  1. Bertie I'm going through the same thing. I had surgery 7 weeks ago and return to work in 2. The answer to your question is, unsurprisingly, it depends. It depends on the number of grafts you get, how much existing hair you have and therefore whether concealers will be useful. Your skin type, how quickly you heal, the surgeon etc etc. You really need to post a pic to be able to get more specific opinions/ suggestions as to how you will look and ways you could cover it up. On the plus side SMG post ops always really impress me. Very neat with minimal trauma to the recipient.... needless to say, an excellent starting point.
  2. Beautiful result. His whole hair seems to have thickened up but you're saying he's not on meds?
  3. What a thatch that is! Wow.... looks awesome Greatjob, that's some serious density!! I'm so pleased for you. And so pleased to see this update, my recipient looks very similar to yours at each stage so far, very little scabbing at week 1, very similar to your week 2 and again at one month. I was worrying a little that most Rahal patients I'd seen have quite a bit of scabbing and I didnt get much at all (as odd as that sounds as something to be worried about! )... I know we all heal differently etc, I guess it's just reassuring to see similarities with success stories especially in the early stages whilst your waiting for things to happen. Anyways looking great mate! As an aside did you ever use any concealers in the early months? I go back to work in 2 weeks, exactly 2 months post op and gonna have to do something to camouflage the gaps....
  4. It looks decent but your pics aren't the best for direct comparison. Try taking some a bit further back. The crown looks good. Who in the UK was it?
  5. Really? "I wouldn't write them off period, but start planning for a contingency and don't let them stretch the length of your scar too much."
  6. I'm always highly suspicious of posters endorsing products (and the need to stick with them to see results) on their first posts. Call me cynical and all.
  7. No he didn't. He hasn't even had a transplant and is just asking a hypothetical question as he states.
  8. Raphael great to see you chiming in and to hear how happy you are with things. I can totally understand the mindset to just want to step away from the whole hair loss/ talk thing after the weariness of researching, planning a HT, the surgery, the downtime and the fretting and the waiting afterwards. Look forward to the day when I can do the same! ha Anyway in light of the above look forward to seeing your next update just whenever you get around to it. All the best.
  9. Very nice matt! And such early days...
  10. Mike great to see your updates buddy, it's looking superb! What a transformation from your pre op and still more maturing to come! I understand what you're saying about the cost temptations abroad but I would think long and hard about it. No doubt you will but for what it's worth Rahal has done wonders for you already. You've got a great head of hair now at just 7 months. Great position to be in........ here's hoping he's done the same for me! I'm sure that crown will thicken out over the next 5 months. I hear you on the challenges of remaining patient tho!! ha
  11. I agree there definitely appears to be growth happening and those pics aren't the best for comparison IMO. A few shots showing the whole hairline, top down etc will be much better at establishing what's going on. Besides things are only starting to happen at 4.5 months. Are you on any meds/ supplements? If not it could take a little longer to come in.
  12. And that's cool. I'm all for light hearted and banter. I'm even more for people doing quality work, FUE or FUT. Anyway appreciate the cool reply. Peace out.
  13. Superb result. One of the best I've seen. Congrats to Dr Lorenzo Mick. As an aside though this FUE fanboy-ism is getting out of control. Does every good FUE result need to be cheered to the rafters and commented on as supporting the 'FUE debate' and a testimony to consigning the 'relic' that is FUT to the past?! Seriously. Aren't we all just guys trying to get our hair back in a way that best suits our own goals, circumstances?! It ignores the countless guys on here that have got exactly what they want with FUT (and then some in many cases). I have no desire to get into this debate, I'm just saying it's getting a bit mundane guys.
  14. Superb. Another fine example of the difference temple points and framing the face makes to a persons appearance.
  15. Martin, you're right on track. Whilst it's entirely normal to look worse at 3 months than you did pre op.... YOU really don't, I'm amazed you think you do. Comparing your pics youre def in a better place but more importantly massive improvements since your last post, things are starting to happen now. Sorry to trott out the usual cliches but 'patience'. I know it's hard... I'm only at 3 weeks post op myself.
  16. Alex significant progress again on last month. Great to see the donor recovering and growth really starting to kick in in the recipient now. Have you been using rogaine on the donor?
  17. It's expensive but what isn't in London. By and large FUE is expensive in Western Europe and N. America anyhow. With the pound so weak against the Euro right now it's probably not far off what Feriduni / Bisanga charge for FUE. Shame though. A quality HT in the UK will remain out of reach for many/ most, travel still the only option.
  18. Mike I couldn't agree more with Can't (weird sentence to write! ha).... I don't have the personal experience of having been to Rahal before/ grown out result I mean but, and I know you know this as well as anyone, 6 months is waaayy to early to be thinking about another procedure. Good to hear that you're not really and it's just excited impatience but I reckon at 12 months it's gonna be an incredible transformation! I mean it already is.... you look sooo different, your hairline is awesome it totally frames your face. To any but the most critical observers (i.e. yourself and guys on a HT forum evaluating your growth) you look like you've got pretty much a full head of hair again. Congrats mate. Stoked for you. As Can't said, for now just enjoy it
  19. Albine it looks great for only 4 months. It looks like you got a lot of growth very early but sure you can expect a lot more and thickening over the next 2/3 months. Congrats.
  20. Best of luck Midwest. A really personal story that I enjoyed reading (your other thread as well). Dr Konior seems like a real gentleman and it must be great comfort to be going back to a guy that has already produced the goods for you and is held in such high esteem. Good luck on the day, look forward to the updates!
