  1. Thank you bro, i hope so too. yes, most of us have many nape hair. I agree and I was in a similar assumption prior to this damage. Extraction for that hair is more fragile. If you notice nape hair grow but not as long as scalp hairs overall. It kind of has its own cycle. Aside from that, they are way too thin, even if they did grow after successful implantation, they look soo sparse that your natural dense hair behind them will make the hairline transition effect look unnatural. Nape hair is not permanent, it becomes diffuse with age. id only recommend beard hair for filler hair. Not rejecting body hair but it is very poorly yielding and looks too unnatural. If You get a 20,000 graft procedure and maybe 3,000 will grow. Aside from that, finasteride may mess with growth cycles of body hair on your scalp. Your scalp hair and body hair will grow and shed maybe at different times. If you are local, after corona settles, i can show you in person.
  2. I agree with many commenting. I suffer from similar issue but my hairline has less density and looks very unnatural. Do not use body hairs. No nape, no beard, no chest, for hairline at all whatsoever. Im in bad situation that led me down a bad road and Im in worse shape cause of it now. Beard may be viable but to repair scars and minor fillers here and there, but not on hairline. Refining hairline is key right now for you. Try to get it to look natural. This may take one or two procedures and keep the procedure small. Reach out to docs who can do repairs, start with Mwamba, Bisanga, Cooley, Lindsey, Wesley. See what they have to say. I want to make it known I have no affiliation with any doc, but as a person who is going through this, I’m passionate in helping others as well. best of luck to you. I know how painful this is and it is not easy. Im suffering as well. Hope your goals are answered
  3. HW probably the best in Canada. And they are up there worldwide as well
  4. Well, it can end up being $18k or $25k, but if it ends up being a repair, you’ll lose that and you will probably pay more to get it fixed. you may be told you need 2-3 small surgeries to fix it. I am trying to find a solution to get repaired by a doctor that wont let me down. The doctor did not answer goals and fix, but set me back further. the docs that led me here , in this state, can enjoy their life, while i continue to suffer and I will never forget. But Glad i am able to help folks out, many reach out for support, and that does make me feel good. Saving lives is important. Ultimately, I hope i will be able to get out of this mess soon.
  5. Melvin, i am having hard time. I am looking at amazon. Is the top $16 item similar functionality to dermatch? Dermatch is like $47 plus tax. Honestly, i wish I can get out of this nightmare. Financial damages to getting repaired are hurting me as well. Doctor left me with repair mess that requires much more financially than what I put down. my goals were never addressed as discussed. I am hoping this dermatch addresses area temporarily, where Dr was supposed to address and fix on my scalp. so frustrated with this
  6. Do not step in the chair yet. If meds are not distinctly improving the scalp, then a ht will be a chasing situation. hairs that are finer will have hard time during extraction process. I’d wait a year to see if meds continue to improve hair quality and growth. Have you used oral finasteride tablets?
  7. Othersyde, been a while, Lookin good, hairline looks great, scar looks much better. Significant change all around. Awesome! Happy for you!
  8. Hopefully, it fills in more in next two months. That will be your indicator. You should have more growth but again, it is based on density planted.
  9. If you have fine hair, fue may be an aggressive procedure if suction and motorized extractions are used. You may need to look for a doctor that can utilize manual punch for less risk to such hairs during extraction. Get consults from Dr Hasson, Dr Keser, Dr Cuoto, Dr Ferreira, Dr Feriduni, To start.. remember to compare every quote and see what each doc recommends— majority opinion should be your baseline on graft counts good luck
  10. Both methods are here to stay. I was told false claims that FUE matches FUT yield many years ago, but depending on hair type it may be closer to a result of distinct illusion today.
  11. I sure hope it can be repaired. I am a person that has been harmed by this by those doctors that touched my scalp. Very sad about this. I am exhausted. I wish he didnt do this to me and lead me towards this path. He gave me assurances over and over i am repairable after he damaged and here i am still, just waiting.
  12. This is why it matters to go to a person that knows how to do hairlines with proper lateral slit. Very few doctors can do this.
  13. HDC has a nice result above. i’d also mention Dr Hasson as having some attention to detail and lateral slit perfection. Maybe if he touched my scalp, he can fix my situation.
  14. Excellent! This is great. But if you have shocked hairs and scarred tissue with reduced density in that zone, toppik is hard to apply and will stand out to folks under certain lights. Ive tried it few times and it was manageable to some level with my first doctor who failed at restoration, but it is harder to apply on the failed work the second doctor left me with.
  15. Absolutely, Authentic reviews matter indeed and I hope many folks post such reviews. It only gets tough if a former patient is due to get touch up, or graft discount deals, or etc., the review can be tarnished. Or if someone has been told not to post anymore due to new agreements. I’ve known many folks like that. But I agree, authentic reviews help save lives and may prevent disasters like I am facing today.
  16. Ive met many forum members at a personal level, called, spoke, helped etc. Covid kind of slowed things down but it is great to meet folks that understand. Best if all, it helps save lives too from making rush decisions.
  17. Hang in there. Rooting for you. Hope you get what you desire when it is all grown out.
  18. What a great repair here. Dr Bisanga is better then most other repair surgeons it seems. Especially, looking at this result. He utilized minimal grafts. At first I thought it read 18,000 grafts, but it only was 1,800 grafts. Great work. Patient is happy and that is key. I wish I can enjoy life like this one day.
  19. Dr Blake Bloxham, Dr Hasson, Dr Wesley, and I can keep going. TRUE lateral slit matters if getting work done on hairlines and Dr Hasson can probably deliver that well.
  20. Avoid SMP if you just had a procedure and awaiting results. In fact, avoid it 18 months at least to let your hair cycles return to normal. Get a sample 2-3 smp dots ok your arms to see if your allergic to it first. Also, if any med conditions or chemo check with a doctor. Best of luck
  21. Hey Bill, how are you doing? How is your hair holding up after so many years? Hasson & Wong did a great job.
  22. I hope it can as I may need a resection to repair the bs hairline work and cobblestoning, ridging, and various scar tissue from that bogus dense packing and other issues. I am counting on a successful repair by the right doctor.
  23. It could be a widows peak dominated hairline. Dont worry, your too young. Enjoy your life. I made a mistake when i went in the surgical chair. I am now now trying to get out of the situation with a hairline issue that was similar to what youve described including recession. mine looked like that guy from adams family
