Dr. True performed an FUT on this patient in his mid 20's to restore permanent density to the front/bridge region. Around the same time, Propecia was initiated for stabilization of the top/crown. I wanted to show this case study as it speaks to the concerns of our female patients as to how they might effectively transition from the procedure to again being able to present themselves with a more normal appearance in the post-operative period. This result is 2.5 years post-op so this patient considering another step in the vicinity of 2500 grafts to offset further hair loss that has occurred as well as compliment the current density achieved. Dr. Dorin recently visited with his patient for follow-up. It's been about 5.5 months since Dr. Dorin performed an FUT for hairline restoration. The treatment consisted of 1204 follicular units for a total of 2318 hairs. Although 5.5 months is early in the development of a transplant, there is very good consistency and yield at this stage with more change to come over the next 6 months.

Janna.....very nice approach......while it may be "conservative" it apparent the treatment had a signficant change on this patient's appearance. another example of the synergy between medical therapy and hair transplantation.

This patient presented to Dr. True with an unaesthetically pleasing hairline as a result of a treatment performed by another physician believe it or not only 2 years ago. A host of issues were tackled including spacing,angulation, verticality, the presence of multi-haired grafts at the hairline edge. Dr. True perfomed an FUT for correction producing 1796 follicular units made up of 472 singles, 1004 doubles, and 320 threes. Although its quite early in development, already seeing much better uniformity and softness in appearance. As the transplanted hair grows longer this will be show even more so.

This female patient came to Dr. Dorin to rebuild what had become a very fragile and thin frontal hairline. Dr. Dorin strategically placed 885 grafts to restore density and contour to her hairline using a combination of 366 singles, 496 doubles, and 33 three hair follicular units.

Growth has begun for this patient at the 4 month mark. Dr. True's FUT consisted of 1709 grafts: 757 singles, 912 doubles, and 35 threes.

Xtatic5.......be helpful to see a pic of your current hairline level and a depiction of the level your are wishing to obtain to comment on your situation but the bottomline is that you don't want to create a hairline that looks artificial in any way and it sounds like the doctors with whom you have consulted are looking our for your best interest in terms of a short term fix but with also with a bigger picture in mind.
