  1. I think this is highly repairable. You should be ok. Have you found any willing to take your case? let us know who you decide with. I need someone to fix this repair dilemma rahal has put me in. Hairline and etc.
  2. Go with someone that can do proper lateral slit for your hairline. High dense packing may be too risky. There are some good surgeons here and there. Have you reached out to folks like Dr Keser or Dr Freitas? Being cheap or expensive isn’t the issue, the issue is a proper surgical protocol and care. You can find issues with expensive surgeons too. Just be careful and hope no one ends like me.
  3. Excellent hairline. Lateral designed and good technique for spread out extractions. Looks very natural- this is key. Dr Freitas, have you done repairs as well that ended up like this?
  4. Even a 3000 grafts fue extraction if done wrong can create density loss or a compressed noticeable extraction pattern in the back of the head. Like a strip of duct tape pattern. It happened to me during first procedure. Should be spread out and away from scar lines If you are doing FUE. should be done by experienced surgeon and not a nurse or tech- extraction that is. Also, tools and punch size may matter. Dek lo
  5. Dont do 3000 in one go. Break it up by half to see how the hair takes if anything. One year apart. 3016 grafts set me up for a nightmare with dense packing. To this day im struggling getting this repaired. He took many years away from my life. Never kept his word in full.
  6. Longtimelurker, how are you doing now? It has been a while. Have you found any solutions or left it as is? Hope all is well.
  7. Hang in there. It takes at least a year to see effects of finasteride. Some Folks try the triple combo, finasteride, minoxidil, and ketoconazole shampoo. One thing may help more then the other. You can ask your derm about this option. Then some folks also try the combo above and a dermaroller as well. Something may work better for someone else vs you, vice versa. are your vitamin D levels in the blood good? That can also be a factor. Healthy diet with adequate vitamin d, b, can help. you can also take, if you can tolerate, biotin, vitamins, fish oil as an added layer of protection. Again, good to work with doctor on this but I like to eliminate outliers and keeping yourself healthy with right nutrients is key . Giving up is not the right phrase but I can feel the pain. My stagnant situation hurts me more and more. I have been trying to get successful repair for years. I am aging and it has really put a damper on my life.
  8. I agree with you Melvin, characteristics are key to this. Fine or bushy beard can be problematic. Out of other hairs, beard is probably more reliable vs nape and chest. If there were chest only results or nape only results, it is easier to see what the prob is. Beard hair has been good for scars and even some crown areas. Good filler hair if you run outta ammo. I wouldn't utilize these hairs though if you have scalp hair that can support the procedure. Even seen some decent donor repair with beard hair etc. Unfortunately, i’ve been let down. You can say a person does not want others to go through what one went through themselves. Genuinely, care for folks and would not want them to end up like me. I want to make it clear, prior posts of mine above are not criticizing Eugenix. Just urge folks to exercise caution with their options.
  9. Looks like distinct change but I don't think this represents the majority of cases. This is a rare case like this and depends on beard texture and caliber+ many other things. This case is also just not beard hair. It is mixture between scalp, beard, and chest. 4 sittings and 11,000 grafts planted in phases . Beard and chest may be good for filler hair but id caution it for hairlines. He was also mostly bald, not much native hair to work around or shock. The hairline after all that is combed sideways. Look at how it is if pulled up or parted or combed forward. How does the hairline look and is there a solid lateral angle or is the hair in different angles upon closer inspection. Does it match with other hairs or create toupe feel? Only way to judge is to honestly see in person and maybe feel the hair. That also helps see if no toppik is involved. So many things to look for. Again, i just stated from my experience and talking with other body hair patients. I have no incentive to make a negative or positive statement. But Id urge folks to proceed with such hairs with utmost caution, unless doctors determine adequate physiology and hair characteristics for this. It is not a procedure widely done and for such reasons. A lot of outliers out there but this hair surgery is risky as is. Adding more variables like this adds another layer of added risk. Just do the best you can and meet many patients. Anyone want to see me in person, holler. Best of luck to all.
  10. Talk to your doctor. Make sure the area is healing properly by sending him/her pics. Do not apply anything unless they mention it is ok. That’s Just in case if something else triggers and itch. Usually, some docs may prescribe hydroxyzine tablets if there is an excess itch or allergy. Good luck
  11. Fue can cause scarring irrespective of what doctors may have said. As far as punch size it matters, also the tool. Is it saline auction, air suction, high speed motorized drill? keep in mind certain ethnicities and hair types may not have viable hair for FUE extraction as the tool or motorized element can damage the graft during extraction. Thin hair is very fragile and excess heat and level of torsion during extraction can be detrimental. Even hair extracted out if body and time outside body is something that can impact a graft. It is a very delicate process overall and takes great length to make sure grafts are viable. also, if you go to extracting other body hairs, that is a different ball game. If a surgeon extracts in a wreckless compressed shape or pattern, it can leave a density loss mark in donor. If they do this in a rectangle shape, you will have a rectangular halo in the back of the head that shows with a fade, which is probably worse then a strip scar. Talking from experience and that scenario
  12. It all depends on your hair caliber, age, ethnic background. -Body hair can mess with existing hairs and throw off growth cycles, maybe even shock previously planted scalp hair in the same zone? -normally, it does not grow the same way. Length is not as big as scalp hair. -it can look unnatural due to harsh texture changes on scalp if it grows -based on email from Dr Umar, you can’t take finasteride after you get these hairs - nape hair - def do not use it unless you have thick nape, not sure of viability -very very few docs use these other hairs- it should be the last last last resort (expansive repairs or burns or scars to help with, or density loss in donor etc) -angulation is all over the place with body hair as it does not follow the norm of scalp hair angulation - worst hair to use on hairlines unless you conceal your hairline forward- even though some surgeons can tell you they can do lateral slit with it, that does not seem to be honest -it is more fragile hair in general when it comes to extraction -you need a good surgeon with good tools- i really think manual slow and steady non motorized hand extraction is a key element for this fragile body hair. Any saline based suction or air suction devices would probably be risky due to fragile nature - don’t fall for the marketing. If someone needs 5,000 or 10,000+ Body hair grafts to attain a semi result, then that is questionable. If a surgeon can take 2,000-3,000 body hair grafts and make a distinct change that looks natural on scalp, then the surgeon is getting excellent yield and doing something right I can keep going…
  13. For the common poster, Easy to detect trolls based on posting behavior- esp if you track the history of those posters to study the habits and commenting techniques. Just need to stay alert really- 1) previous patients may have deals for free and discounted surgeries for sharing results- so always take some opinions carefully as they may be skewed 2) amount of rancid defense towards a surgeon that screwed up some patients hair, then you see the trolls downplaying those patient(s) on their threads across forums If you can criticize a result of the doctor you went to just as you can praise one, you may have some credibility. There are so many factors to this, but when you are in the game for a while, you can sniff out trolls. On the information technology side, certain agencies have expensive software that can detect IP on servers— that can translate and actually see the IP of who is posting to compare. Normally, it is very easy for mods to see and compare IP on their forums with the UI Modal they have access to, but agencies equally have excellent interfaces thats can track- even down to the email and address level based on IP hits. Based on the software they use, algorithm, and access to other web services, they can pull amazing data and details. Edward Snowden and team made a killer program for the military. Still being used today and enhanced considerably. It is pretty neat but some contracting firms and agencies that help with investigations have those tools as well. Best way to avoid any troll is to ask to see the person in public and view their results. Obviously, due to covid, some folks may be reluctant. But if they praise a surgeon and have nothing to show for it, well there is your answer. The benefit of showing some folks in person as to what a scalp looks like after surgery can actually help a lot of folks make decisions. They can see the real extent of surgery and/or concerns. Especially, if their hair type and goals are similar to yours.
  14. Let meds take a full year to see the effect. Surgery is definitely last resort. It can create more probs if done wrong. You definitely do not want that. I am a person that is going through that.
  15. There is a lot of hidden gems in Turkey and across the globe. Maybe if I would have gone elsewhere, my results would have been ok. I am now a guy waiting for repair.
  16. Go for an ethical doctor. My situation is bad so Id recommend taking it nice and slow. Don’t believe the hype or marketing.
  17. Looks fine- eat healthy and try to remain stress free. Looks natural and how it should be.
  18. You can find super smp at more places now. Make sure it is temporary and you can be ok with a shade look. I would get it done at a place that does solely smp and has thousands of smp clients to show for and maybe introduce you to. Best of luck.
  19. Expectations are mentioned and some doctor give gaurantees and says things like it can be done and you will be showcase, your density is nice, and etc. In reality, you may end up with issues later and only time could tell. when it comes to hairline markings they may use a thick eyeliner pencil to draw a pattern and then do something slightly different and uneven. It happens. Best you can do is get video evidence at time of meeting and something in writing. Always use a finer pencil or pen to show hairline and to keep it consistent during surgery.
  20. Some folks have slight density losses in that area as is and it is natural. You can try, after talking to your doctor, a little rogain foam to stimulate growth. Some people general itch that area or twist hairs there out if habits, wearing glasses also compresses that zone with traction little bit too.
  21. Honestly 1500 months apart is not a bad idea to keep healing optimal and scalp safer. Rahal did 3016 in one day when it was scheduled originally for two. All i know it was very long. Lots of room for errors and when the yield and shape of hairline was not as dense as promised or outlined, then it was due to the high density in a smaller zone that caused more issues. Honestly, I am still trying to get repaired to this day and it has really affected me negatively. with 1500 grafts you can safely gauge real growth without wasting another 1500 grafts. If it doesnt grow well then you did not waste too much nor deplete your donor and can stop safely. If you do 3000 grafts, it can be significant hit on your donor and if it doesnt grow well then you are held hostage as you paid a lot and risked priceless grafts in the process. This isnt a cut and dry successful procedure. Ive spoke to thousands who went back into the chair to so call tweak or fix and etc. most of the time they do not post so they do not break with the clinic due to funds or free repairs etc. out of body graft time should be kept to minimum and multiple patients should not be worked on when you have surgery. People talk about fue fatigue but do not say a word when a doc is doing fue on you then two other strip patients simultaneously which is wrong. Fatigue is fatigue and if you are paying thousands for a procedure then the focus should be you you but the dollars and cents matter in the end. I am going to say it as is. best of luck to you and please be super careful. I do not want anyone to face what I am facing.
  22. It may or may not —mine did not heal fully after the first procedure. The way the doctor extracted it created that halo and stencil of donor depletion on me. To this day i have issues.
  23. Fine hair? Be careful with FUE and harsh extraction methods. See results with your exact hairtype first. Out of body graft time is important. Id limit exessive grafts and break this surgery up months apart rather than one go with a lot of grafts. best of luck— i had it bad as my first was a 3016 grafts session in a smaller frontal area dense packed. It seems to have made things downhill
  24. Nape nor beard hair is fully permanent. Yield is extremely low. Nape is very fragile. in my case, both seem to be problematic. Does not look natural.
