  1. Hi Gillenator, yes that's what I'm referring to. And I would not do that both for the side effects and I'd forget about doing it anyway. So with that in mind should I just forget about considering the procedure? If I understand you right it's needed to keep the transplants over time?? Thanks for your input!
  2. Does it make any sense to do a FUE if I won't take any drugs after the procedure? I mean is it needed to take drugs to "keep" the new hair etc? K
  3. Hi and thanks for your tips.. Well. .yes I'd say "pretty stable".. just passed 40 .. got really thick hair on the sides and back.. so I'd say no problem on "donor" zone. Still slowly loosing other areas.. crown + vertex.. but it's nothing dramatically new for sure. Just in doubt of going "bold look" (not good with the strong sun hitting my head). Or of getting the operation done.. yes... I do understand that at some point one might wish to add more. But doing the drugs regularly is a no no for me. K
  4. I've seen in some blogs that some says that it's very important to take some drugs regularly AFTER having a hair restoration operation done (Propecia or finasteride?) That to prevent further balding. What's your opinion of this? If that's the case I'm not that keen on doing the operation really. Don't feel ok with going on some sort of "medicine" for years. K
  5. Hi, did you get any further on this? Cali is "world capital" of plastic surgery so I'm also a bit baffled nobody talks more about Colombia here. That Medellin options looks interesting.. price pr graft?
  6. Thanks for your replies guys. I'm moving ahead now after thinking and studying this a bit. Turkey is to much hassle I think. More easy to travel to Madrid (Dr. Lorenzo) or Brusseles. I did contact a few of these that are often mentioned here as the best in Belgium, Spain, Turkey and Thailand. I think the most interesting answer I got was from dr Ozgur / Dermaplast. He did not recommend touching my crown at all for now as it might cause "shock-loss". None of the other mentioned that. Any of you think that's a factor I should pay attention to?
  7. Hi guys! First of all thanks for the comments to my initial posting. (Best surgeon in Turkey? - Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients). After the response and reading around here I have expanded my search from only turkey to more countries. If you deal with top surgeon in Turkey the price difference is not that extreme any more. I've read a lot in this forum and and I'm very impressed with the level of many of the regular contributors here and I've learned a lot. I have some further questions to you and I also would like to share some of my experience as I know have been in contact with most of the surgeons in my shortlist. I've been recommended to do 2000 - 3500 grafts by those that I have been in touch with, mostly depending on if I want to do both temple and crown. The surgeons do 600-700 to 1500-2000 grafts a day. Dr. Lorenzo being the "fastest" and Dr. Ozgur Ersoy the "slower" of those I've been in touch with. My question then is if it really is recommendable to limit the number of grafts in one procedure and rather do it in two sessions over a 6-12 month period? Some here on the forum seem to have the opinion that it's not good to do more than about 2000 grafts in one go, even if the procedure is spread over several days? If so, better to spread them around temple / crown than sticking to one area? I have noticed how the surgeons you here keep mentioning as the best are both much more expensive than "the others" and they are all booked all of them for the next couple of months. Others have much more availability, many seem to agree with you guys here in other words. After reading my replies here and reading on the forum the surgeons that seem to be the best if I limit my search to Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Thailand and Brazil are the following. G?khan Dogan Dr. Lorenzo Dr. Pathomvanich Ozgur Ersoy Dr. Bisanga I also contacted Dr. Arthur Tykocinski and Dr. Jean Devroye. They are recommended by the forum here but still I did not see them mentioned all that much reading around here. My choices seem good? I was also in touch with Dr. Keser but did not get any reply. Thanks for all feedback and advice! K
  8. Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but have been reading quite a bit but still don't have a very clear picture to answer my question. I'm a Norwood III vertex, so won't need all that many grafts I guess (see the attachment). And want to take care of this little problem now and I assume Turkey would be the good place to use it as they do this operation a lot and prices are better than rest of Europe. Who would be the top surgeon to use in Turkey (Istanbul?). Everyone seem to point out their "top man" but some of you more experienced might give me a "short list" to work on? Thanks! K
