  1. Wow. What a difference a month makes.
  2. 4 months is very early. Do you keep shaving your head or something? Why dont you let it grow out?
  3. Why is it that in almost every thread in which you post Rob you have to push the same ole debate. On one hand you tell the guy to research and make up his own mind, appearing to be impartial, and then you come out with a statement like this. I happen to agree that for 1500 grafts that he should seriously consider FUE but telling him (and therefore any newbies reading) he never need consider FUT 'period' and by default rule out many of the top clinics with hundreds if not thousands of documented success cases is more than a bit irresponsible.
  4. mickey you're taking that sentence out of its context. It was an extension of my comments that I think you need to take into account the success of the whole surgery when talking about what 'a repair' is which was in response to GNX's comments which focused mainly on the donor when talking about repair. Bring these things together and 'what's the point of minimal scarring but getting minimal growth?' is obviously just to emphasise the wider point.... what exactly is being 'repaired'? The donor or a poor HT? For that reason it isn't to be confused with being a general comment that every FUE achieves minimal scarring but minimal growth, not even close, on either count. In terms of my comment about the top 10 clinics in the world, I appreciate this is highly subjective. The 'jab' however was again rooted in the original argument. Which clinics do you consider do most repairs..... the best in the world right....? And more often than not when this question is asked, the same clinics get mentioned time and time again and the majority are FUT. Again I accept this is perhaps inviting comment but it was more just to imply a certain logic to the original point being debated, namely that of course FUT clinics do repairs too, several are even considered amongst the best in the world. In terms of your last paragraph, he went to Armani. And I was never blaming FUE. On the contrary I was replying because the same generalisations were being applied to FUT and the criticism was more about the technique than who performed it which is ludicrous. It works both ways. No one should blame the techniques .... just the application. There is enough evidence to show that both are proven to be highly effective in the right hands and ineffective or downright destructive on the wrong hands.
  5. Mickey my post stated that I wasn't interested in getting into a FUT vs FUE debate. It centered around the definition of repair and how it is accurate in my opinion to say that FUT clinics perform 'repairs' on ex FUE patients as well the other way round. I know this from personal experience and GNX asked for an example. I know a guy who had FUE that was so poor he had to suffer the indignation of people asking what was wrong with his hair. He sent me text messages stressing about it after a particularly embarrassing situation. He went to H&W and got a great result which totally transformed him,his look, his self esteem. I consider this a repair as much as I consider someone getting FUE into a scar a repair. That is the only point I was making. Anyway peace out.
  6. I don't have the energy nor inclination to have the FUT or FUE debate again. No one is suggesting the FUT is used to repair the donor.... cutting a slice out of someones head to remove some dots is so nonsensical it doesn't even need addressing. You seem to have a pretty narrow definition of 'repair'. It isn't just confined to the donor or scarring produced by a surgery, it's the final outcome of the whole surgery. We're talking about the execution of a HT.... graft placement, coverage, growth, yield, recipient and donor. What use is having a HT and achieving minimal scarring in the donor if the growth is poor and the patients expectations, goals aren't achieved? There is emotional and financial stress that comes from this as well. Of the top 10 clinics in the world, the majority are FUT. I've spoken to several of these clinics and they have all said that many of their patients have had FUE and consider it a failed or poor HT. That's what I mean by repair. Equally there are many clinics doing quality FUE. I'm just saying.... to say that FUT clinics do not repair FUE patients as well is inaccurate in my book.
  7. Litesport, just looked up your posts and I remember your post op. Typical of other Radha post ops, very clean and neat. It looked like you were on the cusp of some serious growth at 4 months.... can't wait to see your update!
  8. GNX whilst mine wasn't a completely failed FUE, the yield wasn't great and the donor scarring.... believe me this exists with FUE also......... is a concern. I've consulted with several top clinics about FUT and each have commented that they regularly do FUE repair work. Do you think this simply just doesn't happen? You asked for examples, there are loads. A good friend of mine in fact who I got to know through the forums went to H&W after a shockingly poor FUE procedure with another surgeon, and now he couldn't be happier. I was luckier than him, we went to the surgeon and my FUE was passable but it in no way compares to some of the FUT results on here and indeed his result from H&W. Both procedures have their benefits and risks. But weighing those up, my next move will definitely be FUT.
  9. We have private healthcare. It's just that we also have an institution that anyone that cannot afford private healthcare has access to medical care as well
  10. Echo that. Spanker you had a great head of hair to start with and in Dr Konior's hands it was always going to be awesome. Beautiful result.
  11. I tried to reply to this thread but wasn't allowed to. I have to say.... I'm genuinely interested in seeing a grown up debate about this. I've watched the videos on his website and you can't deny they're very transparent, as good as any I've seen documenting the procedure and impressive follow up results. And I'm not a newbie, nor can be accused of having a hidden agenda or anything do with 'them'. I'm just genuinely interested in knowing is he any good, and what is peoples beef with him, unscrupulous marketing (newbie posters, double posts) no doubt but what about his ability as a surgeon.....?
  12. Icehaid, looks great, super refined work as always from Konior and you can see the growth just starting to kick in. I think you're gonna be a very happy man in 4/5 months time. Please keep posting! GBU sorry to hijack your thread. You can get it back on track with your next update
  13. Icehaid, nice write up. And having consulted with Dr K over email, I found him to be every bit as considerate and dedicated as you have. Do you have any pics?
  14. If they were paid to be here, don't you think they'd be especially keen to give you their email? What clinic would pay someone to post their results and then ignore people who want to know to more about their experience / the clinic?! I think it's simply that once people get a good result they stop dwelling on their hair and spending time on forums, maybe chime in every now and then but really just get on with their lives.
  15. Awesome. Fantastic for one hit given your level of loss. Some clearer pics would be nice but that aside, great way to respond to the previous post.
  16. Just came across this thread. FUET stay clear of Armani. Heed the warnings of people on this board.
  17. This is why it's so important to see patients posting their results and story. Robbie good for you telling us how it was. In terms of the final result, I have to agree with Spanker, you would expect more grafts for an area that size and most docs would have quoted as much. And it's a pain in the ass for the patient to have to go through it all again if there was a chance he could've achieved the desired density in one pass. That said credit to the doc for the procedure undertaken..., when a patient says that almost all of the grafts grew, the scar isnt even noticeable and there is a significant cosmetic improvement (robbie it makes a huge difference to framing your face) then it's hardly cause for criticism of the docs ability, just his recommendation perhaps.
  18. Slickrick as some others have commented, it would be good to see some pics...
