Regular Member LeBerry Posted June 22, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 22, 2022 9 Months post surgery update Good day everyone, Sorry for being a little bit late with the 9 month update. It is a quick one this time. Feels like I have hit my final result. On a side note I started seeing some more hairloss the past weeks, might also be due to the start of summer and rising temperatures (hence shirtless pictures). Still not using any products apart from when I occasionally go out, then I will put about two pea-sizes of wax. I will keep track of any developments and plan to post at least up to the 12 month mark! Couldn't be more satisfied, big thanks to Dr. Bisanga and the team for delivering the way they have. Wish you all a great Wednesday,

Regular Member SilentUser Posted June 22, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted June 22, 2022 (edited) Absolutely amazing. How long did you wait for consultation and date of surgery? And may I ask how much you paid? Edited June 22, 2022 by SilentUser

How long did you wait for consultation and date of surgery? And may I ask how much you paid? I had my consultation back in April 2020 as I was orienting myself. Then I picked up contact to the clinic again as I have not been in a rush in Mai 2021 to ask for an oral Minox prescription as I wanted to add this to my regime and also as I was planning to do the HT. I asked for any slots in late September 2021 and they so happened to be available. Bear in mind that this was coming out of another lockdown, now covid is in the background and I have no sight on the schedule of the clinic. Considering the price I suggest you to consider what is in your budget and if the operation is not yet, maybe you can save a couple of months or even a year extra to get the treatment at the desired clinic. Since if you feel like one clinic is the best one to help you, price most certainly should be on a secondary position. Even today we still see results that could have been better if price would not have played a big argument. Ask yourself if you really need to have the operation done quickly (maybe because you want to get ready for the pictures of your wedding) or if it does not matter all to much and you can use some extra time saving for a top clinic which will give you the best result (as far as it can be expected, because so many variables are at play and there never is a guaranteed result). The best is to book a consultation upon interest, which I also did way in advance with several clinics. See what your feeling with the clinic is in general and then ask what the current pricepoint is. Based upon this you can make an educated decision. Also, always book consultations with several different clinics and try to research results posted by patients like on this, and other forums to get a realistic view on their level. BHR is there at the top, but still not the most expensive and even reasonably priced compared to some of the top clinics in Turkey.

Senior Member BLE123 Posted June 24, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted June 24, 2022 This is a great result. Your hair before really wasn't doing you any favours(no offence), some guys can pull it off but on others it's a killer. It's amazing how much difference a hairline can make to your appearance.

Thank you man! I also appreciate the honesty. I was kind of happy with that status even considering the degradation I was seeing before. However my dominant forehead and relatively young appearing facial characteristics just did not make it work. It truly changed things big time and I am happy to have followed through on it. 👍🏼

Last I heard, Bisanga charges 5€ per graft, if he does the extractions and incisions. I believe it is less if you let his staffer, Dr. Kostis, do the extractions. Something like that. Belgium also charges 21% VAT. My price was less than that, like I said best consult the clinic and ask their current price points to be certain what terms would apply for you. Also I did not have to pay the VAT as I am no Belgian resident. This makes the service intra-EU and therefore 0%. I think you only need to pay this if your address is registered in Belgium. I paid less than that, too. I'm from the US and had to pay VAT. Maybe there's some intra-EU exception? Not sure. Mo83
Your results are amazing! You must be over the moon!!! But I really wonder about that you don’t need to pay the VAT. First time I hear this. I got a surgery at another Belgium clinic and I asked if there is any way to avoid the VAT and they told me no. I am from Germany and I don’t have any Belgium address. Did the doctor tells you about that the 0% VAT rule applies to EU-Citizens without an registration in Belgium? Would be great to hear from you.

I believe if your procedure is considered a "repair", as in your previous transplant was botched, the VAT is also waived. Who knows? So many rumors out there. Hi Mo, Thank you! Yes I am very grateful. I am Dutch but was also registered in Germany at the time of the surgery. The doctor did not tell me this but it is what I think the reason is, this should be clarified by someone who's an expert however.

Raphael84
Thanks Melvin Price changes at the clinic have been well discussed on the forum over the last months and based on the timeline of @LeBerry journey, his surgery was prior to any such changes. The requirement for tax is a Belgian law in relation to elective cosmetic surgery that was introduced in 2016. It is not specific to hair restoration, but is a requirement nonetheless and a patients nationality or country of residence does not have any influence on the requirement. For case or situation specifics then by all means follow up with your advisor who will be able to clarify what may be required, but this is not unique to BHR but to all clinics for all cosmetic procedures within Belgium. For those who are in communication with other clinics, then each clinic should be able to advise in relation to their personal policies. We have been advised that this law may actually be revised later this year. With that being said, @LeBerry has presented his case excellently in creating his own personal patient thread and by the response and interaction from the forum, it has been welcomed and well received and so I think it is only fair that the thread remains on topic of LeBerrys surgery experience and result. 2 Patient Advisor for Dr. Bisanga - BHR Clinic ian@bhrclinic.com - BHR YouTube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcH4PY1OxoYFwSDKzAkZRww I am not a medical professional and my words should not be taken as medical advice.
