  1. @Annijoy31 very nice improvement indeed and only at 3 months. The hairline and temples are as natural as can be , the angles and direction of the hair are a true work of art. Congratulations to you as you are well on your way to a fantastic result. ........................Paddy................. .
  2. 3 WEEKS AFTER HT UPDATE. ( its more than 3 weeks actually , but this is what way things were at 3 weeks ) THE NUMBNESS IS GONE FROM THE DONER AREA. I STILL HAVE NUMBNESS AND SOME REDNESS IN THE RECIPENT ESPECIALLY ON THE FRONTAL 1/3 , IT HAS FADED FROM THE MID SCALP TO BACK , SO I EXPECT THE NUMBNESS TO BE GONE ON THE RECIPENT IN A WEEK OR SO . I CAN FEEL A TINGLING SENSATION ALL OVER MY RECIPENT AREA AT TIMES WHICH IS A GOOD SIGN AS THE NUMBNESS IS FADING AND THOSE NERVE ENDINGS ARE COMING BACK TO LIFE AGAIN. MY DONER IS ITCHY, TO RELIEVE THIS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PUTTING ALOE VERA GEL , WHICH IS REALLY GOOD. THE ITCHING CAN BE A SIGN THAT THE DONER IS IN HEALING MODE ALSO. I HAVE EXPERIENCED SHEDDING FROM MY TRANSPLANTED GRAFTS DURING WASHING ALSO IN THE LAST FEW DAYS, ITS NOT A WELCOME SIGHT BUT ITS PART OF THE JOURNEY WE MUST GET THROUGH. I HAVE BEEN WEARING A HAT MOST OF THE TIME I HAVE BEEN OUT, AND WHEN I DIDNT I WAS WITH PEOPLE I NEVER MET BEFORE, AND NOBODY MENTIONED A THING ABOUT A HT. THEY JUST PRESUMED MY HAIR WAS SHORT ANYWAY. UNDER THE CHIN WHERE THE BEARD GRAFTS WERE EXTRACTED IS COMPLETLY HEALED AFTER A WEEK. .......ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE....... ........................Paddy............................
  3. I recently had a HT and I dont take medication for the same reason. Thousands have had very successful HTs without it, so I wouldn't be ruling it out on that basis. When and if you lose more of your native hair you could have plenty of doner supply to give the illusion of density. I also used beard grafts on the mid scalp also, which gives you more options again. ..........Paddy....... . .
  4. @Zoomster very impressive hairline with those micro irregularities. A true work of art. Was it Dr.Sethi that designed your hairline ? ........Paddy....
  5. @nordicwarrior shockloss leaves patches in your doner with no hair. The hair will grow back as normal after a few months. It dosent happen to everybody, When you get over this tempory phase you can look forward to the benifits of the HT. Once 3 months is over there is a lot of improvements week by week. ......................Paddy................
  6. The pictures below are what I posted over 2 weeks ago at the 14 day mark to give an indication of redness and appearance but as we know everybody is a little different. ............Paddy....... .
  7. @Loadrunner my doner was good after 9 or 10 day. I had to put an antiseptic liquid and antiseptic ointment for the first 7 days. Then I had to do the first headwash to remove the crusts. After I done this I didnt have any crusts showing which is a big help . After doing this your recipent will still be quite red. Mine was red for 3 weeks and started to die down after that and is only really back to normal in appearance after a month. The doner area is still tender after 10 days, but not as red as the recipent. It wont be as noticable as the recipent in terms of redness, your hair that grows on your doner will help to disguise it somewhat. So all in all make sure you have all the crusts off , or as many as possible without forcing them very much. Then speak to your doctor about what you can use to calm down the redness, but you should be fine without people asking questions. You could say that your scalp got irritated by a shampoo or something that caused the redness. If any other guys reading this and has other ideas please feel free to share. ......................Paddy...............
  8. @Zoomster Congratulations on your HT from a fellow Irishman. Your pictures are great, and the work carried is really clean. I look forward to your updates. .........All the best ...... ............Paddy.......

  11. Hairline and density is exceptionally well crafted , totally natural. Congratulations to Dr @Arika and@DrPradeep and all the team @eugenix.
  12. @LonelyGraft yes caps are the way to go as they are a great way to disguise the shedding of the transplanted hair. Good advice about the sunburn , I saw that during my research to stay out of the sun as the recipent area especially is very red and inflamed after surgery. Better safe than sorry. Thanks for your input @LonelyGraft
  13. Thanks @Lennney yes its a great time of year for wearing hats I aggree. I have been wearing a hat anytime I went out. I sometimes wear a hat anyway this time of year so its nothing out of the ordinary when people meet me. Thanks for your input Lenney. ............Paddy........ .
  14. Thanks @transplantedphil for your reply. The Santa hat is a great idea.😃😃😃. On a serious note though yes you are right @Melvin-Moderator put a great video together on how to deal with shockloss. The answers I gave to @Bigjab above about shockloss was where I found them during my research. Although I couldnt see myself putting on suntan as one other forum suggested, it might suit some though. Thanks for your input @transplantedphil ...............Paddy........... ..
  15. Would @Lennney , @LonelyGraft @transplantedphil @BeHappy have any ideas or advice on the subject of shockloss or the ugly duckling phase please.??? Or any other guys have ideas or advice please ? I am now 1 month after my HT and I have experienced some shedding which I was expecting. ...............Paddy....... ..... .
  16. Hello @THX1138 . You have come to a great forum for your research. I was researching here for many years and got many answers to help me decide, so I know you will find the same. I have documented my experience here with advice and tips that I got along the way that have helped others. Take your time and dont rush into any decision is worth keeping in mind. All the best. ......Paddy.....
  17. @niterunner congratulations on a great looking outcome after all the years of dedication. ..................Paddy............
  18. Yes @nordicwarrior there can be swelling a few days after the HT. The swelling for me was on the forehead. Its not a major issue , there is no pain. It wont stop you doing anything you want to do. It goes away after 5 or 6 days. TOP TIP : Massage your forehead with your thumbs or fingers from the centre of your forehead out to both sides, by doing this your are pushing the fluid out away from your forehead and down each side of your face. This will make a big difference for improvement. ....................Paddy...............
  19. @Lennney Thanks for the above tips. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I hope I answered most of your questions in some posts since, if not please let me know. TOP TIPS : Yes on Travelling to Delhi I made sure to arrive at a time that wouldn't put my body clock out of sync. First I made sure to get a direct flight on the day of my departure. I made sure to have an early morning departure flight which meant I was out of bed at before 05.00 am. I landed at 22.30 Indian time so by the time I got to the clinic it was 12 midnight and time to get to bed . Indian time was 5 and a half hours ahead of the time zone I came from, but that didnt matter as I was out of bed before 05.00 am anyway so I was tired and didnt mind hitting the bed after settling in ,and by the time I made a phone call to home , I didnt feel a few hours passing. So all of the above planning was key for me to have a smooth run into the HT which was scheduled to start the next morning. On my departure back I planned it that I had an afternoon departure, this meant I could have a good nights sleep again , and to have my doner treated with antiseptic by the nurse the following morning, and to make sure all is ok before departure. If I was to do it again , I would run with exactly the same plan as everything ran very smooth indeed. I would like to know how @Looking for HT and @Zoomster travel plans and arrival times etc went ??? Would you do anything different ??? as they both arrived in India for their HTs in the last few days. I didnt do any sightseeing when I was there so I dont know anything about that Lenney. Please see other answers and tips I gave in a few previous posts, if I forgot anything Lenney please let me know. .....................Paddy.................
  20. @Abhinay Singh absolutely marvelous transformation. Dr. Arika played a major role in my recent surgery. A highly talanted doctor, which is proven yet again . .......Paddy.....
