  1. Hi Mo, Thank you! Yes I am very grateful. I am Dutch but was also registered in Germany at the time of the surgery. The doctor did not tell me this but it is what I think the reason is, this should be clarified by someone who's an expert however.
  2. That is correct, the 0% VAT rule only applies to EU-Citizens without registered address in Belgium. Off-topic: Just checked your result, turned out great man. Congratulations!
  3. My price was less than that, like I said best consult the clinic and ask their current price points to be certain what terms would apply for you. Also I did not have to pay the VAT as I am no Belgian resident. This makes the service intra-EU and therefore 0%. I think you only need to pay this if your address is registered in Belgium.
  4. Thank you man! I also appreciate the honesty. I was kind of happy with that status even considering the degradation I was seeing before. However my dominant forehead and relatively young appearing facial characteristics just did not make it work. It truly changed things big time and I am happy to have followed through on it. 👍🏼
  5. I had my consultation back in April 2020 as I was orienting myself. Then I picked up contact to the clinic again as I have not been in a rush in Mai 2021 to ask for an oral Minox prescription as I wanted to add this to my regime and also as I was planning to do the HT. I asked for any slots in late September 2021 and they so happened to be available. Bear in mind that this was coming out of another lockdown, now covid is in the background and I have no sight on the schedule of the clinic. Considering the price I suggest you to consider what is in your budget and if the operation is not yet, maybe you can save a couple of months or even a year extra to get the treatment at the desired clinic. Since if you feel like one clinic is the best one to help you, price most certainly should be on a secondary position. Even today we still see results that could have been better if price would not have played a big argument. Ask yourself if you really need to have the operation done quickly (maybe because you want to get ready for the pictures of your wedding) or if it does not matter all to much and you can use some extra time saving for a top clinic which will give you the best result (as far as it can be expected, because so many variables are at play and there never is a guaranteed result). The best is to book a consultation upon interest, which I also did way in advance with several clinics. See what your feeling with the clinic is in general and then ask what the current pricepoint is. Based upon this you can make an educated decision. Also, always book consultations with several different clinics and try to research results posted by patients like on this, and other forums to get a realistic view on their level. BHR is there at the top, but still not the most expensive and even reasonably priced compared to some of the top clinics in Turkey.
  6. Dude at 4 months you look like I do at 9 months and I couldn't be happier with my result at this stage. 😄 Incredible, congratulations!!
  7. 9 Months post surgery update Good day everyone, Sorry for being a little bit late with the 9 month update. It is a quick one this time. Feels like I have hit my final result. On a side note I started seeing some more hairloss the past weeks, might also be due to the start of summer and rising temperatures (hence shirtless pictures). Still not using any products apart from when I occasionally go out, then I will put about two pea-sizes of wax. I will keep track of any developments and plan to post at least up to the 12 month mark! Couldn't be more satisfied, big thanks to Dr. Bisanga and the team for delivering the way they have. Wish you all a great Wednesday,
  8. 8 Months post surgery update Hello everyone, Summer season is starting here with some nice temperatures, hence I am a few days late with my update. The maturing process just took another step and I am eager to find out how the further development will be. Haven't visited the barber yet this month and might be growing a little longer this time around but let's see. The current status: If anyone would like to have a specific type of photographs for the next update please let me know
  9. Work looks really solid mate, super that you took the step! Happy growing. I will post my 8 month update later today 👍
  10. Thank you man 🙏 Some further maturing has happened again so looking forward posting the 8 month update in a little less than 10 days. On the units per cm2 I have no idea, maybe someone from the clinic can clarify?
  11. Thank you! Yes I am, please check my comment after the 6 month update for details. It is going very good with zero sides. 👍🏼 The minox I started off with 2.5mg to check and switched to 5mg after that proved to be unproblematic. Same with the Finasteride when I started taking it. I slowly built up to the 1mg I take now daily to see if it did not effect me in any negative way.
  12. Looking very good at this stage! Great that you are comfortable continuing business as usual.
  13. 7 Months post surgery update Hope everyone is having a nice easter weekend. When I set out for the transplant I wanted to have a head of hair again for the summer season. By having the surgery in mid September I could recover during the winter months. I could not have been happier with how it worked out so far. Thank you for all the kind words in this thread.
  14. Thank you! Appreciate it. So as far as the hair goes I take: Oral Finasteride - 1mg/day Oral Minoxidil - 5mg/day MSM - 1600mg/day Other supplements I take for general health: omega 3, zinc, quercetin, magnesium and vitamin D3 I have been on finasteride for 5 years before planning the HT, I think it is really important you try to balance out the hairloss before you consider a HT because if you don't it will be a never ending story with many frustrations. The minoxidil I have started taking in preparation of the HT, since I started taking this in the combination with finasteride the overall quality of the hair improved and I feel the hair loss has come to a halt completely. Only downside with the above two meds for me, as long as you stay without side-effects, is that you will need to take them daily for as long as you want to rock a head of hair.
  15. Could you share your top 5? Not needed to rank them, just the 5 names so everyone can check it out.
  16. 6 Months post surgery update Hello everyone, today it is six months since the operation. Things are developing nicely and to get some contrast to the last month I have waited with going to the barber again. Also, normally I do not wear my hair combed like this but I think it shows a little better where the transplanted hairs start. As you can see in some of the flash pictures there is a little see-through and when I can add one remark is that the overall structure of the right side (where I had the most hairloss and therefore transplanted hairs) looks a little curly and different from the rest. In the end, I still have a lot of time to continue to mature and regardless of the points named above I realize that my result is already better than what I could have expected/hoped for looking from where I came from. Wish everyone a great start of spring, may peace be with you. Front: Sides: Donor:
  17. Looking great, and amazing work with the scabs gone after 8 days. I recall having much more bleeding and therefore scabs, yours looks especially clean.
  18. Thank you Raphael, I am very grateful for the work of BHR. And thank you to everyone for the positive feedback. 🙏
  19. Looking good! It is on point and the best is now just around the corner.
  20. Looking great already man! 🤩 By spring you will be a different man.
  21. Thanks mate! Currently not using any product, as I also haven't pre HT. How my hair was in the BHR pre-op pictures is product free and how I would wear it, however with a comb to one side for obvious reasons. Think it is best to not put anything in it except from shampoo every 2 days, if you can get away with it. Looking forward to see your progress!
  22. Looking great! Lucky you at 12 weeks with that many hairs still in. If they do not shed now you could be in for a great result early on. Happy growing.
  23. Hey man, I had exactly the same with removing my final scab on day 10 like on your last picture. The hair grew back! The first days you can't touch the grafts because they are looking for bloodsupply, at the point where you are allowed to remove the scabs they should already have done so and by removing some accidental hairs, you do not remove the graft entirely i.e. the potential for new hair to grow out. The only thing is that you might have ''removed'' the chance for these say +- 30 grafts to be early growers, and even that will not make for any difference with them being only 2% of your total graft count. The work looks very clean! Congratulations on making the step.
  24. 5 Months post surgery update Hello all, 2 days early this time. Some more growth, some more maturing and a new hair cut. Honestly, if this would have been the final result, I would have already been satisfied. Let's see where it goes from here. Will grow the hair on the top a little longer and will stick with the fade. Next update will be next month!
