Are you using any product on your hair yet?

Thanks mate! Currently not using any product, as I also haven't pre HT. How my hair was in the BHR pre-op pictures is product free and how I would wear it, however with a comb to one side for obvious reasons.

Think it is best to not put anything in it except from shampoo every 2 days, if you can get away with it.

Looking forward to see your progress!

Honestly, if this would have been the final result, I would have already been satisfied

Congratulations on such impressive early growth @LeBerry

You are looking great and able to maintain your hair short both in your donor and recipient and the natural result at such an early stage is impressive and your above quote really says it all!

Due to great feedback and interest, we have put together a video presentation of your journey so thank you so much for documenting and sharing your photos so consistently up until now, and things will only get better!

6 Months post surgery update

Hello everyone, today it is six months since the operation. Things are developing nicely and to get some contrast to the last month I have waited with going to the barber again. Also, normally I do not wear my hair combed like this but I think it shows a little better where the transplanted hairs start.

As you can see in some of the flash pictures there is a little see-through and when I can add one remark is that the overall structure of the right side (where I had the most hairloss and therefore transplanted hairs) looks a little curly and different from the rest.

In the end, I still have a lot of time to continue to mature and regardless of the points named above I realize that my result is already better than what I could have expected/hoped for looking from where I came from.

Wish everyone a great start of spring, may peace be with you.

Which the consistent quality of work that Dr Bisanga comes out with, he needs to be considered top 3/5 surgeons in the world. Just clean work every single time. I've NEVER ever seen a negative or sub par result from Bisanga. If I was in Europe I'd 100000% book a surgeon with him.

@LeBerry

Thank you for your update. Your hair is looking fantastic and already very natural.
In regard to hair structure and maturation, I am recently just past the 12 month stage and I have noticed that some hairs have only just settled in these last weeks/months. so as you have said with another 6 months until the 12 month stage, this will evolve and calm.
Some patients require a little longer and a few hair cycles will still present change in such structure.

It is great to see that already at this stage your result has surpassed your expectations.

Genuinely thrilled for you.

Could you share your top 5? Not needed to rank them, just the 5 names so everyone can check it out.

I agree that Bisanga is Top 5 in the world. However I have also see negative result with him. A HT is never a guaranteed result even with the best.

Can you post his negative result?

My top 5 would look like:

Konior, Bisanga, Hasson&Wong, Couto, & Freitas

Honarable metnions: Wesley, Feriduni

Guys,

Let’s keep this on thread on track. Subpar or negative results can be subjective. I’ve seen cases where the patients are happy and someone else may say it’s a negative result. But regardless, that is not the purpose of this thread.

This is a very good result.

I like to call it a no nonsense result, because its as natural as natural can be

Thank you! Appreciate it.

So as far as the hair goes I take:

Oral Finasteride - 1mg/day
Oral Minoxidil - 5mg/day
MSM - 1600mg/day

Other supplements I take for general health: omega 3, zinc, quercetin, magnesium and vitamin D3

I have been on finasteride for 5 years before planning the HT, I think it is really important you try to balance out the hairloss before you consider a HT because if you don't it will be a never ending story with many frustrations. The minoxidil I have started taking in preparation of the HT, since I started taking this in the combination with finasteride the overall quality of the hair improved and I feel the hair loss has come to a halt completely.

Only downside with the above two meds for me, as long as you stay without side-effects, is that you will need to take them daily for as long as you want to rock a head of hair.

I am not going to. Bisanga is one of the best and most ethical out there. But if you can't deal with teh possibility of a failure you should not have HT in the first place.  HT is not an exact science and there is no guarantee. That is my final say on this one
