  1. Well, since the surgery wasnt like what was shown and nor showcase as told, it is obviously depressing. Inexperience i think was a big factor when my journey started, and marketing had a lot to do with it probably, including surgery protocol. Now, i am struggling to get this fixed after so many years. Damage was done and clearly caused issues. I am close to 40 now and been suffering for many years since this journey started.
  2. Dr Mwamba seems to be really good at it and replenishing donor area with alternative hairs. Dr Cooley I heard does it well too.
  3. Good luck and be careful. Approach with caution. I can tell you to proceed carefully with few grafts. Do not dense pack. Have everything in writing and ask for surgical consents prior to putting deposit. Ask what gaurantee if grafts do not grow. Your hair brings back memories and i wish i could turn back time. Im suffering at the moment. dr Freitas is decent. I would get multiple opinions though. Send consults off to Hasson Wong, Dr Feitas, Dr Keser, Etc. Dr Bisanga is also good for hairline work. best of luck and if you need to see how fue hair looks, you can always hit me up. If you live near, I can show in person.
  4. Tough to say at this point— they are supposed to give update July 21st on canadian travel, however, you never know what is happening due to delta variant spread. get a letter you are having surgery and call border patrol for up to date restrictions. That would be the best way. Best of luck
  5. Do not go see a hair surgeon at this stage. Try meds and rogaine after seeing a dermatologist. Get a blood workup to check vitamin d as well . you have signs of male pattern baldness but see how meds first. Stay away from docs until you allow meds to work a year in your body. there are great surgeons in US and Europe. Do not rush into this. I was in similar boat and got screwed and trying to get out of the mess.
  6. It is there and id say 50% at least. It can be permanent and if FUE done wrong, you can have it in your donor as well.
  7. I do not recommend over 1800-2000 grafts for a fue session in a single day. too long to extract safely and you do not want your grafts out of body for too long. Speed extraction leaves room for more errors as the surgery is very intricate and delicate. ive been through this so i am talking from surgical inflicted experience.
  8. I want to thank each and everyone that responded. I will post things here with photos and background and where I am now. I will respond to each one of you and want to thank you for your support. You can see my previous threads where reps responded and where my photos where at one point. Background from each surgery and photos will be posted and I am hoping an ethical doctor can assist.
  9. Well folks, I learned a lot of things in life and that is to not consider some surgeons as friends or think some folks genuinely care about you. It is all about the dollars in the end my friends. Very few are probably genuine. I think my open and friendly nature had me taken for a fool. From my first failed procedure to that doctors second failed repair attempt, it set me on a downward spiral. His nurse was new to extractions at the time and learning and he had a new planter from colorado join him at the time. Basically, A lot of room for errors were made and I ended up being some sort of guinea pig when I should have been patient. Fast forward and then that doctor told me to try another doctor to try new hands and I went to this doctor who was supposedly a repair doc. It made matters worse and things look more unnatural. He used other hairs and claimed he will do lateral slit but made matter worse and more unnatural. He used chest hairs and beard hairs and nape hairs etc. shocked the area more and i feel terrible. Hairline definitely didn’t go as planned with this doc and made matters worse due to the high level of unnaturalness. I believe in prayer and I believe in karma. To leave me hanging like this and making my situation worse, they’ve caused me great pain. The docs blamed each other and left me hanging. As it stands now, I need to get repaired as this hairline looks ridiculous for years. I just need a repair and I am getting older. These doctors robbed me of my youth and caused me immense pain. I see their cheerleaders time to time and hope others do not need multiple surgeries to move forward. Ironically I helped some of their former patients by helping them discuss and get repairs elsewhere. Many people from various doctors reach out to me with various repair concerns as well. I try my best to send them to the right people via honest approach. Most folks new to hair transplants and those with positive outcomes after my assistance have been happy- that works as a redemption for me. I am able to save someone from what I couldn’t save myself from. I am in need of a repair now. If any doctor, that considers themselves ethical, are willing to take a look and see if you can do something, please feel free to send a message. I would really like to move forward with my life and hope those that I did email, would respond as well. Thank You!
  10. Looks like ridging. Could happen due to excess scarring due to chunkier grafts. I had some after Dr Rahal failed procedures, but it increased quite a bit after Dr Umar’s failed repair attempt on my scalp. I have cobblestoning as well. Hopefully, this is repairable.
  11. To see surgical consent forms you are expected to sign during surgery. This is prior to paying your deposit. also, what are the options you will give me if their is failure or limited growth for the grafts given?
  12. Actually, some hairpieces these days look better than transplants and may be viable for folks with donor shortages. Rather than getting leg, armpit, pube hairs or etc due to donor supply, this may be a better route and will fill in more and look more natural i think. only downside is really maintenance , your skin is protected and you are not surgically scarred. it is ones like these that are impressive https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMe7VA8n6/
  13. Looks like ridging from dense grafting or using chunkier grafts in the area and etc . Really limited on what you can do. I have a bigger area from the damage done to my scalp which includes ridging and cobblestoning. i’d reach out to Dr Mwamba, Dr Bisanga, and Dr Cooley to see what can be done
  14. Work looks clean and refined. Glad you are able to get it corrected.
  15. I wouldnt recommend a forehead reduction at all on a virgin scalp unless you have ample stabilized hair behind the resection point. If you lose more hair in future then it defeats the purpose. now, if you end up being damaged or destroyed by unethical frontal hairline grafting and surgery 2-3 times, like I have, then due to scar tissue, ridging, cobblestoning, etc, you may have to resect that frontal scar tissue out completely. It will be like a forehead resection to get rid of badly worked and damaged tissue from previous transplant. Each scenario has its own merits. Best of luck.
  16. Bisanga and Mwamba. Yield looks decent and hair recipient insertion looks more natural. They dont need to use high quantities of grafts either to have a distinct result. Mist be doing something different and something right. Compare the number of hairs used to the result at hand. Is it overly see through or has it hit its targets. Do you want to use topik with a transplant or be without products when you need to function?
  17. I wish i got a repair stimulus. This Stimulus is so little, id have to use it on groceries. surgeries basically made a man bankrupt. Thanks to the disasters and unethical moves. the repairs are now at a higher price and with many unknowns.
  18. Id say the amount of loss was extreme initially. 10k grafts well spent and designed natural with proper hair angle directional approaches. I Do not see density losses. Do not see hair going in all directions. This dr can deliver some serious real estate with scalp hairs. No need for toppik either. No scalp scar tissue hyperpigmentation noted. Well done! This patient must be happy!
  19. Congrats, Dr Vories is the one surgeon i know of in North America that harvests the grafts himself. Hope to see this grown out!
  20. Thank you! I hope you get the right surgeon for this and your goals are met as you discussed them. Remember, stay alert for folks that are promoting their docs if they've had surgeries and they go back to them over and over when things were expected to be done the first time around. Chances are deals are struck and you want to find neutral honest folks. After the covid control situation, I should be available to show the effects and donor and all in person. Esp when it comes to the nape, body, beard and etc with my hair type. How to see pitting and ridging and etc. I am taking a look at few routes but we will see. Will keep you updated. I agree, Konior does great hairlines too. remember, lateral slit matters for recipient sites. Aside from that you don’t want hairs going in all sorts of directions in hairline. Groupings have to be accurate. The last you need is to look like you got an electric shock or woke up from bed when you set and style your hair to go out. This can be evident with other hairs. There should be no density patches to make it seems you have losses as if there has been some sort of fungal infection. This is both for recipient zones and donor zones. You also should not have to worry about going into a pool and then seeing massive density losses after any type of body hair transplantation. Aside froM that, the recipient zone skin should not be in a lighter colored hue due to excessive scarring. It may be hyperpigmented due to excessive trauma if areas are reworked. wish you the best and will be looking out for your updates
  21. Looks good, looks very natural and you cant tell you had work done. Nothing looks off. i see you had grafts in the crown too, how is that area? suits your face cut really well. Congrats
  22. Based on the level of loss initially, 7000 grafts seemed to go a long way. Considering you have scalp and remaining like 1400 beard hair mixed, it looks quite natural. The ratio seems to have been done carefully by the doc. one thing that strikes out is the natural angulation of hair angles, as it seems to be placed in a way where it mimics native hair. Looks like proper angulations were set for the hairs. aside from that, it seems you do not need to use toppik. The yield looks reasonable vs the number o f grafts used. Looking at your donor, there seems to be no trauma or density issues. Aside from that, there seems to be no pitting or skin color variation in scalp tissue where the grafts were planted. Looks natural, congrats!
  23. NJ area Yes, Dr Konior has nice hairlines, but i am trying to find ones that used nape that are not on finasteride or rogaine. I havent personally seen nape results on here or many that clearly indicate. Since you will not use finasteride, it will be good to see growth of true nape, as rogaine and finasteride can regrow finer vellus hairs, which can be mistaken for nape hairs. Those using these meds could have regrowth of natural finer vellus hairs to a noticeable degree and can cause variances. I haven’t seen Mustangs, but wondering if hair texture and caliber via microns is similar to most folks. How much nape was taken? How many grafts as they are only one hair grafts? Was a motorized or manual punch used, this will be interesting to see what yielded the success. Dr Zarev, i havent seen the chest hair result and yes due to bht, most folks are not prescribed finasteride as it can alter growth cycles for body hairs. They (bht) may shed, when scalp hair grow, vice versa and have completely different growth cycles due to finasteride. I was told not to take it by the doctor when he did nape and chest and beard. the surgeries and growth with chest hair is extremely rare to see online, esp if within your particular hair type and micron density . I have seen folks that are slick bald that had chest and other hairs but they had more than 10,000 grafts and it is still see through and sparse. Aside from That it is harder to control direction and angles with that hair when implanting. And some folks i saw had extremely thick chest hair even then it was see through result on a bald head. i had 2 with the surgeon you mentioned, but third was with Umar and chest, nae, beard hairs were used, it made area look even more unnatural and shocked some of my other hairs it seems. My goals were not met and it was evident there was further damage to scalp it seems. Rahal seemed to be unhappy about the ordeal, but now I looking for ways to correct it properly so I can live with peace. Some surgeons mentioned other approaches and it may require resection to other things, but ultimately small procedures 2-3 to maybe get it fixed and those surgeons I spoke with say it can be done but they have to do it with care. After being let down, you can imagine the anxiety in getting in the chair. In any case, some of my photos went missing from my thread and i havent gotten around to making a thorough report. I will probably make one in time after when I can get repaired successfully. It helps documenting surgeries, and if you forget to catch up, it can add to lots of headaches going through data and emails, chats, monthly pictures go organize it all. Based on this, you should continue to keep a good log and it will help you tons. You learn a lot in this industry and realize a lot. Can’t rely on clinic posted results or anyone that has vested interests with clinics, discount surgeries, free surgeries, high defense relationships online, and etc. Talking to folks who have no interest are hard to find and sometimes will give it to folks as is. I am just one of the folks that have been through hell and would not want anyone to go through it. Don’t take anything I say as an argument, as I am not trying to come Off like that. I was in the shoes where I relied heavy on what some docs said and promised and I am In a bad spot today. Ive spoken to numerous industry experts and definitely, my procedures could have been done differently etc etc. In any case, it is imperative, you get this in writing from any doc- i would like to confirm if nape hairs in my hairline will be permanent and grow in same yield as scalp hair. Do they have same growth cycles? Do they look natural and will they answer my goals in one surgery? Will they transition well with my native hairs? Are there any risks with native hairs? What are your yields with other body hairs? seriously wish you best with this and Dr Mwamba is good
