hair Transplant clinics in Ireland/UK
paddyirishman replied to Coady's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
There are far more experienced doctors with proven past results outside Ireland and the UK. ...Paddy... -
@BOW32 to answer your previous question about my beard grafts. They were all single hairs . I can not tell that beard grafts were removed from under my chin as there is no visible scarring to be seen by the naked eye whatsoever. The healing was really fast, fully healed in 7 days. The punch size used by Dr.Arika was only 0.7mm . I would have no hesitation whatsoever in using beard grafts later again if needed. Paddy

Anyone know any good Hair Transplant clinics in Ireland/UK
paddyirishman replied to Coady's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hello @Coady . Great Question. After carrying out extensive researching in Ireland and The UK , I discovered that there is much better doctors elsewhere outside of Ireland and the UK that are showing much better results on a consistent basis. I travelled to world class doctors @Eugenix Hair Science in India. It's very important to note that distance and price should not come into your decision making. You have a finite amount doner grafts, they definately need to be managed very carefully , and used as well as possible. Don't make the mistake of not looking further , you could very well regret it later. My advice would be to do as much research as possible and take your time. ....Paddy... -
Itchy scalp after HT
paddyirishman replied to Edward926's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I would use it after showering, dry your hair and scalp first. It's great as a moisturiser. You can use it on your face also. Paddy -
Caucasian M41, NW3/2500 Grafts Eugenix, India
paddyirishman replied to Fluffhead's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hello @Fluffhead. That was a fast 20 days. You are over the worst of things now with taking medication and headwash and minding your newly implanted grafts. Yes I had the tingling etc on my scalp also, it is a sign of your nerve endings coming back to life and will fade. It will take a while for your doner to grow out and some hair will go into sleeping mode for 2 or 3 months, so it will look much better then. Yes you are correct, now the shedding and that means looking forward to the hair growing back as soon as possible. You look great , your hairline really suits you. The redness will fade away more again over the next few weeks. I have some good tips on my own thread to help, for you around this stage of your journey . All the best Fluff Paddy -
I understand laser combs and Lasercap may help, also microneedling. Best wishes for your HT. Paddy

Aloe Vera Redness post Fue

Yes wait 2 weeks before excersise you need to heal somewhat. Wearing a hat to protect your scalp from the sun is the sensible thing to do, however I wouldn't put anything on your RECIPENT at this point in time. As always talk your clinic before you put anything on your RECIPENT especially in the early days post HT . .....Paddy... -
Hello @drmn . I sympathise with your situation regarding hair loss. Ok so you cant take finasteride. Your priority is to try and hold onto your native hair . Look at lasercombs or Lasercap, microneedling , Minoxidil , Rogaine , multivitamins for hair , basically anything that would help in that regard. You still have a lot of hair, I was surprised when I saw your pictures. At this moment in time I think you should sit tight and concentrate on trying to hold onto what you have, as you have a lot. It's far to early to think about your crown. It's always best to start at the front in any case. You were advised your doner is limited so it's best not to have a HT at this point in time, you are only 22, as you will end up with islands of hair and patches of scalp around the transplanted hair later, with the strong possibly of running out of your doner supply. It's all about supply and demand, so plan for the long term, unfortunately thats means not doing anything now. You spoke about shaving your head, good for you , maybe you could try getting your hair cut to a number 4 for a trial run, This way would give you a great idea on your potential future look, or your new present look, you would be surprised how well this would blend in with the thinning areas. . It' would not take long for your hair to grow out again. It could really suit you. You were told you were heading for a norwood 6, how do you know that you wont be a 7 ? Is it because of the assessments of the clinics you contacted, and you provided your family history ? ........Paddy.....

Aloe Vera Redness post Fue
paddyirishman replied to rumblefish7194's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Aloe Vera is excellent especially on the DONER AREA for healing and for an itchy DONER AREA. For the RECIPENT AREA it works best as a moisturiser, as @Melvin-Moderator said it wont do a great deal for the redness as that needs time to fade away very gradually . However it is important to speak with the clinic about putting anything on your RECIPENT AREA especially in the first few weeks after surgery. All the best. Paddy -
How to get over the fear of surgery?
paddyirishman replied to gemini's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
When I had my HT the anethesasia was given with the vibration method on my scalp which cleverly tricks the brain into thinking that the needles were hardly happening to cause to much pain. If I had to do it again I wouldn't have a problem. ....Paddy.. -
