  1. I agree that your post op recovery appears to be right on track. The scabs should be falling off over the next few days. At this point they are not going to get dislodged or fall out.
  2. Having Retrograde Alopecia does not necessarily eliminate a patient from being a candidate for a HT. However, it would definitely reduce the size of the available donor area and limit the number of follicular unit grafts that could be harvested for transplantation.
  3. I agree very hard to tell. That is why I like to take very good immediate post operative photos so we can look back and see if certain areas did not come out as well as others. No bleeding means no grafts dislodged. However a grafts might still not grow even if it did not appear to come out before healing.
  4. I know it is really hard to turn down fresh powder. Most likely nothing would happen, but if things do not go well you will always wonder if it was the skiing that had a negative impact.
  5. Awesome story. Dr. Parsa does great work. It nice to see someone make a positive change in their life. Enjoy. Life is short!
  6. This 37 year old male had 1771 FUT grafts transplanted in the vertex area in a single session. Photos show before surgery, and then 13 months post surgery. Patient is extremely pleased with results. 1771 grafts, male FUT.pdf
  7. How wide the transition zone of staggered single fine hairs needs to be differs depending on the type of hair the patient has including color, texture, and caliper.
  8. The crown area does not have to same blood supply as other areas on the scalp. Over packing that region during a single procedure may not have any additional benefit.
  9. Lots of pre operative sedatives. These procedures take a long time.
  10. Dr. Konior does excellent work and is very detail oriented. I am sure that undetectability and a natural appearance are his highest priorities.
  11. Yes you can place grafts in between existing hair. However, if the existing hairs are weak and close to shedding on their own the stress of the surgery might push them over the edge. You need to be ok with the possibility of taking a small step backwards before taking a larger step forward.
  12. The saline based post operative sprays ( H2Ocean, Graftcyte) tend to promote scab formation while also decreasing erythema and inflammation. The ointment based post operative solutions tend to minimize scab formation and allow healing in a moist environment. There is opposing opinions as to which method is better. I have tried both methods and seen good results with both.
  13. Looks like you might have male pattern hair loss which may make you a candidate for hair restoration surgery. Do you have other males in your family with a similar hair loss pattern? Do you feel that your donor area has thinned also or has it maintained its original density?
  14. These do not look like follicles to me. Probably just delayed shedding of grafted hairs or normal cyclical shedding.
  15. I suggest 1500-1700 Follicular unit grafts in a single session. There is no mystery as to what direction to place the grafts because you still have some original hairs in all the areas that will be transplanted. You have a road map still there for the doctor to follow.
  16. Even the single hair follicular units should be separated placing the thinner/finer grafts in a staggered/irregular pattern in the very front with the tihicker/coarser grafts behind.
  17. This 61 year old male had 2407 FUT grafts transplanted in the vertex area in a single session. Photos show before surgery and then 7 months post surgery. Patient is very pleased with results. Male 61 years old 2407 FUT.pdf
  18. I think your results look very natural and one can always say after a HT that "I was hoping for more density"
  19. You are looking at approximately 200 follicles per eye brow. It appears that you need more towards the middle and lateral aspect of the eye brows compared to the medical portion.
  20. Remember two patients with the same NW5 hair loss pattern both receiving 3300 follicular unit grafts in the same distribution method can end up with a very different final result.
  21. Your result would also depend other factors including hair color, texture , and caliper. Technique used and the growth success percentage.
  22. If you posted a few photos of course with face blocked to conceal identity I would be glad you give you a recommendation on how many follicular unit would be necessary in you case. I do quite a few eye brow restoration cases but there are also several other physicians here in the U.S. as well as overseas that perform this procedure.
  23. I generally recommend oil free sun block as soon as the scabs have fallen off. Even a little sun exposure early post operatively can cause a lasting redness.
  24. Hard to say if one procedure or 2000-2500 follicular unit grafts will be enough for you, The best way to get the most out of a persons donor area over a lifetime is with multiple strip procedures versus multiple FUE procedures.
