  1. There is some stuff on his site about it - check this out - Hair Cloning Study A 'Substantial Step Forward' | Bernstein Medical - Center for Hair Restoration
  2. I recently received an email from Dr Bernstein's offce regarding some big steps that have been taking in Cloning Human Hair. Has anyone else heard about this? If so, have you heard of how far we might be to getting there someday? Just curious if others have been hearing about the medical advancements that have been made and if they feel this could be a viable solution in the near future. Thanks, Neal
  3. I have been using Propecia daily for almost 2 years now. I started taking finasteride a few months back and just started noticing my hair was looking much thinner and starting to fall out. I immediately switched back over to Propecia. Has anyone else had this side effect? The only other medications I am taking is 5,000 mcg of Biotin and a multivitamin. I eat extremely well, drink plenty of water, and workout at least 5 days a week. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
  4. Thank you Raphael84 and Thehairupthere for your responses. By the way, a skin fade is essentially a military haircut - no guard on the sides, faded up to a fairly short hair length on top. I just purchased DermMatch so hopefully that will help cover up some of the bald spots. Where I got the shock loss at is on the side of my head and with my hair style now, I hope that DermMatch can give me that "5 o'clock shadow" look on the sides. We'll see... As far as supplements go, I am currently taking Propecia, a multivitamin, 400 IU of Vitamin E, 5000 mcg of Biotin, 100 mg of zinc and a B-Vitamin... why not add MSM. I hope it helps my hair to grow faster. Last year when I got my first FUE, trying to cover up the shock loss was the worst part of the whole experience. I was such a pain. I hope its not as grueling this time...
  5. I just had my second FUE and once again... I got shock loss. I had my procedure done on Sept 10. Does anyone know any helpful tips that can help with (1) covering up the bald patches and (2) help with helping hair to grow back in those patches quicker? For one, I just gave myself a very tight (skin) fade to try and cover it up some. That didnt make it look any better and plus you can now see the red dots on the back of my head. After my first procedure, due to the shock loss, I was forced to shave my head to attempt to try and cover up the bald patches. I dont want to do that this time so I am going to try and hold on to a HIGH, close ('tight') fade and just pray that it doesnt spread larger. I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thank you. Neal
  6. I am now 7 months post-op and I was wondering if I can still expect a good majority of hair to sprout up. I have seen a great deal since month 5 and I was just curious if I should still expect it to get denser (from additional hair growth and not from just "thickening" of the current hairs that have come through. I highly doubt it but I thought I would ask... Is there a rule of thumb or percentage one can expect in regards to new transplant hairs sprouting up between now (7 months) and a full year after the procedure?
  7. Thank you all for your responses. I seriously appreciate the time that everyone took in responding to my post. The transpant was done to my frontal hairline and temple areas. I am looking forward to the months to come as more hairs start to strout through and density increase.
  8. I am a little over 5 months from my FUE transplantion (1508 grafts). The procedure went well and I am seeing some good growth. Its looking good but not as dense as I would like. How long should I expect new hairs to continue to sprout through the scalp? I was told up to 8 months. Is that accurate or have you see otherwise? I am not so much curious about maturation of hairs as i know the hairs will get thicker over time/up to 12 months, but i am more concerned about what the timeframe is for me to pretty much accept that all the hairs have sprouted through. Thank you for any commments!
  9. Hi, I had a 1508 FUE done by Dr True back in early August. I am 80 days out (little over 2.5 months). Can someone tell me how I am progessing based on my pics? When can I expect all the grafts to start sprouting through my scalp. The hairs poking through my scalp now seem to be a little thin. As you can see from my picks, the one from about 15 days out, it looked great (before the hairs fell out) and I am hoping that the final result looks like that. Also, I have been shaving my head because I had really bad shock loss (still have a little). Thank you for any comments. Neal
  10. i hope so. i was putting vitamin e on it religously but you can still see them. any suggestions on what else i can do? my transplant was 1508 grafts.
  11. Thank you. I have not sent them to Dr. True. I sent him one pic right when it first started and when it wasnt this severe. He confirmed that this was the shock from the transplant. Thank you. I just hope it starts to come back soon.
  12. I received an FUE transplant on August 5th by Dr. True. He did a great job. I started to see slight shockloss (or at least that is what I think it is) around August 25th. It started to get real bad around August 29th. I just took these pictures. Can people please comment on them and let me know if this is normal shockloss. Its seems pretty significant (pictures dont do it justice). Any "rule of thumb" on when the hair in the donor area starts to grow back. Oh yeah, and the shockloss is only on the left, backside of my head; nothing on the right. Thanks for taking the time to assist me!
  13. Does anyone know where you can buy Propecia for cheap? I wasnt sure if there was a place you could get REAL Propecia for cheap. Thank you for any feedback you can provide.
  14. Corvettester, Just spoke to Eyal. Got an appt with Dr. True in July! Thanks for the help.
  15. corvettester, Thank you. By the way, your hair proceedure looks like it went great. Big difference... I am sure you are very pleased with the results. And yes, I think you are right. If I am going to be in NY that day, why not see a few others. I am trying to set up an appt with True & Dorin as we speak! Thanks again.
