No damage could have occurred. Your grafts are well and truly anchored under your skin, thats what matters. There was no bleeding or anything. You have nothing to worry about

In my opinion it's to early for a HT. You have not receeded enough, you still have plenty of hair even on your temples. When you receed more have a look at it again. If you have a HT soon you will be wasting your doner , where you will receed further then your back on the table again, and again. Do nothing for now, have a look at it in 3 years time. .......Paddy......

Why do you say 3000 to 3500 is to much ? Did other Drs tell you different ? How many grafts are in your doner ?

Wow that's small. I had 0.7mm on mine, but it dosent matter as I have no scarring either. 0.9mm was used for my scalp.

@Portugal25 the surgery is very clean. You probably have another 2500 grafts from the beard. What size punch was used for your beard ?

You don't have to spray the saline spray when you go to bed. The saline spray is to keep the crusts moist so we can remove them on the 7th day onwords. .........Paddy......

Hello Sean Im sorry to hear of your negative experience. When put in the right hands of skillef surgeons beard hair can and has worked very well. There are lots of high norwoods out there that had a limited amount of scalp doner and discovered that their beard grafts were their saving grace. Nothing is 100% guaranteed in Hair Restoration , one can only give themselves a great chance if they go to the best surgeon. ......paddy.....

Thanks @skallig. I had my procedure FUE. Yes I had 3582 grafts. I can still take another 2500 grafts approx from the scalp. I can take another 2000 grafts from the beard. I didnt want to go FUT as I saw to many large scars during my research. Once you are cut, there is no going back. I also saw some good scars also, but personally it never appealed to me for a HT. I decided to skip the scar and tap into my doner from the beard . Every mans head of hair is unique, so thats the road I felt was best for myself in my situation. Yes speak to many surgeons and get all the advice, and the best long term plan. It depends on your expections, and at the end of the day its all about supply and demand. Yes Joe Tillman had 10 HTs. Thats because he had some poor ones, and had many repair HTs as such. Now he is telling the world how to avoid the same pitfalls that he fell into. He is a great inspiration to the HT industry. He is helping guys everyday just like you and me. He only recommends Doctors and Clinics who meets his strict criteria. Those Doctors that meet his criteria have to show many many examples of ;Great natural hairlines, Crown work , and repair cases. Lots of clinics or Doctors wont touch the crown, as its so difficult. Then there is the beard grafts also . The doctors that Jo recommends are the top doctors who are highly skilled, and think outside the box. Those are the ones that are evolving with science and using the best magnification equipment etc etc. Jo Tillman has the highest of strict criteria , he has his reputation to keep in tact. @Eugenix Hair Science are recommended on his network. That was another big reason for me to make my choice to have my HT with Dr. Pradeep Sethi and Dr.Arika Bansal. ............... Paddy.......

Aloe Vera Gel is fantastic for healing and for soothing the area after extractions.

Aloe Vera Gel works wonders.

The roots of your grafts will become embedded into your scalp and will be fully anchored after about 4 days after a HT. If your hair sheds the roots will stay embedded and go dormant for 2 or 3 months and start to grow again. If your pores open it wont have any negetive impact, when we shower our pores are open. @min12 3000 + grafts carried out in the right hands will give a real change for a great improvement. I have some great tips in my previous posts on this thread on travelling from the UK to India which includes best Airport and times of day for departure and best arrival times into India and which airline etc. You travelling from the UK what would your opinion be on it ? ..............Paddy............

@baalloss you are doing the right thing by meeting top surgeons for Consultation. Im in my 50s also and I spent years researching and meeting top surgeons myself to help me gather as much information as possible before my own recent HT. If you can establish to a fair degree how much further you will lose more hair, and how much doner you have , and what youe expectations are. @Min12 I paid my booking deposit before arrival via bank transfer. When I paid for my procedure at Eugenix with Visa Debit card. So yes they have card facilities. If you have more grafts implanted thats no problem, everything is very straightforward and the staff are very polite and friendly. If you bring cash or cards it is really safe anyway. You wont have a problem . Punch size used on scalp was 0.9mm Punch size used on beard doner 0.7mm Where are you travelling from and what norwood are you ? .........Paddy......

@lovinitl9 yes I would say 1 beard graft would be as good as 2 scalp hairs, certainly 1.5 scalp hairs. Yes beard hair is excellent , its mixed in the mid scalp back into the crown. Its a huge asset to have for low doner of scalp and high norwoods. I would definitely explore the option, as thousands have recieved great results this way. ........Paddy......

@lovinitl9 all great questions. I noticed my beard hair is thicker and stronger than my scalp doner which is not a surprise. I am shortly after my own HT. Beard hair growth cycle is slower than scalp hair, and blends in very well after a time with scalp hair. .......Paddy.....

Picture taken 3 weeks after 596 beard grafts. Nobody made any comment at any stage. Has anybody else any pictures to show of the healing of area after beard grafts extracted ? .........Paddy........

25 DAY UPDATE. THE NUMBNESS ON THE RECIPENT AREA IS FADING DAY BY DAY. FROM THE MID SCALP TO THE BACK IS PRACTICALLY BACK TO NORMAL, THE FRONTAL THIRD STILL HAS NUMBNESS BUT IS FADING GRADUALLY. THE REDNESS IS FADING ALSO. DONER FEELS GOOD BUT STILL TENDERNESS HERE AND THERE WHICH I STILL EXPECTED AT THIS STAGE. I AM PUTTING ALOE VERA GEL 3 TIMES A DAY WHICH IS REALLY GREAT AS THE DONER HAS ITCHINESS NOW AND THEN. I HAVE EXPERIENCED MORE SHEDDING OF MY TRANSPLANTED HAIR UNFORTUNATELY, I CAN SEE THE LOSS WHEN I WASH MY HAIR. ..................PADDY.............

@karatekid DHT is Direct Hair Transplantation . Grafts are out of the body for minimum amount of time, and in most cases Extracted and implanted simultaneously. Dr.Pradeep Sethi and Dr. Arika Bansal invented their own technigue @Eugenix Hair Science I got my HT with @Eugenix Hair Science in India. ..........P.addy ........

During my research for my own HT I looked at Extraction of grafts, graft time out of body and storage, Implantation of grafts. When I understood how important the above factors were to help achieving a great result when put in expert hands I decided to go with the DHT technique to reduce the out of body time grafts are subjected to and trauma given to them. ..........Paddy......
