  1. thanks Richard 11........below are the 12 day pics - at this stage most of the crusts have fallen off, there are residual short transplanted hairs lingering that will generally shed over the next few weeks. Some hair shafts have already disappeared. It is not unsual for a percentage of the hairs to continue growing. Pinkness will subside of the next month as well.
  2. that is sound advice by beardywierdy.....well put.....RoneRone - make an effort on the research end and definitely meet with the doctor that would actually be treating you and don't disregard your intuition......best of luck*
  3. jessie thanks for your kind words....ill get a scar pic at the patient's next follow-up orlhair1....nice to hear from you*
  4. This is a recent asian female case performed by Dr. Dorin. 1502 follicular units were transplanted consisting of 573 singles, 925 doubles and 4 threes. 2,435 hairs have been transplanted into her newly contoured hairline zone.
  5. I wanted to share this result with everyone as I think its important to understand how effective Propecia has the potential to be in addition to hair transplantation or as a stand alone remedy. Dr. Dorin did recommend the option of larger FUT but strongly urged the patient to consider medical therapy and I would say the patient is very glad he took that advice. Of course, this type of transformation is not to be expected in every case but often with a diffuse or miniturized balding pattern like below we see meaningful cosmetic improvement.
  6. thanks Spex....for those who see this keep in mind that this kind of growth is more typical around 6 months or so but early growth is always a nice surprise:cool:
  7. Another early developer here - Dr. True did an initial follicular unit hair transplant procedure to restore density and contour to this patient's hairline. 1,998 follicular units were transplanted consisting of 666 singles, 1189 doubles, and 143 threes - a total of 3,473 hairs.
  8. cheers Mick:) orlhair, Spex - appreciate the feedback hope to provide an update in the near future OH
  9. Below is an early result from a FUE treatment by Dr. True. Patient presented with a 3V pattern. The follicular extraction procedure produced 787 grafts for the hairline zone consisting of 168 singles, 397 doubles, and 222 threes. A total of 1,628 hairs were transplanted. The larger percentage of twos and threes is contributing to very good coverage even at this beginning stage, in addition to the quality & caliber of his hair.
  10. Dr. Devroye.....this was well-designed.........great stand alone result
  11. This patient in his early 60's is blessed with a great head of hair as I think we would all agree. He had experienced some hairline erosion over time and had some previous grafting which unfortunately did not meet his expectations. Dr. Dorin performed an FUT of 840 grafts to soften the previous work as well as build out the front and temporal regions.
  12. Janna...missed this one, when you look at the actual result there no question its a successful restoration...nice work as usual
  13. Neal.........you're healing is as expected, skin is looking healthy - you're really over the hump now and will see forward momentum from here....the donor area will continue to improve....thanks for the update* here are some higher quality post-ops from Neal's FUE treatment
  14. agreed, its definitely too early to judge your result....surprised that the crown is developing faster than the front, that's unusual....are you on Propecia? best to update in another 5 months....good luck
