  1. Hope it went well. A picture the day you go back would be great. I am thinking a comb over with Nanogen is what I will have to do.
  2. DeYarman is an advocate but it is difficult to prove their effectiveness. He answers emails pretty quick so it may be worth asking for examples
  3. I'd certainly use Nanogen again. It's just a question of how much hair there would be for it to attach to.
  4. Thanks. That's an idea. I have a can of 'Mane' which could (as a last resort) be used to disguise any shockloss areas around the scar.
  5. Photos attached. There is Nanogen in the middle so it is actually thinner than just at the front.
  6. My preferred doc (Konior) thought it would be fine after 5 weeks. He would only shave the transplanted area to maximise success. The sides could stay as long as desired and used as a 'comb over' He also thought I would probably get some redness but didnt say for how long, but did think I could use make up to hide it. And where I work is 200 people in an open plan, well lit office! And I interact with people on the other 10 floors...
  7. ...to go back to work and hide the fact you had a HT? This is the only thing stopping me now. A co-worker who knows I'm considering a HT was very gung-ho until I showed him some pictures of a patient post op and 1 month after. His words: "you will have to shave your head. That's a b*mmer." So even he thinks it will be quite difficult. The plan would be 5 straight weeks off. Have the op on the first Tuesday/Wednesday then 32/33 days recovery. 4000 grafts on the front half. The sides can be kept long enough to cover the strip scar. Of course, shockloss would be a bit of a lottery. Going on holiday and having a 'bad haircut' is one possible excuse I could use, but if the grafts don't shed quickly and there is redness then that will be difficult to hide. I've generally always kept my hair between 1-2inches in a sort of comb-forward.
  8. Terrific results so far and great hair. No HT needed for a long long time
  9. This one possibly: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/166975-finasteride-dosage-frequency-conception.html Agree. A small dose with regularity (whether that is every 2,3,4+ days, so long as you get no sides and it stops hair loss).
  10. I recall your photos from a few months ago. The doctor who did your 800 is a schmuck! No two ways about it. However, it is not the worst HT I've ever seen. I'm sure you will get a much improved appearance with Dr Reed. In my book this is a 'repair' case.
  11. Realistically you might be able to achieve a result like Shaun Williamson:
  12. 1500-2000 grafts. (50 fu/cm sq over 30-40 sqcm approx But with great hair like that I would not touch it in your 20s - could be asking for trouble later down the line. If you were in your mid thirties then maybe.
  13. It doesnt look bad... ..but it looks like your temples may receed over time, especially based on family history. You are doing the best thing by using Minox to preserve it as long as possible. My only other suggestions would be: Shampoo with Nizoral (or equivalent) once a week Consider smaller doses of Propecia - maybe try 0.5mg every 3 days. Perhaps 1mg is just too much. As you can see from below I take 0.5mg per week! - I don't know if this is helping but I get no sides from it. I may up it soon to 0.5mg every 5 days.
  14. I'm not a GP, but all I know is when I got it in 2007 the gel worked wonders and eliminated the redness within 2 weeks. I've used it ever since, applying once a night as a preventative measure. Since starting minoxidil 12 months ago nothing has flared up.
  15. I'm no GP but it does look like Rosacea to me. I had the same years ago and people commented I looked like an alcoholic or something! Rozex gel really took away 90% of the redness for me. See if you can find a dermatologist Google 'Minoxidil Rosacea' and it seems there are lots of threads..
  16. I didn't really notice any shedding. I think I may have gone through one in the last 3 months. Perhaps a 'seasonal shed'.
  17. Taking photos every month is a good idea. Did you take any? With little or no sides I would ride it out for another 6 months
  18. Barely a Norwood 2. Unless you have a family history of baldness I would not be worried. If you are concerned then maybe research using Propecia as a preventative measure and just enjoy life
  19. The best thing to do is ride it out and stick with it. Take photos at least once a month. Here's my result: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169232-rogaine-regaine-foam-result.html It didn't do too much in the hairline other than start some fine hairs growing. However, as you can see it has worked better further back.
  20. Hello mate, A picture or two (face obscured if you wish to hide your identity) would help, particularly one of the back of your head. Robbie Savage has annoyingly good hair! Here's one result that shows there is hope for high norwood numbers: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169686-dr-deyarman-age-31-5022-grafts-prp.html Cost wise youre probably looking at GBP10-15k for 5000 grafts
  21. NW3.75 possibly It's quite thin already which probably means there isn't much density left to lose. I think sorting out the top half of your head would not look abnormal, even if the crown starts to receed more. Hopefully you're on hair loss medications to slow that down. For a lot of people I think more than 1 HT is likely to be required, it's just a question of when really. 5 years, 10years, 15 years?! Who knows.
